Not
long
ago,
“blind
box
economy”
suddenly
became
popular,
winning
the
heart
of
large
numbers
of
faithful
fans.
People
simply
get
interested
in
it.
A
couple
spent
200
thousand
yuan
on
them.
Another
sixty-year-old
guy
spent
over
700
thousand
yuan
in
buying
blind
boxes.
Statistics
showed
that
last
year
300
thousand
hobbyists
made
deals
through
a
second-hand
shopping
platform.
The
blind
boxes
usually
contain
peripheral
(周边的)
dolls
of
comics
and
animation,
or
film
and
television,
or
specially
designed
ones.
A
single
blind
box
usually
costs
about
thirty
to
fifty
yuan.
But
there
is
no
mark
on
the
box,
and
only
after
opening
it
can
the
buyer
see
what
he
has
bought.
This
is
rather
like
buying
lottery
tickets,
for
the
buyer
has
to
bet
on
his
luck.
However,
addiction
to
blind
box
is
much
like
that
to
gambling
(赌博).
It
is
highly
nontransparent
compared
with
lottery
ticket.
Nobody
knows
whether
sellers
of
blind
boxes
exaggerated
(夸大)
the
winning
rate
so
as
to
attract
people
to
buy
them,
thus
digging
a
consumption
trap.
Besides,
it
is
also
unknown
whether
the
objects
in
the
blind
boxes
are
genuine
or
not.
The
blind
box
economy
promoted
its
second-hand
trade.
The
price
of
some
classic
dolls
or
dolls
of
limited
edition
have
skyrocketed
in
second-hand
trade
platforms,
and
some
may
reach
thirty
to
forty
times.
But
it
is
difficult
for
buyers
to
judge
whether
it
is
the
result
of
real
supply
and
demand,
or
the
consequence
of
businessmen’s
tricks.
The
basis
of
the
“blind
box
economy”
is
the
cultural
trend
of
collection.
Many
of
the
target
consumers
are
young
people
who
have?scanty?experience
of
life.
They
are
thus
attracted
by
deliberately
exaggerated
probability
of
“winning
a
prize”
and
constantly
throw
money
to
buy
blind
boxes
in
order
to
gain
dolls
that
they
desire.
Or
they
may
buy
at
second-hand
trade
platform
high-priced
blind
box
dolls,
thinking
they
can
keep
value
preservation
and
appreciation,
thus
falling
into
the
fixed
pattern
of
trap
carefully
designed
by
businessmen.
Therefore,
it
is
necessary
to
remind
young
people
to
control
their
consumption
in
case
they
become
addicted.
24.
A
couple
and
a
sixty-year-old
guy
are

among
people
D.prove

25.Which
may?NOT?be
the
contributing
factor
to
“blind
box
economy”?
A.The
fondness
of
gambling
to
bet
on
their
luck.
B.The
high
winning
rate
exaggerated
by
sellers.
C.The
blind

