Mom, hurry up! 妈妈,快点!
hurry (v./n.) 赶快,匆忙;in a hurry 迅速,如:He left in a hurry. 他匆忙离开了。
hurry 常用于以下结构:hurry to do sth. 急忙做某事;hurry to﹢某地 匆忙去某地,如:
The kids hurried to open their presents. 孩子们急忙打开礼物。
He hurried to school this morning. 今早他匆匆忙忙去了学校。
May I ask you some questions, Dr. Li 李医生,我可以问你一些问题吗?
May I … 是日常交际中常用的表请求的句型。在此句型中,“一些”通常用some,而不用any 。如:May I have some water, please 我能喝点儿水吗?
question 意为“问题,疑问”, 指较易解决的问题及口头回答的问题,如:
Can you answer the question 你能回答这个问题吗?
Sure, go ahead. 当然可以,请问吧。
go ahead. (口语) 进行吧!干吧!请吧!如:
—Can I read the sports section 我可以看看体育版吗?
—Yeah, go ahead. 请看吧。
【拓展】(1)go ahead and do sth. 赶紧做某事。如:
Go ahead and eat before everything gets cold. 趁东西还没凉赶紧吃。
(2)go ahead of …在……之前去,如:
Bill went ahead of the others to try to find help. 比尔先于别人去寻求帮助。
The flu is spreading quickly among people these days. 这些天,流感在人群中传播得很快。
spread (v.) 传播,流传;如:
The use of computers spread quickly during that period. 在那个时期,计算机迅速应用开来。
— Must we do exercise to prevent the flu 预防流感我们必须做运动吗?
— Yes, we must. / No, we don’t have to. / No, we needn’t. 是的,必须。/不,不必。
Must we / I … 的肯定回答:Yes, we /you must. 否定回答:No, we /you needn’t/don’t have to. 而不能用mustn’t。
have to 意思是“不得不,必须”,后跟动词原形。
He doesn’t have to walk so fast. 他不必走那么快。
