Lesson 21《How Can We Go to Beijing?》
一、 教学目标:
1.知识目标:
通过本课学习,使学生正确地说、读、写、用下列单词:airplane train fast slow faster slower.
听懂、会说句型____ is faster(slower) than ____.并能在实际情境中进行运用。
2.能力目标:
会使用句型“faster than;slower than”,进行简短对话。
3.情感态度价值观:
激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,训练听、说、读、写能力,调动学生学习的积极性。让学生充分体验成功的快乐,增强学好英语的自信心。
二、教学重点:
1.掌握下列单词:airplane train fast slow faster slower.
2.能够在实际情境中正确运用句型____is faster(slower) than ____.
三、教学难点:
能够在实际情境中正确运用句型____ is faster(slower) than ____.
四、教学教法:
以情景法为主、全身反应法、直观法、听说法、任务驱动法、交际法等教学方法为辅,调动学生各种感官。
五、教具准备:
单词卡片,多媒体课件,录音机。
六、教学过程:
Step1. Organize the teaching.
T: It's time for class.How are you today
S: I’m fine, thanks. How are you
T: I’m very well, thank you.
(通过课前师生的亲切交流,使学生集中注意力,尽快参与到课堂活动中来。)
Step2. To review.
1.Now, look at the pictures. What's this 课件演示bicycle, car,truck,bus的图片,让学生说出与图片相对应的单词。
(设计意图:复习巩固所学过的单词,为接下来的学习作好充分的准备。)
T: Look. What's this (分别出示幻灯片Tian’anmen Square, the Palace Museum.让学生看图回答。)
T: They are beautiful. Where are they Do you know
S: Beijing.
T: What does Beijing look like
S: Great! Beautiful! Good! Big …
(设计意图:以与学生生活接近的著名景点自然的引出本课的有关知识点——北京,激发学生的兴趣。)
T: Beijing is so great! Do you want to go to Beijing (Yes.) OK. Let's go on a trip to Beijing. But how can we go to Beijing
S:By car.(cab,bicycle… )
T:Good.
(设计意图:既复习了学过的各种交通工具,又调动了学习新交通工具train,airplane的兴趣。)
Step3.Using PowerPoint to teach new words.
Today we are going to learn two words about transportation. (课件演示火车图片)
T:What’s this You can say it in Chinese.
S:火车。
T:What’s this in English “train”.
S:train.
T:用trip引出train.
Listen to the tape and follow it.
Spell it in your groups.Write the word while reading it.

T:Look!What’s this You can say it in Chinese.
S:飞机。
T:What’s this in English “airplane”.
S: airplane.
T:用hair引出airplane.
Listen to the tape and follow it.
Spell it in your groups. Write the word while reading it.
幻灯片出示plane,告诉学生plane是airplane的简写形式。
T:Look!This is an airplane.
强调an airplane.
An airplane is fast.
教授fast时以手势来配合教授该词汇!让学生根据教师的手势动作来领会fast是快的意思。

同样以手势来配合教授slow.让学生通过教师的手势动作来领会slow是慢的意思。

T:Look!(幻灯片出示飞机和火车)飞机比火车快。这句话用英语可以这样说:
An airplane is faster than a train.领读faster.
faster用于描述一种事物比另一种事物的速度快。
A train is slower than an airplane.火车比飞机慢。领读slower.
slower用于描述一种事物比另一种事物速度慢。
出示幻灯片(fast,slow.)
前面我们学习了fast和slow.当单纯形容一种事物快慢的时候用fast,slow.刚刚我们学习了faster,slower.这两个单词用于比较两种事物的快慢。
比较上下两组单词,谁能说说怎样快速记住faster,slower.
让学生回答。
(设计意图:让学生自己去发现规律,从中对比进行记忆,更形象,更好记。)
In this class,we learnt six words.Please remember them.
After while,I will have a test.
让学生到讲台上比赛拼单词,看谁拼的即快又准确。其他同学在下边拼。教师巡视指导。(注意字母的格式)
(设计意图:以比赛的方式检查学生对新学单词的掌握情况,可以提高学生的学习兴趣,并且帮助学生巩固记忆。)
Step4. 教学句型____ is faster than ____. _____ is slower than _____.
T: Please look at the pictures. (课件出示火车和公共汽车图片)
S:______is faster than______.
______is slower than______.
让学生完成填空,课件出示答案。
(课件出示自行车和卡车的图片)
A bicycle is _______than a truck.
A truck is_______ than a bicycle.
让学生完成填空,课件出示答案。
(课件出示小汽车和飞机的图片)
让学生根据前面的练习,自己来说,然后课件出示答案。
A car is slower than an airplane.
An airplane is faster than a car.
通过以上句型的练习,让学生们运用生活中见到过的事物相比较。然后小组内运用日常生活中的事物进行比较,巩固练习此句型。
(设计意图:借助多媒体和图片出示不同的交通工具,鼓励学生模仿说句子,激发学生敢于表达所学句型。通过反复练习比较级句型,使学生学习掌握更扎实。)