A.previous
B.inadequate
C.personal

B.To
promote
the
products
of
“blind
box
economy”.
C.To
list
the

behind
the
popularity
of
“blind
box
economy”.
D.To
warn
the
consumers
to

boxes.
C
Do
you
often
feel
like
you
want
to
wash
your
hands
again
and
again?
Or
do
you
ever
have
the
urge
to
line
up
the
items
on
your
desk?
These
all
may
be
symptoms
of
obsessive-compulsive
disorder(强迫症),
or
OCD,
which
affects
about
2
percent
of
the
world's
population.
Those
who
suffer
from
OCD
have
difficulty
finding
successful
treatment
because
doctors
don't
clearly
understand
its
causes.
But
now,
a
new
study
has
given
hope
for
a
future
cure.
For
the
study,
which
was
published
in
the
journal
Nature
in
October,
researchers
observed
humans,
dogs
and
mice.
They
discovered
four
genes
that
may
be
responsible
for
obsessive-compulsive
behaviors
in
humans.
But
why
observe
dogs
and
mice
to
learn
about
humans?
"Dogs,
it
turns
out,
are
surprisingly
similar
to
people,"
study
author
and
geneticist
Elinor
Karlsson,
of
the
Broad
Institute
of
MIT
and
Harvard
University,
US,
told
NPR.
"They're
chasing
their
own
tail
or
chasing
shadows
like
normal,
but
they're
doing
it
for
hours."
In
the
study,
researchers
made
a
list
of
about
600
genes
in
mice,
dogs
and
humans
that
they
thought
might
cause
OCD,
reported
NPR.
They
then
compared
those
genes
in
two
large
groups
of
people
-
those
who
don't
have
OCD
and
those
who
do.
In
the
end,
they
identified
just
four
genes
with
mutations
(突变)
in
the
OCD
group.
The
genes
are
active
in
a
neurological
pathway
(神经通路)
in
the
brain,
which
is
believed
to
help
control
actions.
But
the
mutations
could
block
the
neurological
pathway.
For
example,
for
people
without
OCD,
when
they
finish
washing
their
hands,
a
signal
will
come,
telling
them
to
stop.
But
for
people
with
OCD,
the
neurological
pathway
is
blocked,
so
the
message
isn't
getting
through.
As
a
result,
the
person
will
continue
to
wash
their
hands.
"OCD
and
anxiety
are
kind
of
like
learning
disorders,"
Marcos
Grados,
an
OCD
researcher
at
Johns
Hopkins
University
School
of
Medicine,
told
NPR.
"Often
with
OCD,
people
have
a
fear
of
germs
(细菌).
You
can't
touch
tables
or
door
knobs
(把手)
and
every
time
it's
the
same
sensation
(感觉).
You
didn't
learn
that
the
last
time
you
touched
a
door
knob,
nothing
happened.
It's
like
touching
it
for
the
first
time
ever."
However,
that
doesn't
mean
people
who
have
these
genetic
mutations
will
always
have
obsessive-compulsive
behaviors,
the
researchers
said.
That's
because
the
disorder
also
relies
on
other
things,
such
as
one's
environment.
According
to
reports,
various
existing
treatment
methods
have
low
success
rates
in
patients.
But
now
that
we
know
where
OCD
comes
from,
let's
hope
we
will
soon
find
an
effective
way
to
treat
it.
28.What
did
researchers
recently
find
about
OCD?___
A.
They
found
a
possible
cure
for
it.
B.
It
is
a
common
problem
among
animals.
C.
It
can
be
caused
by
genetic
mutations.
D.
It
can
be
passed
on
to
the
next
generation.
29.What
would
a
typical
OCD
sufferer
probably
do?___
A.
Enjoy
shaking
hands
with
others.
B.
Touch
door
knobs
from
time
to
time.
C.
Keep
washing
their
hands.
D.
Enjoy
the
company
of
friends.
30.What
is
the
problem
for
OCD
sufferers
according
to
the
study?___
A.
They
have
four
missing
genes
that
control
their
behavior.
B.
Some
part
of
their
neurological
pathway
is
damaged.
C.
Their
brains
are
not
sensitive
to
behavioral
signals.
D.
Their
brains
can't
receive
messages
to
stop
repeated
actions.
31.Which
of
the
following
will
the
author
probably
agree
with?___
A.
OCD
causes
more
trouble
than
anxiety.
B.
A
genetic
mutation
is
the
main
cause
of
OCD.
C.
Environment
plays
a
more
important
role
in
OCD
than
genes.
D.
It's
possible
to
find
effective
treatment
for
OCD.
D
Like
a
tired
marriage,
the
relationship
between
libraries
and
publishers
has
long
been
dull.
E-books,
however,
are
causing
heartache.
Libraries
know
they
need
digital
wares,
but
many
publishers
are
too
cautious
about
piracy(盗版)
and
lost
sales
to
co-operate.
Among
the
big
six,
only
Random
House
and
Harper
Collins
license
e-books
with
most
libraries.
Publishers
are
wise
to
be
nervous.
Owners
of
e-readers
are
exactly
the
customers
they
need:
book-lovers
with
money.
If
these
wonderful
people
switch
to
borrowing
e-books
instead
of
buying
them,
what
then?
Electronic
borrowing
is
awfully
convenient.
Unlike
printed
books,
which
must
be
checked
out
and
returned
to
a
physical
library
miles
from
where
you
live,book
files
can
be
downloaded
at
home.
The
files
disappear
from
the
device
when
they
are
due.
E-lending
is
not
simple,
however.
There
are
lots
of
different
and
often
incompatible(不兼容的)
e-book
formats,
devices
and
licenses.
Most
libraries
use
a
company
called
Overdrive,
which
secures
rights
from
publishers
and
provides
e-books
and
audio
files
in
every
format.
Yet
publishers
and
libraries
are
worried
by
Overdrive's
global
market
dominance
(优势),
as
the
company
can
control
fees
and
conditions.
Publishers
were
annoyed
when
Overdrive
cooperated
with
Amazon,
the
world's
biggest
online
bookseller,
last
year.
Owners
of
Amazon's
Kindle
e-reader
who
want
to
borrow
e-books
from
libraries
are
now
redirected
to
Amazon's
website,
where
they
must
use
their
Amazon
account
to
secure
a
loan.
According
to
Pew,
an
opinion
researcher,
library
users
are
a
perfect
market
for.
Amazon.
Late
last
year
Amazon
introduced
its
Kindle
Owners'
Lending
Library,
which
lets
its
best
customers
borrow
free
one
of
thousands
of
popular
books
each
month,
Library
supporters
argue
that
book
borrowers
are
also
book
buyers
and
that
libraries
are
vital
spaces
for
readers
to
discover
new
works.
Many
were
cheered
by
a
recent
Pew
survey,
which
found.that
more
than
half
of
Americans
with
library
cards
say.
they
prefer
to
buy
their
e-books.
So
publishers
keep
adjusting
their
lending
arrangements
in
search
of
the
right
balance.
Random
House
raised
its
licensing
prices
earlier
this
year,
and
Harper
Collins
limits
libraries
to
lending
its
titles
26
times.
32.It
can
be
inferred
from
Paragraph
1
that___.
A.
several
big
publishers
have
sold
e-books
to
libraries
B.
most
publishers
are
hesitant
to
cooperate
with
libraries
C.
libraries
are
eager
to
keep
a
strong
relationship
with
publishers
D.
Libraries
and
publishers
face
the
same
problem
of
e-books
piracy
33Why
are
publishers
worried
that
people
will
switch
to
electronic
borrowing?___
A.
E-books
must
be
checked
out
and
returned
to
libraries
regularly.
B.
There
is
no
time
limit
for
the
book

