一、教材分析
本节课是Go for it七年级下册中第七单元“What does he look like ”的第一课时。核心话题是谈论人的外表形象(look), 教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型等特点。因此 ‘talking about sb’s look是教学重点。通过本节课的学习,使学生能掌握本单元出现的表示人物外观的词组及句型。
二、学情分析
我所教学的对象是初一学生,90%对英语普遍感兴趣,但也有很大的不稳定性,好奇心强,求知欲旺盛,他们对学习英语既感到好奇又担忧,希望能得到他人的肯定。因此我在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,努力营造说英语的氛围,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感,通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦,提高他们综合运用语言的能力,让他们都有所收获。

能用本课所学的生词和句型描述人物外貌,培养学生自学能力、阅读能力,提高学生的语言表达能力,锻炼学生实际交际能力以及与他人合作的能力

在解决问题的过程中,培养学生与他人合作,以及提高学生的语言表达能力
3 、情感态度价值观:
培养学生英语学习的乐趣和热情,做到在“在用中学,在学中用”。
学会赏识,懂得心灵美比外表美更重要
