used to 表示“过去常常”，用来表示以往的事实或状况，后接动词原形
be used to 表示“习惯于”，可用于各种时态，后接动名词
eg: ①He used to walk to school.

alone 用作形容词，只做表语用，意为“单独的、独自的”，侧重说明独自一人。alone 还可以作副词用 lonely 意为“孤独的”，有较浓厚的感彩。 eg:①He lived alone.
