Ⅱ. Analysis of the students
Junior high school students are teenagers with gradually mature psychology. They begin to bear their study burdens. However, many students have a poor foundation in English. And the biggest challenge for them is the lack of vocabulary. Besides, they find it hard to remember phrases and understand grammar.
Ⅲ. Teaching aims
1. Knowledge objectives.
The students can master some usages of some key words and phrases in these modules.
2. Ability objectives.
Develop the students abilities of summarizing and using the words and phrases correctly.
3. Emotion objectives.
Call on the students to face difficulty and try their best in their daily life.
Ⅳ. Teaching methods and studying methods
1. Teaching aids
In the process of teaching, I will ask students to enjoy the City Games Opening ceremony to attract the students’ attention. Besides, a handout will be given to the students to help them learn more effectively. At last, a blackboard and chalks will be also needed to present some important information.
2. Studying methods
It is well-known that teachers should teach the students 揾ow to learn rather than 搘hat to learn. So it抯 necessary for us teachers to teach them the strategy of learning by themselves and then gradually form the good habit of learning. So in this class, the students will be encouraged to use autonomous learning method, and communicative or cooperative learning method.