第二节
(共5小题,每小题2.5分。满分12.5分)
阅读下列短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,选项中有两项为多余选项。
Is
it
true
that
British
people
have
a
different
sense
of
humor
than
people
in
other
countries?
Let’s
have
a
look
at
what
we
laugh
at
in
Britain.
36
?It’s
not
just
politicians
who
make
us
laugh,
but
anyone
whose
job
is
to
tell
other
people
what
to
do
and
who
takes
themselves
too
seriously.
We
laugh
at
authority,
but
also
sympathetically
laugh
with
anyone
who
we
think
is
treated
badly.?
37
?Our
clowns
are
often
silly
people
doing
silly
things—Mr
Bean,
for
example—while
in
America,
they
are
often
clever
people
doing
clever
things
and
winning.
The
fact
that
we
laugh
when
other
people
might
feel
hopeless
is
one
of
the
oddest
things
to
appreciate
about
British
humor.
We
do
have
a
strong
sense
of
irony
(反讽).
“Not
very
pleasant,”
we
might
say
after
some
terrible
experience.?
38
?“It’s
a
bit
windy
today”
we
might
say
in
the
middle
of
a
typhoon,
or
“There’s
a
slight
problem,”
when
something
has
gone
very
seriously
wrong.?
39
Another
thing
that
can
make
it
difficult
to
understand
British
humor
is
that
we
don’t
always
laugh
or
even
smile
when
we
say
something
funny.?
40
Do
you
think
the
British
sense
of
humor
is
unique?
A.In
addition,we
tend
to
play
things
down.
B.We
often
keep
a
straight
face
even
when
we’re
making
a
joke.
C.Culture
plays
a
big
part
in
how
funny
you
may
find
something.
D.We
know
they
can’
t
win,but
if
they
do
so
sometimes,it’s
even
funnier.
E.Brits
don’t
express
extreme
feelings;we
just“keep
calm
and
carry
on”.
F.Brits
turn
to
laughter
as
a
form
of
medicine
when
life
knocks
them
down.
G.To
the
British,powerful
and
important
people
are
often
sources
of
laughter.

