Being
a
teenager
can
be
hard,
for
you
have
to
face
a
lot
of
difficult
problems,
but
a
new
program
called
Nfusion
is
working
hard
to
help
teens
with
mental(精神的)
health
needs.
Nfusion
gives
teenagers
classes
where
they
study
or
discuss
some
troubling
subjects.
Drugs
and
bullying(欺凌)
are
just
a
few
of
the
topics
discussed
during
the
class
on
Saturday.
“I
had
a
bad
attitude,”
said
17-year-old
Titeana
Davis.
Davis
went
through
the
Nfusion
Program
last
year.
The
teen,
who
once
had
trouble
with
her
attitude
towards
others,
says
the
program
has
changed
her
life.
“They
taught
me
a
bad
attitude
is
not
going
to
get
you
anywhere,”
said
Davis.
Nfusion
is
a
new
program

meets
teens
mental
health
needs

provides

The
program

still
growing,
still
developing
and
still
there
are
a
lot
of
things
they
don’t
know
how
to
address.
So
this
is
a
good
program
for
them
to
be
a
part
of,”
said
Lakicha
Jemigan,
who
worked
for
the
Nfusion
Program.
Teens
like
Davis
are
just
a
few
who
have
come
through
the
program
successfully.
Now
thanks
to
Nfusion,
Davis
says
she’s
looking
forward
to
a
bright
future.
“After
I
graduate
from
college,
I
want
to
work
at
a
primary

I
want
to
be
a

grade
teacher,”

For
the
first
time
since
my
open-heart
operation,
I
have
the
energy
to
take
my
harp
(竖琴)
to
the
hospital
rooms
and
play
for
anyone
who
likes
it.
I
checked
in
with
two
nurses
and
they
gave
me
a
list
of
rooms.
The
first
man
I
played
for
was
a
patient
who
found
it
difficult
to
sleep.
He
smiled
and
with
his
eyes
closed,
he
reached
out
to
my
harp.
He
was
not
interested
in
my
voice,
but
he
appreciated
the
harp.
In
the
next
room
was
a
woman
patient.
I
played
some
soft
music
for
her
and
then
she
slept
soundly.
Then
I
found
a
lovely
elderly
woman
who
was
awake.
There
were
flowers
everywhere
and
photos
of
her
and
her
husband
at
her
bedside.
She
held
my
hand
and
talked
for
some
time
and
was
pleased
to
receive
harp
music.
Playing
for
her
was
a
special
pleasure.
She
asked
me
how
long
I
had
been
playing
the
harp,
how
much
the
harp
weighed,
how
I
learned
it
and
why
I
wanted
to
learn
it
and
so
on.
We
talked
about
books
for
a
bit
as
well.
I
played
until
her
grandson
came
in
and
he
came
back
from
overseas
to
see
her.
This
woman
was
deeply
loved—you
could
see
that.
She
was
beautiful
and
kind.
I
learn
so
much
from
these
beautiful
people
who
are
brave
to
face
their
illnesses.
It
is
always
such
a
great
honor
to
play
for
them.
24.What
do
we
know
about
the
first
man
mentioned
in
the
text?

disliked
the
harp.
B.He
was
not
interested
in
music.
C.He
had
some
difficulty
in
sleeping.
D.He
played
some
soft
music
for

feel
when
playing
for
the
elderly
woman?
A.Sad.

26.What
did
the
author
say
about
the
elderly
woman?
A.She
had
no
relatives.

was
loved
by
her
family.
C.She
would
recover
soon.
D.She
had
many
hobbies.

