第一节
阅读理解(共10小题;每小题2.5分,满分25分)
A
I
am
here
with
students
at
Wakefield
High
School
in
Virginia.
And
we’ve
got
students
listening
from
all
across
America,
from
kindergarten
to
12th
grade.
I
know
that
for
many
of
you,
today
is
the
first
day
of
school.
And
for
those
of
you
in
kindergarten,
or
starting
middle
or
high
school,
it’s
your
first
day
in
a
new
school,
so
it’s
understandable
if
you’re
a
little
nervous.
I
imagine
there
are
some
seniors
out
there
who
are
feeling
pretty
good
right
now

with
just
one
more
year
to
go.
And
no
matter
what
grade
you’re
in,
some
of
you
are
probably
wishing
it
were
still
summer
and
you
could
stay
in
bed.
I
know
that
feeling.
When
I
was
young,
my
mother
didn’t
have
the
money
to
send
me
where
most
American
kids
went
to
study,
but
she
thought
it
was
important
for
me
to
keep
up
with
an
American
education.
So
she
decided
to
teach
me
extra
lessons
herself.
But
because
she
had
to
go
to
work,
the
only
time
she
could
do
it
was
at
4:30
in
the
morning.
Now,
as
you
might
imagine,
I
wasn’t
too
happy
about
getting
up
that
early.
But
whenever
I
complained,
my
mother
would
just
give
me
one
of
those
looks
and
she’d
say,
“This
is
no
picnic
for
me
either.”
So
I
know
that
some
of
you
are
still
adjusting
to
being
back
at
school.
But
I’m
here
because
I
want
to
talk
with
you
about
your
education
and
what’s
expected
of
all
of
you
in
this
new
school
year.
Now,
I’ve
given
a
lot
of
speeches
about
education.
And
I’ve
talked
about
responsibility
a
lot.
I’ve
talked
about
teachers’
responsibility
for
encouraging
students
and
pushing
you
to
learn.
I’ve
talked
about
your
parents’
responsibility
for
making
sure
you
stay
on
track,
and
you
get
your
homework
done.
I’ve
talked
a
lot
about
your
government’s
responsibility
for
setting
high
standards,
and
supporting
teachers
and
principals,
and
turning
around
schools
that
aren’t
working,
where
students
aren’t
getting
the
opportunities
that
they
deserve.
But
at
the
end
of
the
day,
we
can
have
the
most
dedicated
teachers,
the
most
supportive
parents,
the
best
schools
in
the
world

