定语从句 Attributive Clause /Relative Clause
1,定义:定语从句,也称关系从句、形容词性从句,一个句子跟在一个名词或代词后进行修饰限定(对词句进行补充、修饰、限定,进而使原句内容更完整),就叫做定语从句。
按语法句式,定语从句在整个句子中做定语的成分 。
被定语从句修饰的名词或代词叫先行词。
定语从句不同于单词作定语的情况,它通常只能放在被修饰的词之后。如:a beautiful pen a pen which is beautiful
a handsome boy a boy who is handsome

关系代词:who,whom,whose,which,that,as
关系副词:when,where,why
3,关系词的三大作用:
连接作用;替代作用;成分作用。
He is the man who teaches us English. 代替the man, 做主语
She is the woman whom I can trust. 代替the woman, 做宾语
4,定语从句分类:限制性定语从句;非限制性定语从句。
关系代词who,whom,whose,which,that,as 引导的定语从句
注意:关系代词that, which, who(whom)在从句中作宾语时,常常省略。
