单元教学内容
让学生学会向别人做自我介绍,学会交朋友。
学会使用与他人见面时的问候语。
学会电话号码的表达方法并能向他人索取电话号码。
单元教学目标
语言知识目标
学生能听、说、 读、写课标内单词 zero-nine,phone number,first name /last name , hi, hello 等。
学生学会运用这些句型:

能正确流利地用英语向他人介绍自己,并乐于与同伴交往。
能正确使用问候语。

Step 2 presentation
1.T: ( Use a toy or a picture of a dog.) Hello. My name is Wangwang. Nice to meet you.
(help students to say: Hello. Nice to meet you,too.)
2.T: Hello.What’s your name
S: My name is …
T: Nice to meet you.(shake hands)
S:Nice to meet you,too.
Then students practice with the classmates.
3.T: We’re going to meet some new friends. Look at these pictures: Who are Jenny, Gina, Mary, Jim, Alan
4. Listen to the tape and number the conversations (1b)
5. listen again and find the right pictures

6. Do 2a listen and number the pictures.

Teaching steps:
Step 1. Revision
Greeting: Hello. /Nice to meet you. /What’s your/his/her name
Step 2. Presentation
T: (show a picture of Zhou Jielun) What’s his name
His name is Zhou Jielun. Zhou is his last/family name. Jielun is his first name.
(Repeat with another student.)
2.Look at this boy. What’s his last /first name
3.Then students introduce themselves like this:
My name is … my first name is… my last name is …
4. Make a survey (group work)
Name First name Last name
5.Each group gives a report.
6.Look at this English boy. His name is Jim Green. What’s his first /last name
Can you tell the difference
Students discuss it.
7. Practice: Do you know their first /last names (show some persons’ names.)
Step 3 practice
1.Do 3a. Read the list of names. Write F for first name and L for last name.
T:Tony is a boy’s name. And Gina is a girl’s name. Draw a boy and a girl on the blackboard.
( Teach : boy /girl)
Look at these names . Do you know which are boys’ names and which are girls’ names
3b. Each student chooses a first name and a last name from the name list .Ask their classmates their new first names and last names. Then make a name list.
