第一节
阅读理解(共10小题;每小题2.5分,满分25分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
A
My
little
grandson
Nolan
just
turned
four
last
week.
He
loves
playing
with
toy
cars.
He
even
sleeps
with
cars
in
his
hands.
So
I
knew
he’d
be
excited
about
the
car
that
my
husband
and
I
bought
him
for
his
birthday.
I
talked
to
Nolan
the
day
I
bought
his
present
and
told
him
that
Grandmama
had
something
he
was
really
going
to
like.
For
the
week
and
a
half
after
that,
it
was
all
he
could
do
to
wait.
He
asked
if
it
was
big
and
guessed
what
it
was
over
and
over.
And
I
gave
him
some
strange
suggestions.
He’d
say,
“Grandmama,
it’s
not
that!”
The
day
of
his
party
arrived
and
as
people
gathered
at
Nolan’s
house,
the
pile
of
presents
got
bigger
and
bigger.
Nolan
came
to
where
I
was
sitting
in
the
kitchen
and
said,
“Grandmama,
did
you
bring
my
present?”
I
told
him
I
did,
and
we
walked
into
the
living
room
so
I
could
show
the
wrapped
box
to
him.
It
was
almost
as
big
as
he
was.
A
few
minutes
later,
I
heard
a
loud
sound
and
when
I
looked,
he
was
trying
to
drag
the
heavy
box
into
the
kitchen.
He
looked
up
at
me
and
said,
“Can
I
open
it
now?”
I
told
him
he’d
have
to
wait
just
a
little
bit
longer
until
after
everyone
ate.
He
had
such
a
hard
time
waiting,
but
when
his
mama
said
it
was
time
to
open
presents,
Nolan
tore
(撕)
into
that
big
box
and
discovered
that
it
was
worth
waiting.
It’s
sometimes
the
same
way
in
our
lives.
We
know
something
great
is
to
come.
But
when
it
doesn’t
arrive
right
away,
we’re
just
like
little
Nolan.
And
then
when
it
still
doesn’t
arrive,
we
get
impatient.
But
just
as
Nolan
learned,
it’s
finally
worth
the
wait.
1.

we
know
about
Nolan’s
hobby?

2.

buy
the
present
for
Nolan?

week
before
his
birthday.
D.
More
than
a
week
before
his
birthday
3.

presents.
C.
Numbers

toys.
D.
Pictures
of
cars.
4.

does
the
author
intend
to
do
in
Paragraph
3?
A.
Add
some
background
information.
B.
Summarize
the
previous
paragraphs.
C.
Provide
the
descriptions
for
the
waiting.
D.
Introduce
the
celebration
of
Nolan’s
party.
5.
What’s
the
best
title
for
the
text?
A.
Why
is
the
wait
worth
it?
B.
What
is
kids’
best
present?
C.
When
is
the
best
time
to
share?
D.
When
will
something
good
happen?
B
It
is
already
known
that
dogs
can
use
their
highly
developed
sense
of
smell
to
search
out
drugs,
and
disaster
survivors.
Now,
some
are
being
trained
to
find
a
different
kind
of
threat