the

the

for
according

C
In
the
summer
of
2016,
I
gave
a
talk
at
a
small
conference
in
northern
Virginia.
I
began
by
admitting
that
I’d
never
had
a
social-media
account;
I
then
outlined
arguments
for
why
other
people
should
consider
removing
social
media
from
their
lives.
The
event
organizers
uploaded
the
video
of
my
talk
to
YouTube.
Then
it
was
shared
repeatedly
on
Facebook
and
Instagram
and,
eventually,
viewed
more
than
five
million
times.
I
was
both
pleased
and
annoyed
by
the
fact
that
my
anti-social-media
talk
had
found
such
a
large
audience
on
social
media.
I
think
of
this
event
as
typical
of
the
conflicted
relationships
many
of
us
have
with
Facebook,
Instagram,
and
other
social-media
platforms.
On
the
one
hand,
we’ve
grown
wary
of
the
so-called
attention
economy,
which,
in
the
name
of
corporate
profits,
destroys
social
life
gradually
and
offends
privacy.
But
we
also
benefit
from
social
media
and
hesitate
to
break
away
from
it
completely.
Not
long
ago,
I
met
a
partner
at
a
large
law
firm
in
Washington,
D.C.,
who
told
me
that
she
keeps
Instagram
on
her
phone
because
she
misses
her
kids
when
she
travels;
looking
through
pictures
of
them
makes
her
feel
better.
In
recent
months,
some
of
the
biggest
social-media
companies,
Facebook
and
Twitter,
in
particular,
have
promised
various
reforms.
In
March,
Mark
Zuckerberg
announced
a
plan
to
move
his
platform
toward
private
communication
protected
by
end-to-end
encryption
(端对端加密);
later
that
month,
he
put
forward
the
establishment
of
a
third-party
group
to
set
standards
for
acceptable
content.
All
of
these
approaches
assume
that
the
reformation
of
social
media
will
be
a
complex,
lengthy,
and
gradual
process.
But
not
everyone
sees
it
that
way.
Alongside
these
official
responses,
a
loose
collective
of
developers
that
calls
itself
the
IndieWeb
has
been
creating
another
alternative.
They
are
developing
their
own
social-media
platforms,
which
they
say
will
preserve
what’s
good
about
social
media
while
getting
rid
of
what’s
bad.
They
hope
to
rebuild
social
media
according
to
principles
that
are
less
corporate
and
more
humane.
28.Why
did
the
author
feel
annoyed
when
his
video
was
spread
online?
A.His
video
caused
many
arguments.
B.His
video
was
shared
without
his
permission.
C.His
talk
was
opposed
by
a
large
amount
of
people.
D.His
video’s
popularity
on
social
media
is
against
his
talk.
29.Why
does
the
author
mention
the
story
of
his
partner?
A.To
prove
that
social
media
has
some
benefits.
B.To
advise
people
to
break
away
from
social
media.
C.To
tell
the
negative
effects
social
media
may
produce.
D.To
describe
people’s
conflicted
relationships
with
social
media.
30.What
is
the
purpose
of
the
reform
made
by
some
social-media
companies?
A.To
attract
more
users.
B.To
make
more
profits.
C.To
improve
network
environment.
D.To
provide
more
convenient
service.
31.What
does
the
IndieWeb
intend
to
do?
A.Develop
new
social-media
platforms.
B.Set
up
principles
of
the
use
of
social
media.
C.Improve
the
existing
social-media
platforms.
D.Help
social-media
companies
to
make
reformation.

An
8-year-old
Nigerian,
Tani
Adewumis,
whose
family
is
homeless,
won
first
place
at
the
New
York
State
chess
championship
without
a
single
defeat
at
the
beginning
of
2019
and
he
says
he
is
not
done
yet.
“I
want
to
be
the
youngest
grandmaster,”
Tani
told
The
New
York
Times.
Tani
placed
first
in
the
tournament
for
kindergarten
through
third
grade

