It is still read and loved.
主语+am / is / are+done
主语+was / were+done
This film star is loved by all his fans.
Computers are widely used in the world nowadays.
The windows were broken by the naughty boys.

A book review of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
One of my favourite great books is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer , by Mark Twain. The story is set in the town of St Petersburg, Missouri, the US, in the nineteenth century. It tells some exciting stories about a boy who has many adventures.
Tom, the hero of the book, lives with his aunt Polly. He is a lively and clever boy. He does not like people telling him what to do, so he always gets into trouble. He and his best friend, Huck Finn, run away to an island in the middle of the Mississippi River. Tom has more trouble because a bad man named Injun Joe is looking for him. Later, Tom escapes from a cave with another friend, Becky. He also finds Injun Joe’s treasure box and takes it away.
My favourite part of the book is when Tom and Huck start their adventures on the island in the Mississippi River. At first, they are happy. But when they hear that everyone thinks they are dead, they feel very sorry, so they come back home. They hide and watch for a time when they see their family and neighbours coming to their funeral in the church. Then, Tom and Huck suddenly appear. Everyone is surprised to see them at first, but very pleased to find that they are alive.
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a great book. It is more than an adventure story. Mark Twain wrote it in 1876. It describes people’s lives in the southern states of America at that time. It tells how young people grow, how people love each other and how bad people pay for their actions. It is written in everyday English, and the dialogues sound especially real. Today, it is still read and loved by people all over the world, and it is thought to be one of the greatest American stories.
Not all memories are sweet. Some people spend all their lives trying to forget bad experiences. Wars and traffic accidents can leave people with terrible physical and emotional (精神上的) hurts. Often they appear again in dreams.
Now American researchers think they are close to developing a drug, which will help people forget bad memories. The pill is designed to be taken immediately after a frightening experience. They hope it might reduce or possibly erase(清除) the effect of painful memories.
In November, experts tested a drug on people in the US and France. The drug stops the body producing chemicals that fix memories in the brain. So far the research has suggested that only the emotional effects of memories may be reduced, not that the memories are erased.
The research has caused a great deal of argument. Some think it is a bad idea, While others support it.
Supporters say it could lead to drugs that prevent or treat soldiers' troubling memories after war. They say that there are many people who suffer from terrible memories.
"Some memories can ruin(毁坏) people's lives. They come back to you when you don't want to have them in a dream. They usually come with very painful emotions," said Roger Pitman, a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. "This could reduce a lot of that suffering."
But those who are against the research say that changing memories is very dangerous because memories give us our identity (特质). They also help us all avoid the mistakes of the past.
"All of us can think of bad experiences in our lives that were terrible at the time but make us who we are. I'm not sure we want to erase those memories, "said Rebecca Dresser, a medical ethicist.

To be a good learner, we should have good habits and ways in learning. First, it's important to get ready for our lessons before class and listen carefully in class. After class, we’d better go over the lessons and finish our homework on time. Second, we need to help each other and study in groups. It can not only help us solve problems but also provide us the opportunities to learn to cooperate with others. Above all, working hard is important, but don’t forget to do sports and keep healthy. I hope all of us will become good learners.