and
none
of
it
will
make
a
difference,
none
of
it
will
matter
unless
all
of
you
fulfill
(履行)
your
responsibilities,
unless
you
show
up
to
those
schools,
unless
you
pay
attention
to
those
teachers,
unless
you
listen
to
your
parents
and
put
in
the
hard
work
it
takes
to
succeed.
That’s
what
I
want
to
focus
on
today:
the
responsibility
each
of
you
has
for
your
education.
I
want
to
start
with
the
responsibility
you
have
to
yourself.
Every
single
one
of
you
has
something
that
you’re
good
at.
Every
single
one
of
you
has
something
to
offer.
And
you
have
a
responsibility
to
yourself
to
discover
what
that
is.
That’s
the
opportunity
an
education
can
provide.
Maybe
you
could
be
a
great
writer
but
you
might
not
know
it
until
you
write
that
English
paper.
Maybe
you
could
be
an
inventor
but
you
might
not
know
it
until
you
do
your
project
for
your
science
class.
And
no
matter
what
you
want
to
do
with
your
life,
I
guarantee
that
you’ll
need
an
education
to
do
it.
And
this
isn’t
just
important
for
your
own
life
and
your
own
future.
What
you
make
of
your
education
will
decide
nothing
less
than
the
future
of
this
country.
The
future
of
America
depends
on
you.
What
you’re
learning
in
school
today
will
determine
whether
we
as
a
nation
can
meet
our
greatest
challenges
in
the
future.
That’s
why
today
I’m
calling
on
each
of
you
to
set
your
own
goals
for
your
education
and
do
everything
you
can
to
meet
them.
1.
What
can
we
learn
from
the
first
paragraph?
A.
Some
of
the
students
wish
they
could
still
be
on
holiday.
B.
All
of
the
students
from
America
are
listening
to
the
speech.
C.
Some
students
feel
nervous
because
it
is
their
first
day
in
an
old
school.
D.
Some
seniors
feel
good
because
they
will
have
more
than
one
year
to
graduate.
2.
From
the
passage,
we
can
conclude
that
______
is
the
most
important
in
students’
education.
A.
the
most
dedicated
teachers
B.
the
most
supportive
parents
C.
the
best
schools
in
the
world
D.
students
taking
their
own
responsibility
3.
Education
is
important
because
______.
A.
it
provides
students
with
opportunities
to
discover
what
they
are
good
at
B.
it
is
only
important
for
students’
own
life
and
own
future
C.
it
will
decide
the
greatest
challenges
students
meet
in
the
future
D.
it
will
have
no
influence
on
the
future
of
America
4.
What’s
the
main
focus
of
the
speech?
A.
Great
challenges
in
the
future.
B.
The
importance
of
education.
C.
Responsibility
students
have
for
their
education.
D.
The
opportunities
an
education
can
provide.
B
After
almost
a
year
of
saving
from
shopping
and
vacationing,
you
find
the
numbers
reflected
by
your
bank
account
meet
your
heat’s
desire.
Now
the
most
important
question
comes
what
to
do
with
the
earnings?
Should
you
fulfill
dreams
of
the
present,
or
keep
saving
it
for
a
rainy
day?
Our
elders
always
try
to
teach
us
the
value
of
money
and
its
uncertainty.
One
may
be
on
a
winning
situation
now,
but
it
will
not
always
be
so.
One
will
have
days
when
there
will
be
no
sunshine
but
only
rain,
and
their
luck
will
hide
behind
those
thick
grey
clouds.
Save
for
those
rainy
days,
they
say.
Do
not
spend
too
much,
live
within
a
budget,
stay
away
from
credit
no
matter
how
small
and
save
for
the
future.
Since
the
very
first
time
we
earn
our
own
money
from
a
summer
job
or
earn
our
first
salary,
the
lessons
start.
In
fact,
the
pocket
money
that
we
receive
when
we
are
children
starts
the
process
of
learning
how
to
best
manage
one’s
manage
one’s
money.
Future,
future,
future,
that’s
all
they
talk
about,
but
what
about
the
present?
What
about
our
current
desires,
wants
and
needs?
Wasn’t
our
present
once
our
future?
One
day
when
I
have
enough
money,
I
will
buy
myself
a
car.
One
day
my
luck
will
shine.
One
day
I
will
have
enough
money
to
travel
the
world.
Then,
once
we
do
earn
enough
money
from
saving,
tomorrow’s
plans
start
shadowing
our
present
ones.
However
is
it
wise
to
keep
living
for
that
future?
Will
we
still
enjoy
or
even
be
able
to
backpack
in
our
50s?
What
will
be
the
use
of
those
professional
cameras
when
pains
take
over
our
joints
and
our
mind
grows
dull?
Will
our
liver
be
able
too
handle
the
meat
and
alcohol
in
our
advanced
age?
What
if
our
life
ends
suddenly?
How
will
we
ever
enjoy
our
present
if
we
are
constantly
living
for
the
future?
I
say
enjoy
the
most
comfort
but
also
keep
enough
for
your
necessities,
and
stay
happy
with
your
present
but
with
a
plan
for
the
foreseeable
future.
Beyond
that,
life
is
not
in
our
control
and
we
shouldn’t
worry
about
the
unseen.
Life
is
for
the
living,
so
live
it
wisely.
5.

day”

is

on
a
rainy
day
B.

