课时分层作业(三)
Ⅰ.阅读理解
A
I
am
an
e?mail
user.When
I
first
started
to
use
the
e?mail
system,I
used
to
read
all
my
e?mail.I
didn't
have
much
mail.I
gave
my
friends
my
e?mail
address.Soon
I
had
more
mail
than
I
wanted.Some
of
the
mail
was
junk
mail.I
was
worried.I
didn't
want
my
mail
to
control
me.
I've
tried
some
methods
to
help
me
get
control
of
my
mail.First,I
check
my
mail
at
the
same
time
every
day.Also
I
try
to
allow
myself
only
15~20
minutes
every
day
to
process
my
e?mail.This
doesn't
always
work,but
I
try.Sometimes
I
save
the
messages.Sometimes
I
just
read
them,maybe
answer
a
few,and
then
delete(删除)them.
Sometimes
I'm
not
at
all
interested
in
a
message,so
I
don't
even
open
it.I
delete
it
right
away.This
is
very
much
the
way
I
go
through
the
mail
that
the
postal
service
delivers
to
my
home.
These
methods
are
very
simple.I
have
some
friends
who
are
very
clever
with
computers.From
time
to
time,they
teach
me
new
tricks
for
managing
my
e?mail.I'm
still
amazed
at
what
e?mail
can
do
for
me!
I'm
still
worried,however,about
having
too
much
to
read.

B
As
Internet
users
become
more
dependent
on
the
Internet
to
store
information,are
people
remember
less?
If
you
know
your
computer
will
save
information,why
store
it
in
your
own
personal
memory,your
brain?
Experts
are
wondering
if
the
Internet
is
changing
what
we
remember
and
how.
In
a
recent
study,Professor
Betsy
Sparrow
conducted
some
experiments.She
and
her
research
team
wanted
to
know
the
Internet
is
changing
memory.In
the
first
experiment,they
gave
people
40
unimportant
facts
to
type
into
a
computer.The
first
group
of
people
understood
that
the
computer
would
save
the
information.The
second
group
understood
that
the
computer
would
not
save
it.Later,the
second
group
remembered
the
information
better.People
in
the
first
group
knew
they
could
find
the
information
again,so
they
did
not
try
to
remember
it.
In
another
experiment,the
researchers
gave
people
facts
to
remember,and
told
them
where
to
find
the
information
on
the
Internet.The
information
was
in
a
specific
computer
folder
(文件夹).Surprisingly,people
later
remember
the
folder
location
(位置)
better
than
the
facts.When
people
use
the
Internet,they
do
not
remember
the
information.Rather,they
remember
how
to
find
it.This
is
called
“transactive
memory
(交互记忆)”.
According
to
Sparrow,we
are
not
becoming
people
with
poor
memories
as
a
result
of
the
Internet.Instead,computer
users
are
developing
stronger
transactive
memories;that
is,people
are
learning
how
to
organize
huge
quantities
of
information
so
that
they
are
able
to
access
it
at
a
later
date.This
doesn't
mean
we
are
becoming
either
more
or
less
intelligent,but
there
is
no
doubt
that
the
way
we
use
memory
is
changing.

about
the
first
experiment?

typed
the
information

8.What
is
the
effect
of

are
using
memory

The
event
that
stands
out
in
Tom's
memory
happened
one
morning
when
Tom
was
only
ten
years
old.He
was
at
home
with
his
elder
sister
Jane.Tom
was
doing
his
homework
when
he
heard
raised
voices.At
first
he
thought
nothing
of
it
since
customers
in
the
motorcycle
shop
directly
below
their
flat
often
became
loud,but
he
soon
realized
this
time
it
was
different.
“Quick!
Quick!
Remove
the
motorcycles
from
the
shop.”
someone
shouted.Then
a
thick
burning
smell
filled
the
air.When
Tom
opened
the
front
door
of
their
flat
to
investigate,a
thick
cloud
of
smoke
greeted
him.The
motorcycle
shop
had
caught
fire
and
people
were
running
and
crying.
Jane,who
had
been
playing
the
violin
in
her
room,hurried
to
the
living
room.They
rushed
out
of
the
door
and
along
the
corridor
(走廊)
through
the
smoke.
They
were
heading
towards
the
stairway
at
the
far
end
of
the
corridor
when
Jane
suddenly
stopped
in
her
track.She
turned
around
and
headed
back
the
way
they
came.Tom
had
no
idea
what
she
was
doing,but
he
followed
her.
Jane
had
suddenly
remembered
the
lady
in
her
70s
who
lived
next
door
to
them,who
they
called
Makcik.Jane
began
banging
on
Makcik's
door,but
got
no
answer.As
the
smoke
thickened
around
them,Tom
could
see
many
of
their
neighbors—some
still
in
their
pajamas
(睡衣)—running
for
safety.The
thought
of
fear
crossed
his
mind.
“She
would
have
run
for
safety
like
everyone
else!”
Tom
cried.However,Jane
refused
to
give
up.“I
know
Makcik's
still
inside.”
She
said
she
was
familiar
with
Makcik's
daily
routine
and
was
certain
she
would
still
be
sleeping.She
pounded
against
the
door.“Go
downstairs.Go
now!
Go!”
Paragraph
1:
Tom
noticed
the
flame
(火焰)
was
reaching
up.
Paragraph
2:
Luckily,some
neighbors
passing
by
stopped
and
offered
help.
【参考范文】

