1. Learn to compare the use of “v-ed” forms and the “v-ing” forms as attribute, adverbial, Oc, and predicative.

非谓语动词的结构与特点
非谓语动词包括分词、不定式和动名词,可以担当谓语之外的多种语法功能,表达多种语义关系,是英语中使用的频率很高、综合性很强的一个语言项目。
众所周知,一个句子中不能有两个或两个以上的谓语动词,除非动词为并列的谓语形式或多个谓语动词分别出现在主从复合句或并列句中。根据这个语法规则,我们可以确定所选动词该用谓语形式还是非谓语形式。

1. 不定式作宾语和宾语补足语
有些动词后只能用不定式作宾语. 如 afford, agree, ask, decide, desire, expect, fail, hope, manage, promise, pretend, plan, intend, refuse, wish等

英语中有些动词要接不带to 的动词不定式作宾语补足语, 这一类动词常见的有: make, let, have, feel, hear, listen to, see, look at, notice, watch, observe, help等.如:I heard him _______ (sing) last night.
感官动词直接接adj. 或介词短语作表语的用法
常见的有 look, sound, taste, smell, feel 等 如: The table feels smooth.

2. 动词的----ing 形式作宾语
以下动词或词组后只能用动词的---ing 形式作宾语; admit, appreciate, avoid, consider, delay, dislike, enjoy, escape, finish, imagine, miss, practice, suggest等.
3. 动词的---ing 形式及 ---ed 形式
在英语中,某些使役性动词加---ing 或 ---ed 形式都构成形容词,但含义不同. ---ing 形式表示 “令人……..的” 而-----ed 形式表示 “感到……的; 觉得…….的” 如:
satisfying令人满意的/satisfied感到满意的 frightening可怕的/ frightened感到害怕的
类似的动词还有surprise, disappoint, worry, excite, puzzle, delight, tire, bore, shock, astonish 等. 如: Hearing the __________ news, she was too ______ ___ to say a word. (excite)