a
plant
species
(物种)
that
can
harm
the
environment.
The
plant
is
a
yellow-flowered
bush
called
Scotch
broom.
It
is
common
in
areas
of
America’s
Pacific
Northwest,
but
still
fairly
new
to
New
York.
And
its
rapid
growth
can
also
close
off
areas
to
wildlife.
Officials
are
trying
to
stop
the
plant’s
growth
before
it
becomes
widespread.
A
2010
study
reported
high
success
rates
of
dogs
using
their
noses
to
search
out
invasive
(入侵的)
species.
The
study
found
that
trained
dogs
could
smell
and
find
two
times
more
invasive
plants
than
humans
could
watch
with
their
eyes.
Joshua
Beese,
a
dog
handler
with
the
Trail
Conference
group,
said,
“If
we
have
to
find
all
these
plants
ourselves,
searching
the
grass
for
every
tiny
plant,
it
will
take
much
longer.
And
we
will
still
miss
a
lot,
because
hundreds
of
small
plants
like
Scotch
broom
are
largely
hidden
by
other
local
plants’
growth.”
Another
organization
working
on
the
problem
is
Working
Dogs
for
Conservation.
It
tries
to
train
dogs
to
protect
wildlife
and
wild
places,
including
invasive
species
work.
The
group
has
trained
dogs
in
several
states
including
Montana,
Iowa,
Colorado
and
Hawaii.
Human
teams
had
tried
for
years
to
find
and
remove
a
destructive
(破坏性的)
plant
in
one
area
of
Montana
without
much
success.
But
after
two
trained
dogs
from
Working
Dogs
for
Conservation
were
brought
in
to
help,
the
species
nearly
disappeared
within
a
few
years,
because
they
could
smell
plants
hidden
among
other
species.
That’s
a
game-changer.
Each
plant
can
set
up
to
15,000
seeds
(种子)
a
year,
and
seeds
can
live
for
seven
years
in
the
soil.
Dogs
find
plants
before
they
flower
and
reproduce.
6.
Why
do
New
York
officials
try
to
stop
Scotch
broom’s
growth?
A.
They
know
little
about
the
plant.
B.
They
cannot
control
the
plant’s
growth.
C.
They
find
the
plant
harmful
to
the
environment.
D.
They
want
to
see
if
their
dogs
are
well
trained.
7.
What
difficulty
do
humans
have
in
finding
invasive
plants?
A.
The
number
of
the
plants
is
too
large.
B.
They
look
too
much
like
local
plants.
C.
It’s
hard
to
train
the
dogs.
D.
It’s
not
easy
to
see
them.
8.
How
does
the
author
feel
about
the
solution
to
the
problem
of
invasive
plants?
A.
Useful.
B.
Doubtful.
C.
Puzzled.
D.
Surprised.
9.
The
organization
Working
Dogs
for
Conservation
tries
to
train
dogs
to

places
③protect
invasive
species
④search
out
invasive
species
A.
①②
B.
①②③
C.
①②④
D.

10.
What
is
the
best
title
for
the
text?
A.
The
ways
to
find
invasive
plants
B.
The
threat
brought
by
invasive
plants
C.

七选五(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Five
steps
to
better
handwriting
Some
kids
love
handwriting,
but
others
hate
it
when
it’s
time
to
put
pen
to
paper.
Maybe
they
are
worried
about
their
handwriting.
Are
you
one
of
them?
____11____Here
are
five
steps
that
really
work!
Get
a
great
grasp
Try
this

hold
your
pencil
at
the
top
and
try
to
write
your
name.
Pretty
hard?
But
when
you
hold
your
pencil
the
correct
way,
writing
is
much
easier.
____12____Hold
it
in
place
with
your
thumb(拇指),
and
your
index
and
middle
fingers.
Let
the
lines
be
your
guide
Lined
paper
is
your
friend!
Those
lines
can
help
you
create
letters
that
are
of
the
right
size
and
proportion
(比例).
____13____Also
be
sure
to
fill
up
the
lined
space
completely.
Those
capital
letters
should
be
from
the
bottom
line
to
the
top
one.
Slow
down
If
your
writing
is
hard
to
read,
try
slowing
down
a
little.
If
you
rush,
it’s
hard
to
control
where
you
stop
and
start
your
letters.
Lower
the
pressure
(压力)
____14____That
makes
it
harder
to
make
the
smooth
lines.
Try
relaxing
and
don’t
hold
the
pencil
too
hard.
____15____
Lots
of
games
need
you
to
write
or
draw
pictures.
So
even
though
it’s
not
schoolwork,
you’re
still
using
the
skills
you
need
to
control
your
pencil
better.
A.
Play
games
B.
Ask
for
advice
C.
You’ve
been
writing
since
you
were
a
little
kid.
D.
So“a”should
be
half
the
height
of
a
capital“A”.
E.
Some
kids
press
down
really
hard
when
they
write.
F.
The
best
way
to
hold
a
pencil
is
to
rest
it
next
to
the
base
of
your
thumb.
G.
The
good
news
is
that
just
about
everyone
can
improve
their
handwriting.