noticed
the
flame
was
reaching
up.Frozen
with
fear,he
stood
rooted
to
the

comprehended
the
gravity
of
the
situation
and
held
Jane's
hand
tightly.Both
of
them
were
coughing
and
their
eyes
were
stinging.Time
seemed
to
stand
still,though
they
were
probably
there
for
only
two
or
three
minutes.Tom
begged
Jane
to
run
for
safety
as
quickly
as
possible.Jane
tried
to
shield

from
the

smoke
and
shook
her
head.She
kept
pounding
against
the

Ms.Makcik

C
It's
really
true
what
people
say
about
English
politeness:
it's
everywhere.When
squeezing(挤)
past
someone
or
passing
through
a
crowd
in
a
narrow
place,people
say
“sorry”.When
getting
off
a
bus,English
passengers
say
“thank
you”
rather
than
the
driver.In
Germany,people
would
never
dream
of
doing
these
things.After
all,squeezing
past
others
is
sometimes
unavoidable(不可避免的),and
the
bus
driver
is
only
doing
his
job.I
used
to
think
the
same
way,without
questioning
it,until
I
started
traveling
to
the
British
Isles
and
came
to
appreciate(欣赏)
some
more
polite
ways
of
communicating
with
people,and
here
are
some
more
polite
ways
of
interacting
with
people
in
UK.
People
thank
each
other
everywhere
in
England
all
the
time.When
people
buy
something
in
a
shop,customer
and
shop
assistant
in
most
cases
thank
each
other
twice
or
more.In
Germany,it
would
be
surprising
to
hear
more
than
one
thank
you
in
such
a
conversation.British
students
thank
their
lecturers
when
leaving
the
room.English
employers
thank
their
employees
for
doing
their
jobs,which
is
different
from
Germans,who
would
normally
think
that
paying
their
workers
money
is
already
enough.
Another
thing
I
observed
during
my
stay
was
that
English
people
rarely
criticize(批评)
others.Even
when
I
was
working
and
mistakes
were
pointed
out
to
me,my
employers
repeated
several
times
but
none
of
their
explanations
were
intended
as
scolding
me.It
has
been
my
impression
that
by
avoiding
scolding,English
people
are
making
an
effort
to
make
others
feel
comfortable.This
also
is
showed
in
other
ways.British
men
still
open
doors
for
women,and
British
men
are
more
likely
to
treat(请客)
women
to
a
meal
than
German
men.However,I
do
need
to
point
out
here
that
this
applies(适用于)
to
English
men
a
bit
more
than
it
would
to
Scottish
men!
Yes,the
latter
are
a
bit
mean(吝啬的).

8.What
is
the
author's
feeling
of
English
politeness?
A.He
thinks
highly
of
it.
B.He

little
of
it.
C.He
thinks
it
is
unnecessary.
D.He
thinks
it

far.
A [推理判断题。通过第一段及全文可知,作者看到英国人的礼貌无处不在,起初他不以为然,认为有些事大可不必说客气话,但是在英国大不列颠岛的一次旅行改变了作者对英国人礼貌的看法。appreciate意为“欣赏”。故A选项正确。]
9.What
can
be
inferred
from
the
passage?
A.British
men
never
treat
a
woman
to
dinner.
B.British
men
think
it's
unnecessary
to
say
“thank
you”
to
the
bus
driver.
C.In
Germany,employers
often
say
“thank
you”
to
employees
for
their

D.Germans
think
it
is
unnecessary
to
thank
workers
because
payment
is
enough.