fast
on
a

may
lead
to

for
the

B.
the
author
doubts
the
meaning
of
living
in
the
world
C.
the
author
believes
that
enjoying
our
present
is
very
important
D.
the
author
is
not
sure
whether
we
should
save
money
or
spend
it
7.
The
statement
that
the
author
may
agree
with
is
that_____
A.
we
should
live
happily
regardless
of
others’
words
B.
we
should
care
more
about
future
and
shouldn’t
just
live
today
C.
we
should
live
happily
at
present
and
be
prepared
for
the
future
D.
we
must
save
lots
of
money
for
unexpected
accidents
C
Your
best
friends
may
just
be
your
worst
enemies,
especially
when
it
comes
to
young
women
checking
out
images
of
their
friends
on
social
media
sites.
This
is
according
to
a
recent
study
carried
out
by
researchers
at
the
Center
for
Emotional
Health
at
Macquarie
University,
Australia.
The
study
found
that
young
women
are
much
more
likely
to
be
affected
by
images
of
their
friends
on
social
media
than
those
of
celebrities
(名人)in
traditional
media.
A
hundred
and
fifty
female
undergraduate
students
were
questioned
in
five
daily
surveys
over
a
five-day
period.
The
students
were
asked
questions
such
as
whether
they
had
compared
their
appearance
with
someone
were
asked
questions
such
as
whether
they
had
compared
their
appearance
with
someone
else’s,
and
whether
they
made
that
comparison
after
looking
at
social
media,
traditional
media
or
in
person.
Results
showed
that
young
women
are
more
likely
to
compare
their
appearance
with
that
of
their
peers’
(同龄人的)
images
on
social
media
than
those
of
models’
or
movie
stars’
in
traditional
media.
Most
students
thought
others
looked
better
than
them
on
social
media.
This
led
some
to
diet
and
exercise,
although
the
majority
of
those
who
did
were
not
overweight
and
didn’t
need
to
do
so.
The
negative
effect
images
of
skinny
models
in
mass
media
has
on
young
women
is
a
well-known
source
of
concern
throughout
the
world,
but
social
media
appear
t
make
things
worse.
Jasmine
Fardouly,
lead
researcher
in
the
study,
explained
why
social
media
might
be
more
damaging
than
traditional
media.
“Celebrities
may
seem
more
distant
and
their
appearance
may
have
less
influence
than
people
you
work
with
or
see
regularly,”
she
told
The
Guardian.
In
Fardouly’s
opinion,
people
could
unfollow
or
avoid
those
who
post
highly
improved
images
of
themselves.
This
may
reduce
how
often
people
think
others
look
more
attractive
than
them
on
social
media.
But
more
critical
(批判的)
thinking
may
also
do
the
trick.
“When
surfing
social
media,
it
may
be
helpful
for
people
to
stop
and
think
about
the
motivation
behind
each
post
and
question
how
realistic
each
image
is,”
Fardouly
wrote
on
news
site
The
Conversation.
8.
“Your
best
friends
may
just
be
your
worst
enemies”,
because_____.
A.
your
friends
might
hurt
you
badly
when
you
become
their
enemy
B.
you
feel
unhappy
because
your
friends
look
more
attractive
than
you
in
person
C.
your
friends
beat
you
in
appearance
when
you
compare
their
images
on
social
media
D.
you
disappoint
your
friends
because
you
don’t
look
better
on
social
media
than
on
traditional
media
9.
The
reasons
why
more
young
women
are
dieting
or
exercising
are
as
follows
EXCEPT
that
______.
A.
the
skinny
models
on
TV
have
some
influence
on
them
B
celebrities
in
traditional
media
have
a
far
greater
influence
on
them
C.
they
concern
more
about
their
images
online
with
the
widespread
use
of
social
media
D.
they
tend
to
compare
and
compete
after
they
see
their
friends’
images
on
social
media
10.
The
underlined
phrase
“do
the
trick”
in
the
last
paragraph
probably
means______.
A.
meet
the
desired
result
B.
make
people
feel
worse
C.
remind
people
of
something
D.
develop
people’s
interest

question,
adults
typically
wait
only
one
second
or
less
for
an
answer,
no
time
for
a
child
to
think.
___12___,
children
can
give
more
logical,
complete
and
creative
answers.
Watch
your
language.
Once
you
have
a
child
involved
in
a
science
discussion,
don
t
jump
in
with
“That's
right"
or
“Very
good”.
___13___.
But
in
talking
about
science,
quick
praise
can
signal
that
discussion
is
over.
Instead,
keep
things
going
by
saying
"That's
interesting
or
"I
have
never
thought
of
it
that
way
before”,or
coming
up
with
more
questions
or
ideas.
Never
force
a
child
to
think.
___14___,
as
children
are
always
thinking,
without
your
telling
them
to.
What's
more,
giving
them
freedom
to
think
can
turn
a
conversation
into
a
performance.
The
child
will
try
to
find
the
answer
you
want,
in
as
few
words
as
possible,
so
that
he
will
be
a
smaller
target
for
your
disagreement.
___15___
Real-life
impressions
of
nature
are
far
more
impressive
than
any
lesson
children
can
learn
from
a
book
or
a
television
program.
Let
children
look
at
their
fingertips
through
a
magnifying
glass
(放大镜),
and
they'll
understand
why
you
want
them
to
wash
before
dinner.
Rather
than
saying
that
water
evaporates
(蒸发),
set
a
pot
of
water
to
boil
and
let
them
watch
the
water
level
drop.
A.
It
doesn't
make
sense
B.
Listen
to
their
questions
C.
Teach
them
by
examples
D.
You
only
have
to
share
your
children's
curiosity
E.
It
began
with
a
set
of
questions
that
lasted
nearly
two
hours
F.
When
adults
increase
their
"wait
time”
to
three
seconds
or
more
G.
These
words
work
well
when
it
comes
to
encouraging
good
behavior