faster.
Until
the
amount
reached
$175.76,
the
person
who
lost
it
_____32_____
came
looking,
which
left
Mattison
to
deal
with
it
in
the
best
way.
She
asked
the

whether
they
_____33_____
if
she

in

of

who

读后续写(满分25分)
47.
阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
Sally
was
only
eight
years
old
when
she
heard
Mommy
and
Daddy
talking
about
her
little
brother,
Georgy.
He
was
very
sick
and
the
doctors
told
them
that
only
a
very
expensive
operation
could
save
his
life.
However,
his
family
could
not
afford
it.
Sally
heard
Daddy
say
sadly,
“Only
a
miracle
(奇迹)
can
save
him
now.”
Sally
went
to
her
bedroom
and
found
her
piggy
bank.
She
shook
all
the
money
out
on
the
floor
and
counted
it
carefully.
Then
she
put
all
the
money
in
her
pocket
and
made
her
way
to
a
drugstore
(药店).
She
waited
patiently
for
the
storekeeper
to
give
her
attention,
but
he
was
busy
talking
to
another
well-dressed
man.
Sally
cleared
her
throat.
No
good.
Then
she
took
out
a
coin
from
her
pocket
and
threw
it
onto
the
glass
counter
(柜台).
That
did
it!
“What
do
you
want?”
the
storekeeper
asked
angrily.
“Can’t
you
see
I’m
talking
to
my
brother?”
“Well,
I
want
to
talk
to
you
about
my
brother,”
Sally
answered
back
bravely.
“He’s
sick,
and
I
want
to
buy
a
miracle.”
“I
beg
your
pardon,”
said
the
storekeeper.
“My
Daddy
says
only
a
miracle
can
save
him
now,
so
how
much
does
a
miracle
cost?”
“We
don’t
sell
miracles
here,
little
girl.
I
can’t
help
you.”
“Listen,
I
have
the
money
to
pay
for
it.
Just
tell
me
how
much
it
costs.”
Then
that
well-dressed
man
asked,
“What
kind
of
miracle
does
your
brother
need?”
“I
don’t
know,”
Sally
answered.
Tears
started
to
rush
into
her
eyes.
“I
just
know
he’s
really
sick
and
Mommy
says
he
needs
an
operation.
But
my
family
doesn’t
have
enough
money,
so
I
have
brought
all
my
money.
I
love
my
little
brother.”
“How
much
do
you
have?”
asked
the
well-dressed
man.
“A
dollar
and
eleven
cents,”
Sally
answered.
“And
that’s
all
the
money
I
have.”

阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
A
My
little
grandson
Nolan
just
turned
four
last
week.
He
loves
playing
with
toy
cars.
He
even
sleeps
with
cars
in
his
hands.
So
I
knew
he’d
be
excited
about
the
car
that
my
husband
and
I
bought
him
for
his
birthday.
I
talked
to
Nolan
the
day
I
bought
his
present
and
told
him
that
Grandmama
had
something
he
was
really
going
to
like.
For
the
week
and
a
half
after
that,
it
was
all
he
could
do
to
wait.
He
asked
if
it
was
big
and
guessed
what
it
was
over
and
over.
And
I
gave
him
some
strange
suggestions.
He’d
say,
“Grandmama,
it’s
not
that!”
The
day
of
his
party
arrived
and
as
people
gathered
at
Nolan’s
house,
the
pile
of
presents
got
bigger
and
bigger.
Nolan
came
to
where
I
was
sitting
in
the
kitchen
and
said,
“Grandmama,
did
you
bring
my
present?”
I
told
him
I
did,
and
we
walked
into
the
living
room
so
I
could
show
the
wrapped
box
to
him.
It
was
almost
as
big
as
he
was.
A
few
minutes
later,
I
heard
a
loud
sound
and
when
I
looked,
he
was
trying
to
drag
the
heavy
box
into
the
kitchen.
He
looked
up
at
me
and
said,
“Can
I
open
it
now?”
I
told
him
he’d
have
to
wait
just
a
little
bit
longer
until
after
everyone
ate.
He
had
such
a
hard
time
waiting,
but
when
his
mama
said
it
was
time
to
open
presents,
Nolan
tore
(撕)
into
that
big
box
and
discovered
that
it
was
worth
waiting.
It’s
sometimes
the
same
way
in
our
lives.
We
know
something
great
is
to
come.
But
when
it
doesn’t
arrive
right
away,
we’re
just
like
little
Nolan.
And
then
when
it
still
doesn’t
arrive,
we
get
impatient.
But
just
as
Nolan
learned,
it’s
finally
worth
the
wait.
1.
What
do
we
know
about
Nolan’s
hobby?
A.
He
likes
to
sleep
in
his
car.
B.
He
is
fond
of
playing
with
cars.
C.

is
good
at
driving
cars.
D.

the
present
for
Nolan?

before
his
birthday.
D.