第二节
(共10小题。每小题1.5分。满分15分)
阅读下面的短文,在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。
Whenever
a
new
technology
begins
to
make
difference
to
the
society,
we
hear
____56______(argue)
about
the“soulless
moderm
way”and
the“good
old
days",
_
57_
things
were
slower.
Often
the
older
generation
complains
about
the
younger
one.
This
debate
heated
up
again
58
(recent)
when
The
Beijing
News
reported
that
nearly
70
percent
of
young
people
in
China
speed-watch
videos
and
shows
online.
It
can
be
concluded
that
today's
youth
are
so
caught
up
in
the
fast
pace
of
modern
life
that
they
can
no
longer
give
something
their
full
attention.
There
may
be
some
truth
to
this,__59__
is
it
the
only
truth?
I
am
one
of
these
so-called
speed-watchers.
I
tend
to
play
South
Korean
soap
operas-
-the
2014
sensation
(大热剧)
Man
From
the
Stars,
for
example-
at
1.5x
or
2x
speed.
The
reason
is
simple.
I
want
to
know
what
the
fuss
is
about
and
I
don't
want
to
be
left
out
of
conversations
online
and
with
friends.
I
also
speed-listen
to
informative
audio,
like
TED
talks
and
lectures,_60_
the
sole
purpose
of
taking
in
as
much
information
as
possible.
But
there
are
films
and
podcasts
which
deserve
my
ful1
attention-
-and
they
will
have
it.
When_
61_
(watch)
the
likes
of
Downton
Abbey
or
Game
of
Thrones,
to
name
two,
I
won't
skim
past
even___
62
second
of
the
action.
Every
long
pause
and
change
of
emotion
carry
meaning
that
63___
(lose)
by
speed-watching.
So
perhaps
the
debate
shouldn't
be
about
which
one
is___
64
(good)-
-the
fast
life
or
the
slow
one.
Instead,___
65
is
about
understanding
what's
really
important
to
you
and
taking
control
of
the
time
you
want
to
spend
on
it.

At
noon
that
day,
I
drove
back
to
my
house
after
the?performance.
Just
as
I
entered
the
living
room,
I
heard
a?gentle
sound?coming
from
the
bedroom
upstairs--it
was
the
sound
of
my
favorite?violin.
"Thief!"
I
dashed
upstairs.
Sure
enough,
as
expected,
a
boy
of
about
12
years
old
was
petting
my
violin.
The
boy
had
messy
hair
and
a?thin
face,
his
oversized
coat
seemingly
filled
with
something.
At
first
glance,
I
found
a
new
pair
of
shoes
missing.
It
seemed
that
he
was
surely
a
thief.
Then,
I
saw
his
eyes
full
of
fear
and
despair.
My
anger
was
immediately
replaced
by
a
smile.
I
asked,
"Are
you
Mr.
Ram's?nephew,
Michael?
I'm
his?housekeeper.
Two
days
ago,
I
heard
his
nephew
living
in
the
countryside
will
come.
It
must
be
you.
You're
really
like
him!"
On
hearing
my
words,
the
boy
was
first?astonished,
but
then
quickly
said,
"Has
my
uncle
gone
out?
I
think
I'd
better
first
go
out
for
a
walk
and
visit
him
again
in
a
while."
I
nodded
and
asked
the
boy
who
was
preparing
to
put
down
the
violin,
"Do
you
like
to
play
the
violin
so
much?"
"Yes,
but
I'm
so
poor
that
I
can't?afford?it."
the
boy
replied.
"Then,
I
give
this
violin
to
you."
The
boy
looked
at
me
questioningly,
but
he
picked
up
the
violin.
Going
out
to
the
living
room,
he
suddenly
saw
on
the
wall
a
huge
color?photo?of
me
playing
the
violin
in
the
Sydney
Opera
House.
He
involuntarily
trembled
for
a
moment
and
ran
out
without
looking
back.
I
was
sure
that
the
boy
had
understood
what
happened
because
no
one
would
decorate(装饰)
the
living
room
with
the
housekeeper's
photo.
