学情分析 学生已学习了存在句there be 的基本概念和结构以及问数量的特殊疑问词组How many,尤其对there be句型的意义和用法有了较深理解,在这一课时中应能应用所学的阅读技巧,来进一步理解there be 结构及学习相关的方位表达方式,并理解方位介词短语放句首时的倒装句结构。
教学目标 1 知识与能力: 1)学习、掌握本单元单词、词组(building, library, dining hall, a sports hall, at the school gate, science lab, in the middle of..., on the left/right of..., near/next to, between...and..., in front of/in the front of..., etc.)的意义和用法。
2)进一步理解和掌握存在句there be表示“某地/某物有…”的用法并能运用。
3)能听懂、读懂有关介绍地点方位的短文,了解大意并从中获取主要信息。
4)能够运用本课所学单词、词组和there be和方位介词来进行口头和书面表达。
2 过程与方法:先通过自由讨论及头脑风暴复习上一单元的语法结构和短语;再进入本课重点短语和句型的学习;然后进行泛读和精读来进一步学习there be 句型及方位介词放句首句子要倒装的结构来表达、介绍地点方位。最后进入写作,根据要求完成短文写作。
3 情感、态度与价值观:通过学习有关方位介绍的短文引导学生关注学习与生活中相关的方位介绍,意识到学习与生活息息相关,端正态度来学习和生活。引导学生要热爱学校,保护学校环境。

教学重难点 1. 重点词汇:building, library, dining hall, a sports hall, at the school gate, science lab, in the middle of..., on the left/right of..., near/next to, between...and..., in front of/in the front of..., etc.
2. 学生能进一步理解和掌握there be的用法和学习方位介词短语的用法。
3. 学生能准确、熟练地运用there be及方位介词短语的结构进行听说读写的训练。

设计意图与分析
Step 1 Warming-up
1. 通过自由讨论复习上个单元的重点语法结构和句型。
2. 通过回答老师的问题引导到学校,图书馆以及图书馆的方位来引出话题。
Step 2 Pre-reading.
说出学校中的图书馆,使学生进入一个真实的学习情境中,并为生词及短语的学习做好准备。
认知本单元的重点短语,熟悉即将在阅读中出现的词组和句型,为读、写训练做准备。
学生运用所学的方位介词描述他们的座位在教室中的位置,加深对方位介词的理解。

教学感悟或反思 由于本课时的教学内容是围绕“我的学校”的话题来进一步学习there be 句型及学习一些方位介词短语的用法。在教学中,首先要通过较为直观的图片等引导学生理解方位介词短语的含义,同时给出适当的时间让学生运用方位介词短语描述他们在教室中的位置,学以致用。此外,还可以让学生结合自己的学习生活实际,与同桌合作为学校画地图并分别写一篇介绍学校不同建筑物的短文,进一步加深对there be句型及方位介词短语的理解,这样用不同的方式来调动学生学习的积极性,同时也丰富学生的思维。
