About the teaching material
The main content of this unit is to talk about “Things around the house” and learn to inquiry “the location of objects”. Make Ss learn basic sentence patterns “Where’s my backpack It’s under the chair.” At the same time, guide Ss to adopt the studying strategies of listening for key words, inferring vocabulary and role playing to learn to use the preposition of place on, in, under, behind, next to express the location of plete the dialogue through listening to the key words. Learn to guess the correct spelling forms of the words according to rearrangement. Learn new sentence patterns by using cartoon.

（2）介词：in ,on, under;

1．重点： a:方位介词的用法；
b:Where 的特殊疑问句和一般疑问句：
Is the… in/on/under the … 的肯定、否定回答；
2．难点：a. 能够准确运用方位介词描述物品所在的位置；
b．能够运用Where问句找到物品的位置。
第一课时Period One (Section A 1a-1c)
Teaching aims:
1、学会一些表示家具的名词以及学习用品的单词；
2、学会方位介词：in, on, under…的用法；
3、学会运用方位介词和Where句型表述物品的正确位置。

要求掌握以下句式：

通过使用方位介词“on / in /under ”表达物品的位置及学习“Where Yes /No ”疑问句的用法。使学生会区别特殊、一般疑问句。

该部分学习内容贴近学生的生活，谈论的主题是学生最关心的问题，促进学生了解自己的家居环境，热爱自己的家。

Teaching aims:
1、熟练运用一些表示家具的名词以及学习用品的单词；

2、能设计自己理想的房间并运用所学知识来描述房间
Language point:
要求掌握以下句式：

要求掌握以下单词：can, bring ,take, need, etc.
Teaching steps:
Chant to revise “where is… And where are… ”
2.Play a guessing game: Where’s…/ where are… Ask the students to use “Is it… / Are they… ” to guess where the thngs are.
3.Show a room and ask them to introduce the things in the room.
4.Show Tommy’s room and revise Section B 2a.Practise in pairs.
5． Work on Section B 3a
First of all,tell the students something about the letter,get the students to listen to the tape and find where the things are and draw the missing things in the picture. When you finished put up your hands, and let me know. Then check the answers.
6．Work on Section B 3b
