一、指导思想
高中英语课程标准明确指出阅读教学的目的是：培养阅读策略；培养语感；培养学生的语言应用能力。在教学过程中，教师要注意逐步培养学生的各项阅读微技能；如：fast
reading
；careful
reading；理解大意；了解重点细节；理解文章结构。
教学中以学生体验为主，培养学生爱思考，学以致用的好习惯；英语学习不仅是对语言的学习，更是对文化的学习。在英语教学中，增强学生的跨文化交际意识。
二、教材分析
这是外研社英语第五册第四模块的The
Magic
of
the
Mask,本节设计为阅读和写作课，介绍了有关狂欢节的情况，围绕课文设计了相关练习，通过这些练习学习理解狂欢节的描述、起源和发展，并学会描述中国的传统节日春节。让学生学会尊重外国文化同时更要珍惜和传承中国文化。
学情分析
教学对象是高二普通班学生，英语基础知识和基本技能都是一般水平，学生在英语学习上有困难，有时兴趣不浓。因此，在教学中，遵循有浅入深，循序渐进的原则，让学生通过快读，精读等方式完成难度不同的阅读任务，包括文章分成几部分及大意，细节理解等，积极引导同学们带着兴趣和自信参与到课堂教学中来，逐步将学生引入到写作教学设计中，让他们从中体会到成功的乐趣，提高学生的阅读能力和写作能力。
四、教学目标及重、难点
（一）教学目标
1.知识目标：让学生了解狂欢节的起源，含义，发展和精神。
2.能力目标：让学生学会向不同文化的人介绍节日。
3.情感目标：让学生尊重外国文化并珍惜中国文化。
重难点：让学生掌握如何写关于节日的话题
五、教学方法
运用任务型教学法，提高学生阅读能力；让学生在实践中提高写作能力。