【解析】
本文是记叙文。文章主要讲述了作者的孙子焦急地等待自己的生日礼物的故事,通过这个故事作者想告诉我们一切等待都是值得的。
【1题详解】
细节理解题。根据文章第一段.
He
loves
playing
with
toy
cars.
He
even
sleeps
with
cars
in
his
hands.他喜欢玩车,甚至在睡觉的时候都抱着车。可知作者的孙子很喜欢车。故答案为B项。
2题详解】
细节理解题。根据第二段的“For
the
week
and
a
half
after
that,
it
was
all
he
could
do
to
wait."
在那之后的一个半星期里,他所能做的就是等待。可知,作者是在Noian过生目的前一周半给他买的礼物,也就是生目前的10天左右.故答案为D项。
【3题详解】
词义猜测题。根据画线词后的He’d
say,
"Grandma,
it's
not
that!
”他会说:“奶奶,不是那个!
”可知,作者当时是给孙子说了一些礼物的名字.故答案为B项。
【4题详解】
推理判断题。根据第三段中He
looked
up
at
me
and
said,
“Can
I
open
it
now?”
I
told
him
he’d
have
to
wait
just
a
little
bit
longer
until
after
everyone
ate.
他抬头看着我说:“我现在可以打开了吗?”我告诉他,他还得再等一会儿,等大家都吃完饭再说。可知作者的孙子想打开礼物,但是作者想让孙子再等一会。可知本段主要是对等待的描述。故C项Provide
the
descriptions
for
the
waiting.提供等待的描述。合乎题意。故答案为C项。
【5题详解】
主旨大意题。本文主要讲述了作者的孙子等待礼物的过程,最后一段It’s

the
same

in
our
lives.
We

And
then

But
just

it’s

有时候在我们的生活中也是这样。我们知道一些伟大的事情即将到来。但当它没有马上到来时,我们就像小诺兰一样。当它还没有到的时候,我们就会不耐烦。但正如诺兰了解到的那样,等待是值得的。可知文章的最后一段升华主题:等待是值得的。故A项Why
is
the
wait
worth
it?(为什么等待是值得的)符合文意。故答案为A项。
B
It
is
already
known
that
dogs
can
use
their
highly
developed
sense
of
smell
to
search
out
drugs,
and
disaster
survivors.
Now,
some
are
being
trained
to
find
a
different
kind
of
threat

a
plant
species
(物种)
that
can
harm
the
environment.
The
plant
is
a
yellow-flowered
bush
called
Scotch
broom.
It
is
common
in
areas
of
America’s
Pacific
Northwest,
but
still
fairly
new
to
New
York.
And
its
rapid
growth
can
also
close
off
areas
to
wildlife.
Officials
are
trying
to
stop
the
plant’s
growth
before
it
becomes
widespread.
A
2010
study
reported
high
success
rates
of
dogs
using
their
noses
to
search
out
invasive
(入侵的)
species.
The
study
found
that
trained
dogs
could
smell
and
find
two
times
more
invasive
plants
than
humans
could
watch
with
their
eyes.
Joshua
Beese,
a
dog
handler
with
the
Trail
Conference
group,
said,
“If
we
have
to
find
all
these
plants
ourselves,
searching
the
grass
for
every
tiny
plant,
it
will
take
much
longer.
And
we
will
still
miss
a
lot,
because
hundreds
of
small
plants
like
Scotch
broom
are
largely
hidden
by
other
local
plants’
growth.”
Another
organization
working
on
the
problem
is
Working
Dogs
for
Conservation.
It
tries
to
train
dogs
to
protect
wildlife
and
wild
places,
including
invasive
species
work.
The
group
has
trained
dogs
in
several
states
including
Montana,
Iowa,
Colorado
and
Hawaii.
Human
teams
had
tried
for
years
to
find
and
remove
a
destructive
(破坏性的)
plant
in
one
area
of
Montana
without
much
success.
But
after
two
trained
dogs
from
Working
Dogs
for
Conservation
were
brought
in
to
help,
the
species
nearly
disappeared
within
a
few
years,
because
they
could
smell
plants
hidden
among
other
species.
That’s
a
game-changer.
Each
plant
can
set
up
to
15,000
seeds
(种子)
a
year,
and
seeds
can
live
for
seven
years
in
the
soil.
Dogs
find
plants
before
they
flower
and
reproduce.
6.

invasive
plants?

