Air
pollution
may
be
causing
baldness,
scientists
have
shown
for
the
first
time.
A
new
study
found
that
fine
particulate
matter
emitted
by
cars
would
damage
the
skin
that
holds
hair
follicles
(毛囊)in
place.
A
series
of
laboratory
tests
on
human
cells
showed
that
levels
of
the
crucial
proteins
needed
for
hair
to
grow
and
be
retained
decreased
when
they
were
exposed
to
pollution
particles.
While
there
is
a
growing
body
of
evidence
showing
how
these
tiny
particles
can
damage
internal
health,
including
by
entering
the
bloodstream
through
the
lungs,
this
is
the
first
to
demonstrate
such
a
risk
to
the
surface
of
the
body.
The
study
was
conducted
by
exposing
cells
from
the
human
follicle
dermal
papilla
cells
(HFDPCs)
,to
various
concentrations
of
PM10-like
dust
and
diesel
particles
(柴油颗粒)After
24
hours
the
researchers
performed
a
process,
known
as
western
blotting,
to
detect
the
levels
of
specific
proteins
in
the
cells.
The
results
showed
that
the
presence
of
PM10
and
diesel
particles
decreased
levels
of
B-catenin,
空the
protein
responsible
for
hair
growth.
The
study
also
revealed
that
the
levels
of
three
other
proteins---cyclin
DI,
cyclin
E
and
CDK2,which
are
responsible
for
hair
growth
and
hair
retention,
were
decreased
by
PM10-like
dust
and
diesel
particles
in
a
"dose-dependent"
manner.
Dr
Hyuk

Kwon,
who
led
the
study
at
the
Future

said,
“While
the
link

there
is
little-to-no
research
on
the
effect
of
particulate

the
human
skin

particular.
Our
research
explains
the
mode
of
action
of
air

showing
how
the
most
common
air
pollutants
lead
to
hair
loss.

the
burning

diesel,
as
well
as
other
solid
fuels,
and
other
industrial
activities
such
as
building,
mining
and
the
manufacturing
of
building
materials
like
bricks.
“While
it
is
difficult
to
escape
from
the
surrounding
pollution,
limiting
the
time
for
walking
in
busy
streets,
especially
during

hour,
should
help
reduce
exposure,
”said
Dr
Kwon.
"lf

There

In

our

【答案】ACBDA
CDBAB
ACDCA
DBACD
【解析】
A.
根据前文可知“我”与Rita关系紧张,因此“我”所表达的善意都会适得其反。
C.
此处应是“我”和Rita之间的关系令人难以置信的糟糕。
B.
根据后文可知这里是“我”结束了护理生涯。
D.
根据前文两人的关系,此处应是令人烦恼的同事。
A.
词义辨析,流行病来袭,A项hit有袭击之意。
C.
词义辨析,这里应是寻找自己之前留下的一箱口罩。
D.
前后逻辑,前一句说明自己没有找到原本留下的口罩,后一句说到自己反而发现了一封陈旧、未拆封的邮件,很明显是转折关系。
B.
根据前文可知,“我”对于发现这些邮件也很意外,所以应是无意识地将它们放在材料旁边。
A.
收到卡片总归还是一件令人愉快的事,故选treat。
B.
短语辨析,A.
达成共识,B.
弄清楚,C.
调查,D.
处理、应对,这里应是“我”不能弄清我认识的人谁在佛罗里达。
A.
根据后面一句,卡片是Rita寄的,所以“我”应是很惊讶。
C.
根据后一句,Rita对“我”刻薄,所以这里应是请求“我”的原谅。
D.
固定搭配,a
wave
of,“我”陷入了爱与原谅的这种情绪之中。
C.
根据后文可知,这里应是发送消息的人,故选texter。
A.
词义辨析,发送饱含深情的信息让她相信...,故选convincing。
D.
前后逻辑,前一句说明没有担忧的原因、没有原谅的必要,后一句表达自己充满爱与感激之情,所以这两句应是因果逻辑关系。
B.
几秒钟后我收到了回信,故选received。
A.
根据前文,“我”发送信息的内容可知,“我”对Rita
尽释前嫌,所以这里应是表达Rita非常高兴之意。
C.
词义辨析,根据上前文所交代的内容,“我”与Rita的和解以及“我”身体的恢复应是她常常所祈祷的事情。
D.
根据前文可知,Rita表示“我”与她的和解对她意义重大,这是意料之外的,并且后文也再次提及意料之外一词。

