Today’s
post
is
about
signs
in
English.
You
will
see
signs
on
the
road
while
driving
or
when
walking
down
a
street.
Now
let’s
take
a
closer
look
at
the
signs
in
the
picture
below,
so
you
can
fully
understand
what
they
mean
in
case
you
come
across
one
of
them.
Starting
with
the
top
row,
we
have:
Yield
sign-
This
sign
indicates(标示)
that
you
need
to
slow
down,
but
you
may
not
have
to
come
to
a
full
stop.
Crosswalk-
This
is
a
sign
which
indicates
that
people
have
the
right
to
cross
the
street,
so
cars
have
to
stop
when
they
see
a
person
waiting
next
to
the
sign.
Second
row:
Do
not
enter-
This
sign
indicates
you
are
not
allowed
to
enter
a
road
at
that
point.
Buckle
up!
-There
are
often
signs
on
roads
in
the
United
States
reminding
people
that
wearing
seat
belts
is
mandatory(强制的)
(seat
belt
laws
differ
depending
on
what
state
you
are
in,
but
all
US
states
have
seat
belt
laws)
Third
row:
Be
alert(警惕)
for
bears-
This
is
another
sign
that
is
sued
to
indicate
that
you
should
be
alert
for
wildlife
in
the
area.
Playground
-
This
is
the
sign
use
to
alert
drivers
that
there
is
a
playground
nearby,
so
it
is
a
good
idea
to
slow
down
and
watch
for
children.
21.
Where
can
you
often
see
the
signs?
A.
On
the
road
B.
On
a
farm
C.
In
a
factory
D.
In
the
class
22.
What
would
you
do
when
you
see
a
“yield
sign”?
A.
Enter
a
road
at
that
point
B.
Slow
down
C.
Come
to
a
full
stop
D.
Be
alert
for
wildlife
in
the
area
23
What
can
be
learned
from
the
passage?
A.
All
US
states
have
the
same
law
about
seat
belts
B.
Pedestrians
should
walk
slowly
at
a
crosswalk
C.
All
the
people
in
a
car
should
buckle
up
in
the
US
D.
Drivers
should
stop
the
car
at
the
sign
of
playground.
B
To
most
of
us,
school
means
classes,
teachers,
schedules,
grades
and
tests.
But
for
the
children
at
Sudbury
Valley
School,
Massachusetts,
school
is
very
different.
Firstly,
there
are
no
lessons.
All
the
children,
aged
between
4
and
19,
do
whatever
they
want
to.
There
are
no
teachers
—only
“staff
members”.
The
idea
behind
this
is
that
you
do
not
need
to
make
children
learn,
because
children
want
to
learn
anyway.
“You
do
not
need
to
say
to
a
three-year-old,
'Go
to
explore
your
environment.

You
can’t
stop
them!”
says
Daniel
Greenberg,
a
founder
of
the
school.
“But
if
you
make
children
do
what
you
want
all
day,
they
will
lose
all
taste
for
learning."
At
Sudbury
Valley
School,
you
will
permit
children
to
talk,
read,
paint,
cook,
work
on
computers,
study
French,
play
the
piano,
climb
trees,
or
just
run
around.
Two
boys
spent
three
years
just
fishing!
The
other
way
that
Sudbury
Valley
School
is
different
is
that
the
children
can
decide
the
rules.
Every
week,
there
is
a
school
meeting
where
both
children
and
staff(员工)
have
one
vote
each—even
the
four-year-olds.
They
decide
the
school
rules,
how
to
spend
the
school
budget(预算),
and
even
which
staff
they
want
and
do
not
want
any
more.
When
the
school
first
opened
in
1968,
people
said
it
would
never
work.
But
today,
the
school
has
200
students,
and
80%
of
its
students
go
on
to
college.
Even
the
two
boys
who
went
fishing
all
the
time
have
successful
careers
today.
One
of
them
is
a
musician
and
the
other
is
a
computer
scientist.
24.What
is
the
main
topic
of
the
article?
A.
Children's
hobbies.
B.
An
unusual
school.
C.A
school
without
rules.
D.Education
in
the
US.
25.What
does
the
school
believe?
A.
Children
learn
best
when
they
do
what
they
want
to
do.
B.
Teachers
cannot
teach
children
well.
C.Learning
is
for
adults—children
should
only
play.
D.Children
should
only
learn
about
one
thing
at
a
time.
26.What
does
Daniel
Greenberg
say
about
three-year-olds?
A.
They
are
too
young
to
learn
anything.
B.They
are
very
naughty.
C.They
want
to
be
outside
all
the
time.
D.
They
love
learning.
27.Who
has
the
most
power
in
the
school
meetings?
A.The
older
children
have
more
power
than
the
younger
children.
B.A
child
has
more
power
than
an
adult.
C.
Everybody
has
equal
power.
D.
The
younger
children
have
more
power
than
the
older
children.
C
Once
there
was
an
old
man,
who
was
completely
broke
(破产的),living
in
a
tiny
house.
He
had
to
live
on
a
$
105-a-month
social
security
(保障)check.
At
65
years
of
age,
he
decided
things
should
change.
So
he
thought
about
what
he
could
offer.
His
friends
thought
highly
of
his
chicken
recipe
(烹饪法).He
decided
that
this
was
his
best
shot(尝试)
at
making
a
change.
He
left
Kentucky
and
travelled
to
different
states
to
try
to
sell
his
recipe.
He
told
restaurant
owners
that
he
had
a
mouth-watering
chicken
recipe.
He
offered
the
recipe
to
them
for
free,
just
asking
for
a
small
percentage
(比例)on
the
items
sold.
Sounds
like
a
good
deal,
right?
Unfortunately,
he
had
to
go
to
most
of
the
restaurants.
He
heard
“No.

