Step1 导入新课
Present the picture about birthday party in Unit 1 and start a free talk about how to give presents.
Step2 Reading
Match the phrases with the pictures in Activity 1.
2. Read the passage in Activity 2 quickly and choose.

Step3 知识点拨
1．They sometimes wear T-shirts.
wear “穿着，戴着”，强调状态。其后可接衣服，鞋帽，还可以接收拾，头花，项链等。dress“给……穿衣”，其后只能接表示人的名词或代词做宾语，不能接衣物。
a box of 一盒…….，后面既可加可数名词复数，也可加不可数名词。
2．She spends a lot of money. 她花很多钱。
spend “花费,花（钱）”，主语是人。
常用的搭配是Sb. spend money on sth. 或 sb.spend money (in) doing sth.
例：We spend very little on food. 我们在吃上花钱不多。
My father spent lots of money in building the house. 我父亲花了很多钱建房子。
3．Betty’s cousin likes reading and she reads lots of books and magazines.
like “想，希望；喜欢”。其后既可以接不定式做宾语，也可以接动名词做宾语。但是like to do 表示某人的某一次行为，like doing则表示某人在一段较长时间内形成的一种习惯。
lots of “许多”，既可以修饰不可数名词，也可以修饰可数名词相当于a lot of.