an
outstanding
win
for
anyone.
“It’s
unheard
of
for
any
kid,
let
alone
one
in
a
homeless
shelter,”
said
Russell
Makofsky,
who
is
in
charge
of
the
chess
program.
Tani
hasn’t
had
an
easy
life.
His
family
left
northern
Nigeria
in
2017
fearing
attacks
on
Christians,
and
moved
to
New
York
City
over
a
year
ago
where
the
boy
learned
how
to
play
chess
at
school.
School
chess
coach
Shawn
Martinez
saw
Tani’s
potential
after
observing
him
stand
out
in
the
game
a
few
weeks
after
first
learning
it
early
last
year.
He
reached
out
to
Tani’s
family
about
joining
in
the
school’s
chess
program,
and
learned
they
were
unable
to
pay
costs
associated
with
membership.
Shawn
decided
to
abandon
Tani’s
fees,
which
can
easily
reach
thousands
with
travel
and
chess
camp
admissions.
Seven
victories
later,
the
elementary
school
boy
is
one
of
the
top
players
in
the
country
for
his
age
group.
“He
works
very
hard
at
his
game,”
Martinez
said,
believing
Tani
could
achieve
master
status
in
the
next
year
or
two.
The
world’s
youngest
grandmaster
qualified
at
the
age
of
12.
As
Tani’s
story
hits
national
headlines,
more
people
want
to
help.
Makofsky,
who
set
up
a
GoFundMe
for
Tani,
said
the
family
has
received
offers
for
a
car,
legal
services,
jobs
and
even
housing.
“My
hope
is
that
he’ll
be
in
a
home
tonight,”
Makofsky
said.
32.How
did
Makofsky
find
Tani’s
achievement?
A.Confusing.
B.Amusing.
C.Amazing.
D.Ridiculous.
33.Shawn
decided
to
abandon
Tani’s
fees
because
.
A.Makofsky
told
him
to
do
so
B.Tani's
family
were
unable
to
pay
costs
associated
with
their
daily
life.
C.Shawn
took
charge
of
the
chess
program
D.Tani
had
a
great
gift
for
chess.
34.What
can
we
learn
from
Tani’s
story?
A.All
things
are
difficult
before
they
are
easy.
B.A
good
beginning
makes
a
good
ending.
C.A
bird
in
the
hand
is
worth
two
in
the
bush.
D.God

Even
if
you
wake
up
every
day
with
a
perfect
smile
on
your
face,
it
can
easily
be
ruined
by
the
difficult
people
you
meet
at
your
workplace.
You
can’t
avoid
them
because
they
are
already
part
of
your
daily
life.
They
make
your
day
stressful
which
gives
you
a
terrible
feeling
to
leave
the
work
immediately.
36.
I
will
share
a
few
effective
strategies
which
will
help
you
to
deal
with
these
difficult
people.
Don’t
take
it
personally.
Difficult
people
see
others’
opinion
as
conflicting
(冲突)
to
their
belief.
Their
behaviour
is
already
a
habit
to
them
so
if
you
take
it
personally,
they
may
even
plan
to
make
your
life
more
terrible.
Remember
the
problem
is
not
only
with
you.37.
Listen
to
what
they
say.
Sometimes
what
difficult
people
want
is
someone’s
attention
and
love.
There
are
also
difficult
people
who
don’t
even
speak
but
will
just
throw
you
with
sullen
(
愠怒的)
looks
to
make
you
feel
uneasy.
38.
The
thought
of
you
standing
there
and
waiting
for
a
response
will
make
them
feel
uncomfortable
and
they
will
just
decide
to
speak
up.
If
they
do,
listen
carefully
and
analyze
it.
Don’t
get
discouraged.
I
have
already
told
you
that
it
would
be
really
difficult
for
you
to
change
their
behaviour
but
never
give
up.
It
should
be
you
affecting
them
and
not
them
affecting
you.39.
They
would
not
interfere
(干扰)
with
you
again.
If
they
realize
that,
you
can
already
enjoy
your
stay
in
the
office
or
in
the
school.
40.
Instead
of
dealing
with
their
pessimistic
attitude
every
day,
try
to
look
at
what
advantages
these
people
have.
That
way,
they
will
start
to
like
and
appreciate
you.
Also,
they
won’t
give
you
cold
stares
any
more.
A.See
what’s
good
in
these
people.
B.Choose
topics
that
you
both
like.
C.Difficult
people
are
sometimes
suffering
from
low
self-esteem
(自尊).
D.If
this
happens,
ask
them
and
wait
for
a
minute
until
he
or
she
speaks.
E.What’s
worse
is
that
they
can
even
make
your
enjoyable

am
sorry
to
hear
that

having
trouble
in
getting
along
with
your
classmates

your
new
school.
There’s
no

because
many

with
the
same
situation
when
in

The

easy
to
solve
if
you
take
my
advice.
To
begin
with,
try
your
best
to
communicate
with
your
classmates
more

and
participate
in
discussions
held
in
your
class,
which
is
an
effective
way
to
get

your
classmates.
Next,
being
a
good
listener
is
very
important,
as
it
make
the
speaker
feel
that
you
are
sincere.
What’s
more,
it’s
a
good
idea
to
help
others
when
necessary,
for
it
will
enable
you
to
develop
a
close
relationship
with
them.
Hope
my
advice
will
be
of
some
help
to
you.
Yours,
