Some parents said that they had difficulty in getting along with their children. I heard many parents complaining that their teenage children are rebelling. I wish it were so. At your age you ought to be growing away from your parents. You should be learning to stand on your own two feet. But take a good look at the present rebellion. It seems that teenagers are taking the same way of showing that they disagree with their parents. Instead of striking out boldly on their own, most of them are holding firmly at one another's hands for reassurance.
They claim they want to dress as they please. But they all wear the same clothes. They set off in new directions in music. But somehow they all end up crowded round listening to the same record. Their reason for thinking or acting in thus?and?such a way is that the crowd is doing it. They have come out of their cocoon (蚕茧) into a larger cocoon.
It has become harder and harder for a teenager to stand up against the popularity wave and to go his or her own way. Industry has firmly carved out a teenage market. These days every teenager can learn from the advertisements what a teenager should have and be. And many of today's parents have come to award high marks for the popularity of their children. All this adds up to a great barrier for the teenager who wants to find his or her own path.
But the barrier is worth climbing over. The path is worth following. You may want to listen to classical music instead of going to a party. You may want to collect rocks when everyone else is collecting records. You may have some thoughts that you don't care to share at once with your classmates. Well, go to it. Find yourself. Be yourself. Popularity will come梬ith the people who respect you for who you are. That is the only kind of popularity that really counts.
24.In this passage, the author wants to tell ________.
A.teenagers how to learn to decide things for themselves
B.readers how to be popular with people around
C.parents how to control and guide their children
D.people how to understand and respect each other
25.According to the author, many teenagers think they are brave enough to act on their own, but in fact, most of them ________.
A.have much difficulty understanding each other
B.lack confidence
C.dare not cope with problems single?handed
D.are much afraid of getting lost
26.What does the author think of advertisements?
A.Convincing. B.Influential.
C.Instructive. D.Authoritative(权威的).
27.During the teenage years, one should learn to ________.
A.differ from others in as many ways as possible
B.get into the right reason and become popular
C.find one's real self
D.rebel against parents and the popularity wave

The Internet has become part of teenage life. There's report on 3,375 students aged from 10 to 18 in seven Chinese cities. It says that 38% of them believe they use the Internet often. It uses real examples to teach students all about good ways of using the Internet. Some students also make online friends. But if you are meeting a friend offline, let your parents know.

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
When I was ten, I was suddenly faced with the suffering of moving from the only home I had ever known. My whole life, brief as it was, had been spent in that big old house, gracefully touched with the laughter and tears of four generations.
When the final day came, I ran to the small backyard and sat alone, with tears welling up from my heart. Suddenly I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. I looked up to see my_grandfather. 揑t isn't easy, is it, Billy?” he said softly, sitting down on the steps beside me.
“Grandpa,” I replied through my tears, “how can I ever say goodbye to you and all my friends?”
For a moment he just stared off into the apple trees. “Goodbye is such a sad word,” he said. “It seems too final, too cold, for friends to use. We seem to have so many ways of saying goodbye and they all have one thing in common: sadness. When you and your friends must part, I want you to reach deep within you and bring back that first hello. Come with me, my_friend.
We walked, hand in hand, to his favorite place in the front yard, where a huge red rosebush sat noticeably alone. Kneeling, he pulled me close. 揑t isn't just the roses that are beautiful, Billy. It's that special place in your heart that makes them so.
His eyes met mine again. 揃illy, I planted these roses a long time ago梑efore your mother came to the world. I put them into the soil the day my first son was born. It was my way of saying 憈hank you. That boy's name was Billy, just like yours. I used to watch him pick roses for his mother. I saw my grandfather's tears. I had never seen him cry before. His voice became hoarse (沙哑的).

第二节
One possible version:
Paragraph 1:
“One day a terrible war came, my son said goodbye to me and went for the war. Ten months later a telegram came. My son had died in some tiny village in Italy. All I could think of was that the last thing I said to him in life was goodbye.” Grandpa slowly stood up. “Don't ever say goodbye, Billy. Don't ever give in to the sadness and the loneliness of that word. I want you to take that special hello and lock it away within you.”
Paragraph 2:
A year and a half later, my grandfather became seriously ill. When he returned after several weeks in hospital, he wanted his bed next to the window, where he could see his beloved rosebush. I noted how tired he looked. I took his hand as gently as he had once taken mine. “Hello Grandpa,” I whispered. His eyes slowly opened. “Hello, my_friend,” he said, with a brief smile. He closed his eyes again and forever. Suddenly, I knew what he had meant about never saying goodbye—about refusing to give in to sadness.