I

I
didn’t

moment
and
praying
someday
we
are
going
to

and
this
is
it.”
When
saying
these
words,
I
cried
but
felt
happy.
Perhaps
it

a

thing,
but

第二部分
阅读理解
(满分35分)
第一节
阅读理解(共10小题;每小题2.5分,满分25分)
A
I
am
here
with
students
at
Wakefield
High
School
in
Virginia.
And
we’ve
got
students
listening
from
all
across
America
from
kindergarten
to
12th
grade.
I
know
that
for
many
of
you,
today
is
the
first
day
of
school.
And
for
those
of
you
in
kindergarten,
or
starting
middle
or
high
school,
it’s
your
first
day
in
a
new
school,
so
it’s
understandable
if
you’re
a
little
nervous.
I
imagine
there
are
some
seniors
out
there
who
are
feeling
pretty
good
right
now

with
just
one
more
year
to
go.
And
no
matter
what
grade
you’re
in,
some
of
you
are
probably
wishing
it
were
still
summer
and
you
could
stay
in
bed.
I
know
that
feeling.
When
I
was
young,
my
mother
didn’t
have
the
money
to
send
me
where
most
American
kids
went
to
study,
but
she
thought
it
was
important
for
me
to
keep
up
with
an
American
education.
So
she
decided
to
teach
me
extra
lessons
herself.
But
because
she
had
to
go
to
work,
the
only
time
she
could
do
it
was
at
4:30
in
the
morning.
Now,
as
you
might
imagine,
I
wasn’t
too
happy
about
getting
up
that
early.
But
whenever
I
complained,
my
mother
would
just
give
me
one
of
those
looks
and
she’d
say,
“This
is
no
picnic
for
me
either.”
So
I
know
that
some
of
you
are
still
adjusting
to
being
back
at
school.
But
I’m
here
because
I
want
to
talk
with
you
about
your
education
and
what’s
expected
of
all
of
you
in
this
new
school
year.
Now,
I’ve
given
a
lot
of
speeches
about
education.
And
I’ve
talked
about
responsibility
a
lot.
I’ve
talked
about
teachers’
responsibility
for
encouraging
students
and
pushing
you
to
learn.
I’ve
talked
about
your
parents’
responsibility
for
making
sure
you
stay
on
track,
and
you
get
your
homework
done.
I’ve
talked
a
lot
about
your
government’s
responsibility
for
setting
high
standards,
and
supporting
teachers
and
principals,
and
turning
around
schools
that
aren’t
working,
where
students
aren’t
getting
the
opportunities
that
they
deserve.
But
at
the
end
of
the
day,
we
can
have
the
most
dedicated
teachers,
the
most
supportive
parents,
the
best
schools
in
the
world

and
none
of
it
will
make
a
difference,
none
of
it
will
matter
unless
all
of
you
fulfill
(履行)
your
responsibilities,
unless
you
show
up
to
those
schools,
unless
you
pay
attention
to
those
teachers,
unless
you
listen
to
your
parents
and
put
in
the
hard
work
it
takes
to
succeed.
That’s
what
I
want
to
focus
on
today:
the
responsibility
each
of
you
has
for
your
education.
I
want
to
start
with
the
responsibility
you
have
to
yourself.
Every
single
one
of
you
has
something
that
you’re
good
at.
Every
single
one
of
you
has
something
to
offer.
And
you
have
a
responsibility
to
yourself
to
discover
what
that
is.
That’s
the
opportunity
an
education
can
provide.
Maybe
you
could
be
a
great
writer
but
you
might
not
know
it
until
you
write
that
English
paper.
Maybe
you
could
be
an
inventor
but
you
might
not
know
it
until
you
do
your
project
for
your
science
class.
And
no
matter
what
you
want
to
do
with
your
life,
I
guarantee
that
you’ll
need
an
education
to
do
it.
And
this
isn’t
just
important
for
your
own
life
and
your
own
future.
What
you
make
of
your
education
will
decide
nothing
less
than
the
future
of
this
country.
The
future
of
America
depends
on
you.
What
you’re
learning
in
school
today
will
determine
whether
we
as
a
nation
can
meet
our
greatest
challenges
in
the
future.
That’s
why
today
I’m
calling
on
each
of
you
to
set
your
own
goals
for
your
education
and
do
everything
you
can
to
meet
them.

