1.I am a 15-year-old boy and I’m quite healthy.
15-year-old意思为“十五岁的”,符合形容词结构,在句中通常放在名词前作定语,在此结构中year不能用复数形式。
例如:She is an eight-year-old girl.她是一个八岁的女孩。类似的用法还有:1.5-mile-run 1.5英里的长跑 800-meter race 800米的赛跑
15 years old 意思为“十五岁”,在句中只作表语,year和old两个单词中间不加连接符号。数词大于1时,year要用复数。…(s)old 表示“…岁”。
2.I drink milk and eat fresh fruit and vegetables instead of chips and choclate.我喝牛奶,吃新鲜水果和蔬菜,而不是薯条和巧克力。
(1)instead of意思为“代替…,而不是”,后接名次、代词、动名词。
例如:You should play outside instead of working indoors.你应该到外面玩玩,不该闷在屋里工作。
You must pick up my keys instead of yours.你肯定拿走了我的钥匙,而不是你的。
We use tractors to do the farm work instead of animals.我们使用拖拉机代替牲畜来干农活。
(2)instead adv. 意思为“代替,顶替,反而,却”,放在句尾或句首。
例如:We haven’t got any coffee.Would you like tea instead 我们没喝咖啡,你喝茶行吗?
We didn’t have enough time to go there,Instead,we had to watch TV in the room.我们没有足够的时间去那儿,只能在房间里看电视。
3.Healthy eating habits and running heap to build me up.健康的饮食习惯和跑步帮助我增强体质。
build up意思为“使…更强壮,增强…体质”,另外它还有“增强,增进”之意。
4.I have great fun running,and I feel well and look fit.
(1)have fun doing sth.从…中获得乐趣
(2)look fit= look healthy意思为“看起来健康”, look做系动词时,后跟形容词。
