Step1 导入新课
T (Play a flash about birthday) T: Can you say something about Birthday? Ss: Card, cake, flower, candle, candy, present. T: Whose birthday is it today? Is there someone? Ss: It’s Lily’s birthday. Then everybody sing the song HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LiLy.
Step2 Listening comprehension
1. Look at the picture on page 48 and name the things on it.
2. Listen and number the words as you hear them. (Activity 2)
Step 3 Conversation
1. Listen and choose the right answers.

Step5 知识点拨
1. Would you like to come to my birthday party?.
Would you like to do sth.? “你愿意做某事吗？”常用于有礼貌地向别人提出邀请或建议。如果要接受邀请，常说“That’s a good idea.”或“Yes, I’d love/like to.”如果拒绝邀请，常说 “I would love/ like to, but… ”或“Sorry, I have to…”
提建议的方式还有：(1)let’s +V原 “让我们……”; let sb. do sth“让某人干…”
(2)What about…? 还可以说成How about…?意为“…….怎么样？”是承接上文来说的，about 为介词，后面加名词、代词或动名词。例：I like music. What about you? 我喜欢音乐，你呢？
2. She usually buys a special one and I cut it at the party.
special(形容词)“特别的，特殊的”。它的副词形式是specially,表示“特别地，特意”。
3. And we sometimes give birthday cards.
give sb. sth. =give sth. to sb. “给某人某物”
句中sometimes为频度副词，本文中出现的频度副词还有always（总是），usually （通常），never（从不）。根据频率的高低，这几个词的排列为always＞ usually＞often＞sometimes＞never。