B
After
almost
a
year
of
saving
from
shopping
and
vacationing,
you
find
the
numbers
reflected
by
your
bank
account
meet
your
heat’s
desire.
Now
the
most
important
question
comes
what
to
do
with
the
earnings?
Should
you
fulfill
dreams
of
the
present,
or
keep
saving
it
for
a
rainy
day?
Our
elders
always
try
to
teach
us
the
value
of
money
and
its
uncertainty.
One
may
be
on
a
winning
situation
now,
but
it
will
not
always
be
so.
One
will
have
days
when
there
will
be
no
sunshine
but
only
rain,
and
their
luck
will
hide
behind
those
thick
grey
clouds.
Save
for
those
rainy
days,
they
say.
Do
not
spend
too
much,
live
within
a
budget,
stay
away
from
credit
no
matter
how
small
and
save
for
the
future.
Since
the
very
first
time
we
earn
our
own
money
from
a
summer
job
or
earn
our
first
salary,
the
lessons
start.
In
fact,
the
pocket
money
that
we
receive
when
we
are
children
starts
the
process
of
learning
how
to
best
manage
one’s
manage
one’s
money.
Future,
future,
future,
that’s
all
they
talk
about,
but
what
about
the
present?
What
about
our
current
desires,
wants
and
needs?
Wasn’t
our
present
once
our
future?
One
day
when
I
have
enough
money,
I
will
buy
myself
a
car.
One
day
my
luck
will
shine.
One
day
I
will
have
enough
money
to
travel
the
world.
Then,
once
we
do
earn
enough
money
from
saving,
tomorrow’s
plans
start
shadowing
our
present
ones.
However,
is
it
wise
to
keep
living
for
that
future?
Will
we
still
enjoy
or
even
be
able
to
backpack
in
our
50s?
What
will
be
the
use
of
those
professional
cameras
when
pains
take
over
our
joints
and
our
mind
grows
dull?
Will
our
liver
be
able
too
handle
the
meat
and
alcohol
in
our
advanced
age?
What
if
our
life
ends
suddenly?
How
will
we
ever
enjoy
our
present
if
we
are
constantly
living
for
the
future?
I
say
enjoy
the
most
comfort
but
also
keep
enough
for
your
necessities,
and
stay
happy
with
your
present
but
with
a
plan
for
the
foreseeable
future.
Beyond
that,
life
is
not
in
our
control
and
we
shouldn’t
worry
about
the
unseen.
Life
is
for
the
living,
so
live
it
wisely.

【解析】
本文是一篇议论文。文章主要讨论了钱是要存起来还是花出去。作者建议我们应该活在当下,并且为将来做好准备,而不是一味地攒钱或者是挥霍无度。
【5题详解】
词义猜测题。根据文章第一段“Should
you
fulfill
dreams
of
the
present,
or
keep
saving
it
for
a
rainy
day?(你应该实现现在的梦想,还是把它存起来a
rainy
day?)”可知,存钱的目的是以备不时之需,所以a
rainy
day指“以备不时之需”之意。与D选择项“he
always
puts
aside
his
pocket
money
for
a
rainy
day(他总是把零用钱存起来以备不时之需)”词义相同。故选D。
【6题详解】
推理判断题。根据文章第五段“However,
is
it
wise
to
keep
living
for
that
future?(
然而,为未来而活是明智的吗?)”和“How
will
we
ever
enjoy
our
present
if
we
are
constantly
living
for
the
future?(如果我们总是为未来而生活,我们怎么享受现在呢?)”可以推断,第五段的作者的问题表明作者认为享受现在是非常重要的。故选C。
【7题详解】
细节理解题。根据文章最后一段“I

for
your
necessities,
and
stay

but
with
a

for
the
foreseeable

(我的意思是,享受最舒适的生活,但也要为你的生活必需品保留足够的东西,快乐地生活在现在,但要为可预见的未来做好计划。)”可知,作者认为,现在我们要快乐地生活,为将来做好准备。故选C。

Jasmine
Fardouly,
lead
researcher
in
the
study,
explained
why
social

might
be
more
damaging
than

“Celebrities

their

may
have
less

she
told
The

In
Fardouly’s
opinion,
people
could
unfollow

those
who
post
highly
improved
images
of
themselves.
This
may
reduce
how
often
people

others

on

But

“When