【解析】
66.根据达尔文进化理论,可知本句句意是“达尔文从很多事实总结出人类的起源”,故答案为origin。
67.根据句意,“为了提高学习效率,学校呼吁学生们每天至少留出一个小时锻炼。”,故答案为appeal
to(呼吁;吸引;诉诸。)
68.主要考查非谓语,be
determined
to
do
sth,这一类表示状态的非谓语一般用过去分词作状语。
69.
rather
than
并列两个类似结构,所以此句中要用complaining.
70.考查词义。本句主要根据句意,“尽管在国外生活了好多年,许多中国人还是遵守中国的传统习俗。”,observe高中主要考查三个意思:遵守;庆祝;观察。
71.
本句为表语提前的完全倒装句,正常语序为
a
note
was
attached
to
the
gift,
由于note后面有一个很长的定于从句,故将谓语放到句首使句子保持平衡。
72.根据句意,“不要惊慌或行为不当”,故填动词panic。
73.根据句意,“在找到所有证据之前我不想发表意见。”,
to
reserve
(my)
judgement=not
make
a
decision,reserve动词意思
“保留;预约;”,还有名词“保护区”。
74.根据句意,
“有效的方法”,故答案为effective。
75.根据句意及后面的weaknesses,可推断这个空格应该是strengths,注意写复数形式。

In

which

most
to
your

and
you

even

to

them
before

I
have
often
wondered
whether
some
people,
who
had
no
intention
of
making
a
purchase,
would
take
advantage
of
this
privilege.
One
day
I
asked
this
question
to
the
shop
girl,
and
I
learned
it
was
indeed
the
case.
“Now
there’s
one
old
gentleman,
for
instance,”
she
told
me,
“he
comes
here
almost
every
week
and
samples
each
one
of
the
puddings,
though
he
never
buys
anything,
and
I
suspect
he
never
will.
I
remember
him
from
last
year
before
that,
too.
Well,
let
him
come
if
he
wants
it,
and
welcome
to
it.

She
was
still
speaking
when
an
elderly
gentleman
limped
(跛行)up
to
the
counter
and
began
looking
closely
at
the
row
of
puddings
with
great
interest.
“Why,
that’s
the
very
gentleman
I’ve
been
telling
you
about,”
whispered
the
shop
girl.
“Just
watch
him
now.”
And
then
turning
to
him:
“Would
you
like
to
sample
them,
sir?
Here’s
spoon
for
you
to
use.”
The
elderly
gentleman,
who
was
poorly
but
neatly
dressed,
accepted
the
spoon
and
began
eagerly
to
sample
one
after
another
of
the
puddings,
only
braking
off
occasionally
to
wipe
his
red
eyes
with
a
large
torn
handkerchief.
“This
is
quite
good.”
“This
is
not
bad
either,
but
a
little
too
heavy.”
All
the
time
it
was
quite
evident
that
he
sincerely
believed
that
he
might
eventually
buy
one
of
these
puddings,
and
I
am
positive
that
he
did
not
for
a
moment
feel
that
he
was
in
any
way
cheating
the
store.
Poor
old
chap!
Probably
he
had
come
down
in
the
world
and
this
sampling
was
all
that
was
left
him
from
the
time
when
he
could
afford
to
come
and
select
his
favorite
pudding.

