Step 1:Warming up
Ask and answer the questions about public holidays:
1.What festivals do Chinese people celebrate?
2.What festival do you like best?
3.How do you celebrate it?
Step 2:Language practice
Read the sentences and fill in the blanks with the proper words.

1.Revise the usage of adverbial clauses with after,as soon as,before,since,until,when,while.
2.Complete the sentences with the correct form of the words or expression in the box in Activity 1.There may be more than one answer.
3.Check the answers and read the sentences aloud.
4.Complete the conversation with the clauses in the box in Activity 2.
5.Let several students give their answers.
6.Check the answers.
7.Ask the students to read the conversation aloud.
Step 4:Practice 2
1.Revise the usage of adverbial clauses with after,as soon as,before,since,until,when,while.
2.Work in pairs.Ask and answer questions about yourself in Activity 3.
(1)Do you do your homework before you have dinner?

(5)What do you say when someone gives you a present?
(6)How many subjects have you studied since you started school?
3.Let some students answer the questions.