【解析】
这是一篇说明文。短文介绍了提高书写质量的五个步骤。
【11题详解】
由“Maybe
they
are
worried
about
their
handwriting.
Are
you
one
of
them?
____1____Here
are
five
steps
that
really
work!”可知,也许他们担心自己的书写。你是他们中的一员吗?这里有五个真的很有用的步骤。所以小题1要起到承上启下的作用。故G选项“好消息是,几乎每个人都可以提高他们的书写”切题。故选G项。
【12题详解】
由“
Hold
it
in
place
with
your
thumb(拇指),
and
your
index
and
middle
fingers.”可知,用拇指、食指和中指将其固定到位。所以小题2与后一句一同来说明如何正确地拿笔。故F选项“拿铅笔最好的方法是把它放在拇指底部”切题。故选F项。
【13题详解】
由“Those
lines
can
help
you
create
letters
that
are
of
the
right
size
and
proportion
(比例)”可知,这些线条可以帮助写出大小和比例合适的字母。所以小题3要举例说明这些线在书写时的作用。故D选项“所以“a”应该是大写字母“A”的一半高”切题。故选D项。
【14题详解】
由“That
makes
it
harder
to
make
the
smooth
lines”可知,这样就很难画出平滑的线条。所以小题4要说明哪种情况导致很难画出平滑的线条。故E选项“有些孩子写字的时候很用力”切题。故选E项。
【15题详解】
由“Lots
of
games
need
you
to
write
or
draw
pictures.
So
even
though
it’s
not
schoolwork,
you’re
still
using
the
skills
you
need
to
control
your
pencil
better”可知,很多游戏都需要你去写或者画画。所以即使这不是作业,你仍然在使用你需要的技能来更好地控制你的铅笔。所以本段主要在说明玩游戏也可以帮助你提高书写质量也就是小题5本段的标题所要说明的内容。故A选项“玩游戏”切题。故选A项。

Sally

eight
years
old
when
she
heard
Mommy
and
Daddy
talking
about
her
little
brother,
Georgy.
He
was
very
sick
and
the
doctors
told
them
that
only
a

save
his
life.
However,
his
family
could
not
afford
it.
Sally
heard
Daddy
say
sadly,
“Only
a
miracle
(奇迹)
can
save
him
now.”
Sally
went
to
her
bedroom
and
found
her
piggy
bank.
She
shook
all
the
money
out
on
the
floor
and
counted
it
carefully.
Then
she
put
all
the
money
in
her
pocket
and
made
her
way
to
a
drugstore
(药店).
She
waited
patiently
for
the

to
give
her
attention,
but
he
was
busy
talking
to
another
well-dressed

have

Mommy
says
he

【解析】
【分析】
这是一篇读后续写。通过阅读所给文章可知,小女孩Sally听到父母说弟弟Georgy病重,只有买到“奇迹”才能救弟弟,便把自己存的钱拿了出来,偷偷到药店为弟弟买“奇迹”。小女孩感人的一幕正好被店主的哥哥看到,他问Sally有多少钱,Sally说自己只有一美元和十一美分。
【详解】续写部分分为两段,第一段开头是:“好吧,我可以帮助你,”这位穿着考究的男人说道。后文可以这样讲述:“真是巧合!”
这位穿着考究的男人微笑着说道。一美元和十一美分正好可以购买奇迹来拯救你的弟弟。他一只手拿着她的钱,另一只手抓住了她的手套,说:“带我去你住的地方。
我想见见你的弟弟和你的父母”。那个穿着考究的男人是一位著名的外科医生,他擅长治疗Georgy的病。他为Georgy治病没有收费。
第二段开头是:不久,Georgy回到了家。后文可以这样讲述:他的身体恢复得不错。妈妈和爸爸愉快地谈论着这一连串事情。妈妈低声说那个手术就像是一个奇迹一样。妈妈想知道它要多少钱?Sally微笑着,
她确切地知道这个奇迹花费了多少钱。那就是她积攒的一美元和十一美分还有一个小孩子的信念。
续写时要求使用5个以上短文中标有下划线的关键词语增加了写作难度,我们要熟悉所给划线词语,恰当的时候加以运用。最后还要注意所续写短文的词数应为150左右,续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词语。
【点睛】续写内容详略得当,使用了固定短语和主从复合句。如:specialize
in,led
sb
to
a
place等固定短语。Take
me
to
where
you
live.
该句使用了where引导的宾语从句;Mommy
and
Daddy
were
happily
talking
about
the
chain
of
events
that
had
led
them
to
this
place.
该句使用了that引导的定语从句。
