本模块是外研版七年级上册Module8, 它以“生日”为话题展开听、说、读、写语言知识和技能训练。
本模块的语法重点是频度副词,这些副词的使用与本模块的主题紧密相关。教师应注意设置语境,设计交际活动,培养学生的理解能力和表达能力。
本模块第一单元的话题是邀请朋友参加自己的生日聚会,教学重点是表达邀请。教师应该设置语境,让学生练习如何正确地发出邀请。

教学思路 本单元为听说课,要求学生完成“向同学介绍家人的生日情况”这一任务,创设真实的语境来引导学生输出所学的语言,达到真实使用语言进行交际的目的,激发学生学习英语的浓厚兴趣和学习的主动性。
教 学 过 程 与 方 法 设计意图
Step1. Warming up(Activities 1 and 4) Show the students a picture and ask them : What can you see in the picture?
Then show them a video and get them to watch and sing.
Third, get them to discuss in group of four: What do we do on birthday parties? And make a list of the things.
Fourth, show them the pictures and words to check them.
Finally, show them the picture in Activity1 and get them to talk about it. Then get them to complete Activity4. Call one student to read out his answer. After that, get them to read the short passage in “Around the world”
Step2. Listening (Activity2)
Call at least 3 students to read the four words first,then play the tape at least twice and get them to listen and number the words as they hear them.
Finally, call back one student’s answers to check together. The other students must show their green or red card to express their opinions.
Step3. (Activities3and 5) listen and read
First, listen to the tape once and get them to choose the correct answer according to the conversation.
Second,show them the sentences in Activity3, get two students to read them as models. Then get them to watch the cartoon, listen and then check the true sentences.
After that ,call back their answers and correct the wrong ones. The others also need to show their red of green cards to express their opinions.
Third, play the tape again and get them to follow the tape in three groups. ( Daming, Betty and Tony) While they are reading, pay attention the pronouciation and the stress.
Fourth, give them three minutes to read the conversation in groups of three, then get at least two groups to read out in the front, and say which group is better.
Fifth,show them some sentences with always, never, sometimes, usually and often, then get them to discuss what they mean and how to use them in groups of four.
Finally, do some erxercises to practise.
Step4. Pronunciation (Activitiy 6)
First, get the students to listen to the tape and repeat twice. Then get them to try to read and listen in pairs, help their partners to pronounce correctly.
Step 5 Make a survey ()(Activity7)
网] Make a survey. Work in groups. Talk about what your classmates do on their birthdays and on Teachers’ Day.
Step5. Summary and exercises
Get them to summarise what they have learnt in this class, then show them some exercises to pracise.
Step6. Homework
Finish Exersises I and II .
Try to make their own dialogues in groups of three to introduce their family members.
1.用图片导入给学生直观的感受,用视频展现既调动了学生的学习积极性、听唱结合,也为下面的问题做了铺垫。
2.讨论问题倡导学生合作学习,同时也检查了预习单词的任务。
3.学生在有了大量的词汇和背景知识输入的情况下,这时再来谈论活动1中的图片,对于七年级的学生来说难度就大大降低了。
4.将活动4提前到这里,一是检查词汇,二是学生在谈论了图片之后有一个小的范文最为参考,之后阅读“Around the world” 来了解过国外的生日文化,比较中西方生日文化的不同,并借此培养和提高学生的跨文化交际意识。 。
听力一直是学生的弱点,因此在听前一定要让学生多读几遍题目,了解题意,有针对性地去听取材料,获得信息。绿色和红色卡片是展示自己同不同意回答问题人的观点,争取面向全体学生。
1. 选择题的设置让学生更好地练习了听力,理解了对话,也检查了学生的预习,所以听一遍即可。
2. 这道题说是作为听力题,却也结合了看的介入,因此在难度降低的情况下可以要求学生改正错误的,让学生更透彻地理解对话内容。
3.听读训练,学生的语音语调一直是个难关,因此应重点强调学生模仿语音语调。
4.该项活动的设置主要是提高学生对语音语调的重视程度,并激励学生课下自主学习。
5.学生根据学案上的内容合作探究斜体单词所要表达的含义及其用法,之后及时反馈。
学生的语音语调是个弱项,平时的语言环境较少,因此课上需认真练习,教师及时纠正。
以调查的形式自由谈论生日和教师节的活动内容,老师适时点拨,培养学生的语感。
总结当堂课所学内容,及时反馈。
