教学活动
1. 热身/复习(Warm-up / Revision)
师生共同说唱Lesson 7中学习的歌谣:
What’s her name? What’s her name?
Her name is Zhou Pei. Her name is Zhou Pei.
She has big eyes. She has long hair.
She’s pretty. She’s clever.
2. 新课呈现(Presentation)
1) 教师向学生介绍三位新朋友,通过课件呈现Just practise中三个人物的图片(人物Carl, Cathy, Carla下方分别标注A, B, C),请学生听教师的介绍,根据所听对人物外貌的描述,学生猜出每个人物的姓名。
T: His name is Carl. He has short hair, small eyes, a small nose and a small mouth. Which is Carl?
S: A is Carl.(学生可根据介绍中的his name及主语he判断出其性别。)
T: What’s his name?
S: His name is Peter.
T: Carl is good at maths. What do you think of him?
S: He’s clever.(教师板书句型,请学生朗读。)
2) 教师请学生观察另外两个人物,猜出哪个是Carla. 课件中在三个人物下方依次出现短语long hair, big eyes, a big nose, a big mouth,学生边读短语边猜测,根据这些外貌特点学生能够判断出:C is Carla.随后教师指着Carla问:What’s her name?学生回答:Her name is Carla.教师引导学生根据所出示的短语介绍Carla. Her name is Carla. She has long hair, big eyes, a big nose and a big mouth.教师询问学生:Is Carla pretty?学生回答:Yes. She is pretty. (教师板书句型,请学生朗读。)
3) 根据最后一个人物Cathy的外貌特征,教师先请学生在小组内介绍,随后请出小组代表进行汇报:Her name is Cathy. She has black hair, small eyes, a small nose and a small mouth.
T: Cathy doesn’t like talking. She is quiet.(为了帮助学生理解quiet的中文含义,教师可以根据班上学生的性格特点介绍:_____ is quiet. 也可以请学生举例介绍。随后请学生朗读单词和句型。)
3. 练习(Practice)
1) Let’s find.
(1) 教师出示Let’s find中几个人物的图片,请学生观察他们的外貌特征,根据教师描述猜一猜是谁。
T: She has short hair. She has big eyes and a small nose. She’s very tall and thin. What’s her name? Guess!
(2) 教师请一名学生从:Bob, Linda, Carla, Tim和Cathy中选出一位进行描述,其他学生猜。
(3) 教师请学生在小组内活动,一名学生介绍班上的一名同学,其他学生根据描述的信息画出相应的人物,看谁画的最像猜的最准。
2) 播放chant录音,让学生听后模仿。请学生找出歌谣中含有t的单词:Tim, two, Tom, ten, Ted, twelve, Tony, twenty.教师请学生说出所学过的含有字母t的单词。
3) Just write.
教师在黑板上板书Just write部分的单词和句型,一边写一边读,写完后让学生齐读。然后,选几名学生到黑板上仿写,其他学生在自己的练习本上练习书写。最后,师生共同进行评价。
4. 语言运用(Language use)
场景设置:请学生将各自所画的同学画像贴到黑板和教室的墙上(正面画像下方写有人物性格特征,背后写上所画同学的名字),请学生两人一小组选择画像交流猜测。
语言支持:
S1: Look at this girl.
S2: She is tall and thin.
S1: She has long hair.
S2: Yes. She has big eyes and a small nose.
S1: She is clever.
S2: What’s her name?
S1: Her name is _____.
S2: Let’s take a look. We’re right.
