【教材分析Analysis of the teaching materials】
This module is about the dialogue between Miss Li and her new classmates . Miss Li first introduced herself. Then I asked about the new students one by one, include name, age and family location. The textbook presents both American and English sounds to the students so that they can have a preliminary understanding of the diversity of phonetics.

This module has the function of connection and import. The theme of this module is self-introduction. The students have just entered junior high school and are not familiar with each other. They can introduce themselves to each other through learning.

Step1. warming up
Show the word cards to the students.Ask the students to spell and read the words freely.
The purpose of this is to enable students to pay their attention to the class easily , and improve their speaking ability .
Step 2 Revision .
It抣l cost 3 minutes . In this step , I抣l lead the students to review the being verbs,and ask the students to summarize the subject of the verbs .
The purpose of this is to give the students a chance to presentation themselves. This can help the students to remember the words better,and prepare for the new lesson.
Step 3 leading in .
It will cost 2 minutes . I抣l show some pictures , and ask the questions: Do you know him\her? Who is he\she? The question is related to the topic and students can grasp it easily by answering the questions.
The purpose of this is to form a better English learning surrounding for the students , and at the same time, it provides situations to review the learnt knowledge for the next step.
Step 4 presentation .
It抣l cost 3 minutes . I抣l show some words and sentences ,and ask students to guess the meanings of new words .with the help of PPT ,I抣l set a real situation to help the students learn new words and sentence pattern .
The purpose of this is to present the new words and sentences in the situation, which relates to the students real life experiences, to help the students understand the language easily and naturally.
Step 5 Listening .
It抣l cost 4 minutes . In this step , I抣l Play the video on the whiteboard,and ask the students to listen the text carefully and answer the questions .
The purpose of this is to improve the students ability of listening and help them to understand the text easily.
Step 6 Reading .
It抣l cost 6 minutes . In this step , I抣l divide the whole class into 7 groups to have a competition by reading the dialog and role-playing .
The purpose of this is to draw the whole students attention to the pronounciation of the words and sentences . Task-based teaching method is used here, the activity is to develop students ability of communication .
Step 7 Practice .
It抣l cost 6 minutes . In this step ,I抣l ask students to make a new dialog in groups and act it out to check if they can use new words and sentence pattern correctly.
The purpose of this is to check if students can use the sentence pattern correctly . And develope the students cooperation ability .
Step 8 Language points .
It抣l cost 5 minutes . In this step ,ask the students to find out the language points in the text in groups , the more ,the better.
The purpose of this is to lead the students to summarize the points and learn the new knowledge by themselves.
Step 9 Exercises .
It抣l cost 5 minutes . In this step ,let the students practice the main points in the text. And do some exercises from the entrance exam to senior high schools.
The purpose of this is to consolidate [k?n's?l?de?t] the key points of this lesson, and get ready for the exam .
Step 10 Summary .
It抣l cost 4 minutes . In this step ,I抣l guide students to talk about what they have learnt in class. I will prepare the different cards before the class; Students should make a conclusion according to the cards. Different card includes different question. For example, do you remember the key words, key sentences or language points in this unit ? After discussing, the headman of the group will tell the whole class their answers. At the same time, a student will be elect to write down the useful words , sentences and language points on the blackboard. And I will check the answers together with the students.
The purpose of this is to cultivate their abilities of summary and independence.
Step 11 Homework .
Go over today抯 lesson and preview next lesson , go to the library or search the internet for some information ,then write a short passage .
The purpose of this is to lead the students to complete the homework independently, and prepare for the next lesson .
Step12. Everyday language
A good beginning makes a good ending.
The purpose of this is to teach the students a common phrase at the end of each class, which can be a catchphrase or a communicative phrase, to help them accumulate English language in daily life.
