【概念】
动名词即动词的-ing形式,相当于名词。
【用法】
在句子中可以作主语、宾语、表语、定语等成份。当动名词短语在句中作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
【例句】
Playing basketball on the street is dangerous. 在街上打篮球是危险的。(作主语)
Students, stop talking, please. 同学们,不要说话了。(作宾语)
Her job is cleaning the streets. 她的工作是清扫街道。(作表语)
Doing lots of listening practice is one of the secrets of learning.(listening作定语修饰practice)进行大量的听力训练是学习的秘诀之一。