over
1,000
times,but
he
didn’t
give
up.
He
believed
his
chicken
recipe
was
something
special.
He
got
rejected
(拒绝)1
,009
times
before
he
heard
his
first
“yes”.
With
that
one
success,
the
old
man
changed
the
way
Americans
eat
chicken.
Kentucky
Fried
Chicken,
popularly
known
as
KFC,
was
born.
The
old
man
was
Colonel
Harland
Sanders,
who
was
an
American
businessman,
best
known
for
founding
fast
food
chicken
restaurant
chain—Kentucky
Fried
Chicken.
His
name
and
image
(肖像)are
still
symbols
of
KFC
now.
28.
What
can
we
infer
when
the
old
man
was
broke?
A.
He
had
a
lot
of
fast
food
chicken
restaurants.
B.
He
gave
away
105
dollars
to
others
every
month.
C.
His
image
became
a
symbol
of
KFC.
D.
He
had
no
money
and
lived
a
poor
life.
29.
In
order
to
change
his
life,

did
the
old
man
decide
to
do?

check.

fried
chicken
in
the
street.

Want
to
feel
healthier
and
have
lots
of
energy
each
day?31
You
don’t
have
to
make
big
changes
in
your
lifestyle
in
order
to
improve
your
health.
You
can
do
it
without
actually
noticing
it.
Read

out
smart
little
things
you
should
do
to
feel
better
every
day.
Exercise
Probably
the
healthiest
thing
you
can
do
to
feel
better
each
day
is
to
exercise
early
in
the
morning.32
_____
Even
doing
several
easy
exercises
like
walking,
sit-ups
or
jumping
the
rope
will
help
you
feel
better
in
no
time!
Plus,
exercise
is
good
for
your
health
and
waistline.
Get
enough
sleep
Again,
due
to
our
busy
schedules,
we
don’t
get
enough
sleep
each
night.
If
you
have
trouble
falling
asleep,
avoid
watching
TV
or
surfing
the
Internet
right
before
bed.33__________
Stay
productive
When
you
are
productive,
you
feel
happier.
When
you
feel
happier,
you
feel
better.
Stop
watching
TV,
avoid
gossips,
and
try
to
do
more
useful
things
during
the
day.34
It
will
help
you
accomplish
your
tasks
with
less
stress.
Stay
positive
I’ve
always
believed
that
positivity
is
the
key
to
a
longer
life.35
Life
is
full
of
stressful
situations
and
it’s
hard
to
stay
cheerful
when
everything
goes
wrong,
but
your
positive
attitude
can
help
you
solve
any
problem
and
fight
any
stress
faster
and
more
easily.
Your
positive
attitude
is
especially
good
for
your
heart
health.
Smile,
stay
positive
and
live
a
longer
life!
A.
Don’t
forget
to
make
your
to-do
list
in
the
morning.
B.
Also,
don’t
drink
tea
or
coffee
too
late
in
the
day.
C.
Few
people
can
hold
a
positive
attitude
to
their
life.
D.
Positive
thoughts
can
help
improve
your
overall
health.
E.
You
don’t
have
to
run
a
few
hours
or
the
whole
morning.
F.
It
is
a
good
idea
to
turn
to
others
for
valuable
advice.
G.
There
are
a
few
essential
things
you
should
do
to
achieve
this
goal.