Dr

areas
that

24.
What
did
the
new
study
find?
A.
Air
pollution
can
do
great
harm
to
our
lungs.
B.
The
color
of
our
skin
can
be
influenced
by
air
pollution.
C.
Serious
air
pollution
can
probably
prevent
hair
from
growing.
D.
Air
pollution
can
affect
hair
growth
by
entering
the
bloodstream.
25.
What
can
we
learn
from
Dr
Hyuk
Chul
Kwon's
words?
A.
His
new
research
is
superior
to
previous
research.
B.
The
research
he
conducted
is
really
of
great
importance.
C.
The
results
of
his
new
research
need
to
be
further
improved.
D.
A
link
between
air
pollution
and
diseases
needs
to
be
established.
26.
What
does
Dr
Kwon
advise
us
to
do?
A.
To
do
as
much
exercise
as
possible.
.
B.
To
take
action
to
reduce
air
pollution.
C.
To
avoid
being
exposed
to
air
pollution.
D.
To
take
public
transport
to
avoid
traffic
jams.
C
There
have
been
many
problems
with
our
schools
today,
the
biggest
of
which
is
closely
related
to
our
culture.
In
general,
our
culture,
as
represented
in
the
media,
gets
excited
by
famous
stars,
and
constantly
stresses
that
it's
what
you
have,
not
what
you
are,
that
counts.
Parents
are
encouraged
to
be
away
from
even
very
small
children
for
most
of
the
day.
Too
many
voters
go
for
politicians
who
would
rather
cut
school
funding
(基金)than
to
get
rid
of
tax
cuts
for
the
wealthy.
All
contribute
greatly
to
the
problems
of
educating
our
children.
Today's
teachers
have
to
deal
with
a
culture
that
is
vastly
different
than
in
the
past.
They
report
that
there
is,
among
more
children
than
ever,
a
lack
of
motivation,
no
drive
to
succeed
or
even
try.
The
role
models
that
boys
view
in
the
media
mostly
consist
of
men
in
comedies
and
other
shows
who
are
rude
and
often
extremely
immature:
self-centered
overpaid
athletes;
men
in
movies,
television
dramas,
video
games,
etc.
who
are
preoccupied
with
violence
and
power.
As
Leonard
Sax
wrote
in
"Boys
Adrift".
"Teenage
boys
are
looking
for
models
of
mature
adulthood.
but
we
no
longer
make
any
collective
effort
to
provide
such
models.
"Girls
are
attacked
not
only
with
such
annoying
images
(形象)of
males.
but
also
with
women
who
are
preoccupied
with
appearance
and
are
extremely
materialistic.
In
such
a
cultural
environment.it
is
more
important
than
ever
to
have
responsible.
loving
and
caring
parents
who
have
enough
time
and
motivation
to
devote
to
their
children
and
see
to
it
as
their
duty
to
model
for
them
and
raise
them
with
high
standards
of
honesty
and
responsibility
along
with
tending
to
their
physical
needs.
They
need
to
care
enough
to
see
that
their
children
are
not
attacked
with
the
garbage
that
comes
from
movie,
television
and
computer
screens.
In
today
s
culture,
they
are
basically
alone
in
this
effort
since,
unfortunately,
so
much
is
working
against
them.
Until
we,
as
a
culture,
face
the
truth
about
ourselves-that
we
are
not
providing
adequately
for
a
great
many
of
our
children--the
storm
will
continue
to
rage
(肆虐)over
our
education
system.

第二节:读后续写(25分)
In
a
certain
store
where
they
sell
puddings,
a
number
of
these
delicious
things
are
laid
out
in
a
row
during
the
Christmas
season.
Here
you
may
select
the
one
which
is
most
to
your
taste,
and
you
are
even
allowed
to
sample
them
before
coming
to
a
decision.
I
have
often
wondered
whether
some
people,
who
had
no
intention
of
making
a
purchase,
would
take
advantage
of
this
privilege.
One
day
I
asked
this
question
to
the
shop
girl,
and
I
learned
it
was
indeed
the
case.
“Now
there’s
one
old
gentleman,
for
instance,”
she
told
me,
“he
comes
here
almost
every
week
and
samples
each
one
of
the
puddings,
though
he
never
buys
anything,
and
I
suspect
he
never
will.
I
remember
him
from
last
year
before
that,
too.
Well,
let
him
come
if
he
wants
it,
and
welcome
to
it.

She
was
still
speaking
when
an
elderly
gentleman
limped
(跛行)up
to
the
counter
and
began
looking
closely
at
the
row
of
puddings
with
great
interest.
“Why,
that’s
the
very
gentleman
I’ve
been
telling
you
about,”
whispered
the
shop
girl.
“Just
watch
him
now.”
And
then
turning
to
him:
“Would
you
like
to
sample
them,
sir?
Here’s
spoon
for
you
to
use.”
The
elderly
gentleman,
who
was
poorly
but
neatly
dressed,
accepted
the
spoon
and
began
eagerly
to
sample
one
after
another
of
the
puddings,
only
braking
off
occasionally
to
wipe
his
red
eyes
with
a
large
torn
handkerchief.
“This
is
quite
good.”
“This
is
not
bad
either,
but
a
little
too
heavy.”
All
the
time
it
was
quite
evident
that
he
sincerely
believed
that
he
might
eventually
buy
one
of
these
puddings,
and
I
am
positive
that
he
did
not
for
a
moment
feel
that
he
was
in
any
way
cheating
the
store.
Poor
old
chap!
Probably
he
had
come
down
in
the
world
and
this
sampling
was
all
that
was
left
him
from
the
time
when
he
could
afford
to
come
and
select
his
favorite
pudding.