for
doing
their

is
different
from

Ⅱ.阅读七选五(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
Healthy
habits
that
stick
Here
are
five
rules
that
helped
me
develop
good
habits.
1.Pick
habits
you
honestly
want
to
have
I
didn't
choose
habits
I
thought
I
should
add
because
of
what
anyone
else
was
doing.
16
It
was
about
listening
to
myself.
2.Build
your
habit
your
own
way
When
I
started
to
build
up
an
exercise
routine(习惯),I
only
went
when
I
wanted
to
go.For
me,that
was
around
2
p.m.every
day.
17
If
I
wanted
to
do
20
minutes
on
the
bike,I'd
do
only
20
minutes
and
then
leave.
3.Start
small
I
knew
that
if
I
tried
to
take
on
too
much,I'd
find
a
way
to
make
an
excuse.
18
I
started
with
two
minutes
of
exercise,which
were
finally
built
up
to
10,then
20
minutes.I
realized
that
just
doing
something,no
matter
how
small,meant
I
was
more
likely
to
do
it
again
the
next
day.
4.Be
kind
to
yourself
19
When
I
got
a
cold
and
missed
several
days
of
exercise,I
didn't
beat
myself
up.Instead
of
punishing
myself,I
tried
to
love
myself-and
that
had
a
more
enjoyable
and
lasting
effect.
5.Celebrate
every
small
victory
When
I
began
keeping
a
diary
every
morning,I
put
a
number
in
the
corner
of
each
page
to
show
how
many
diaries
I
had
written.
20
Finally,after
I
filled
up
a
notebook,I
celebrated
buying
a
new
notebook.
A.If
I
missed
a
day,I
let
it
go.
B.I
can
make
exercise
less
boring.
C.So
my
daily
purposes
were
very
small.
D.I
celebrated
my
pen
running
out
of
ink.
E.It
wasn't
about
keeping
up
with
other
people.
F.I
should
celebrate
my
success
with
my
friends.
G.It
also
meant
that
I
would
do
whatever
I
wanted
to
do
once
I
got
there.

doing.”及“It

listening
to
myself.”可知,对于我自己想养成的习惯,我要倾听自己内心的声音,不是人云亦云,追逐他人的脚步。故选E。]
17.G [根据下文中的“If
I
wanted
to
do
20
minutes
on
the
bike,I'd
do
only
20
minutes
and
then
leave.”可知,我只做我想做的运动。故选G。]
18.C [根据该段小标题Start
small及划线处上一句中的“I
knew
that

up.”意为“如果我落下一天,那就落下吧。

Ⅲ.完形填空(共15小题,每小题1分,满分15分)
My
mother
has
a
unique
way
of
embarrassing
her
children.Whenever
she
gets
21
about
something,she
jumps
up
and
down,screaming.We
22
this
as
the
“silly
dances”.As
her
daughter,I
find
this
completely
embarrassing.Anytime
she
goes
into
the
silly
dance,I
will
23
slowly
away,smile
awkwardly,and
24
to
people,“No,she's
not
my
mother.”
Even
though
my
mother
brought
me
much
25
when
I
was
little,and
even
though
she
still
does
the
silly
dance
when
something
goes
her
way,I
now
26
it.Because
the
silly
dance
shows
just
who
she
is,and
it
shows
that
she
is
happy.
27
she
didn't
do
her
dance
and
just
obeyed
our
wishes
for
“not
in
public,Mom”,she
would
compromise(妥协)
who
she
is.I
owe
a
lot
of
my
28
for
the
theater
to
my
mother.I
now
sing
publicly
like
my
mother
does.And
my
friends
are
always
doing
that
29
awkward
smile
and
usually
whispering
under
their
breath,“Carolyn,public.”
So
in
many
ways
I'm
becoming
my
mother.I'm
not
going
to
30
singing
just
because
people
feel
embarrassed
at
it.I
have
no
31
that
I
will
embarrass
my
own
children
with
my
performance
of
the
“silly
dance”.So
what?
That's
who
I
am.
It's
my
32
that
everyone
should
dance
to
the
beat
of
her
own
drum,even
if
the
guy
next
to
you
gives
you
a(n)
33
look.I
believe
in
the
things
that
set
us
apart.I
believe
in
being
myself,no
matter
how
many
awkward
smiles
I
34
.I
believe
in
the
idea
that
never
35
who
I
am.

volunteered
about
30
to
40
hours
a
week
during
the

Most
of
the
time
I
spent
there
was
with
Mr.Green.He
never
has
any
visitors,and
nobody
seemed
to
care
about
his
condition.I
spent
many
days
there
holding
his
hand
and
talking
to
him,helping
with
anything
that
needed
to
be
done.He
became
a
close
friend
of
mine,even
though
he
responded
with
only
an
occasional
hold
of
my
hand.Mr.Green
was
in
a

I
left
for
a

for
a

when
I
came

ask
any
of
the
nurses
where
he
was,for
fear
they
might
tell
me
he
had

with
many
questions

to

there
through
my
