设计思路
新课程理念下的英语课堂教学强调学习过程,强调学生参与,强调学生发展。在设计本课时,以新课程理念为指导思想,突出学生能力培养、突出学生语言能力发展,注重以学生为中心,注重学生知识与能力的共同发展,在明确教学目标的前提下,运用任务型教学方法, 以学生为中心, 以活动为主线, 来设计这节课。通过设计有效的教学活动,充分调动学生的积极性,开发学生智力与潜力,使学生逐步理解课文大意,掌握所学的短语、结构。在技能发展上使学生学会如何针对空气污染的问题,给出一些解决问题的建议。
教材分析
本课是出自北京市课改版试验教材八年级下第14册的Unit 6The Earth’s Atmosphere的第二部分Reading and writing。这一单元的话题是世界和环境,通过本单元的学习能够运用一般现在时和情态动词的被动语态和与环境相关的单词谈论保护环境的问题。本课的主题是“空气污染”。本课是第1课时,主要任务是了解文章结构及大意,所以我把重点放在通过阅读理解掌握文章大意上,学会如何谈论空气污染问题,引导他们关心、爱护自己所处的环境,并能提出一些简单的建议。
教学目标
Knowledge aims: 1. To understand 10 words in three skills. 2. To master 4 phrases in four skills.3. To be able to get information of air pollution through reading.Ability aims: 1. To be able to improve the reading ability of getting specific information through fast and careful reading.2. To be able to simply talk about the problems of air pollution and make suggestions to solve the problems and then write them down.Moral aim: To arouse the students’ consciousness of protecting environment.
教学重点和难点
(一)教学重点 1. To learn 10 words in three skills. 2. To learn 4 phrases in four skills.3. To get information and understand the meaning of the text throughreading.
(二)教学难点 1. To train students’ reading ability of how to get information through fast reading and intensive reading.2. To be able to talk about the problems of air pollution and give some suggestions.
