Thirty-two
cases
of
illegal
hunting
or
trading
wild
animals
have
been
uncovered
involving
33
suspects
since
a
crackdown
against
illegal
wildlife
trade
was
launched
on
April
10.
Beijing
police
seized
74
wild
animals
grouped
in
China
into
the
first-grade
and
second-grade
state
protected
animals
including
African
grey
parrots
and
cockatoos,
as
well
as
nearly
50
wild
birds
and
21
pangolin
scales.
On
April
16,
police
in
the
capital
city’s
Chaoyang
district
caught
two
suspects,
who
were
respectively
identified
as
Liu
and
Wang,
for
buying
wild
animals,
and
recovered
more
than
40
wild
birds,
including
one
cockatoo
and
one
African
grey
parrot,
at
their
homes,
the
statement
said,
adding
the
two
suspects
have
been
detained
(拘留).
In
another
case,
a
35-year-old
man
surnamed
Hu
was
also
sentenced
to
imprisonment
in
Daxing
district
after
he
was
found
selling
wild
animals
through
QQ,
a
popular
instant
messaging
tool
in
the
country.
He
was
caught
on
April
14.
The
bureau
highlighted
the
importance
of
protecting
the
wildlife,
noting
Chinese
laws
and
a
new
decision
adopted
by
the
nation’s
top
legislature
(立法机关)
have
also
shown
the
country’s
determination
against
illegal
trade
of
wild
animals.
The
Chinese
Criminal
Law
clarifies
that
those
illegally
hunting,
buying,
selling
or
transporting
wild
animals
on
the
state
protection
list,
endangered
animals
or
the
wildlife-related
products
will
face
an
imprisonment
of
more
than
10
years
and
fines
if
their
behaviors
are
identified
as
“extremely
serious”.
On
Feb
24,
the
Standing
Committee
of
the
National
People’s
Congress,
the
country’s
top
legislative
body,
also
passed
the
decision
that
clearly
states
all
wildlife
on
the
protection
list
of
the
existing
Wild
Animal
Protect
Law
or
other
laws,
and
all
wild
animals,
including
those
artificially
bred
and
farmed,
are
not
permitted
to
be
hunted
or
traded.
With
the
strict
crackdown
campaign
against
illegal
trade
of
wild
animals
on
the
go
in
Beijing,
the
whole
nation
is
attaching
great
importance
to
wild
life
protection.
24.
The
author
mentions
the
cases
at
the
very
beginning

wildlife
protection
B.
show
the
present
situation
of
wildlife
extinction

the
problem
of
illegal
trade
of
wild
animals
D.
introduce
Beijing’s
campaign
against
illegal
wildlife
trade
25.
What
can
we
learn
from
the
first
three
paragraphs?
A.
The
number
of
wild
animals
is
decreasing
sharply.
B.
Hunting
and
trading
wildlife
has
become
a
nationwide
concern.
C.
Effective
actions
have
been
taken
to
prevent
wildlife
from
illegal
trade.
D.
The
strong
action
to
stop
trading
illegal
wild
animals
has
a
long
way
to
go.
26.
According
to
the
Chinese
Criminal
Law,
______
.
A.
serious
actions
of
trading
wild
animals
will
face
fierce
punishment

people
risk
heavy
fines
but
no
imprisonment
for
trade
of
wildlife
C.
the
trade
of
wildlife-related
products
will
receive
no
punishment
D.
those
who
hunt
illegally
may
face
10
years
of
imprisonment
27.
Which
best
describes
the
author’s
tone
in
the
passage?
A.
Determined.
B.
Hopeful.
C.
Unconcerned.
D.
Doubtful.
C
Take
a
look
inside
a
high
school
classroom.
You
will
most
likely
find
a
teacher
at
the
front
of
the
class
and
students
sitting
at
their
desks.
Yet,
look
closer,
and
you
might
notice
a
familiar
scene:
many
of
these
students
are
not
paying
attention.
Instead,
they
are
dozing
off(打盹)or
even
completely
asleep.
Today,
the
majority
of
high
school
students
are
not
getting
enough
sleep.
This
lack(缺乏)
of
sleep
is
a
serious
problem,
especially
as
students
are
doing
more
than
ever
with
their
time.
They
come
to
school
early,
spend
hours
listening
to
teachers
and
taking
tests,
then
run
off
to
practices
and
meetings,
and
come
home
to
be
faced
with
even
more
work.
And
the
homework
load
these
days
is
not
light;
teachers
give
hours
worth
of
homework
each
night.
Most
kids
need
at
least
nine
hours
of
sleep
per
night
in
order
to
function
properly.
Yet
the
period
of
this
nine
hours
shifts
as
a
child
gets
older.
After
puberty(青春期),
the
body’s
internal
clock
changes
so
that
it
is
difficult
for
teens
to
fall
asleep
before
11
p.m.
So
even
if
a
student
falls
asleep
at
eleven,
they
would
need
to
sleep
until
at
least
8
a.m.
to
get
a
full
night’s
sleep.
Considering
the
time
at
which
most
high
schools
in
this
country
begin,
those
nine
hours
are
clearly
being
shortened.
Few
high
schools
start
after
8
a.m.
However,
there
are
schools
that
have
paid
attention
to
this
research
and
pushed
backward
the
start
of
their
school
day.
In
schools
where
the
start
time
is
after
8:30
in
the
morning,
the
teachers
believe
that
there
has
been
a
real
change
in
their
students.
They
note
that
the
students
miss
class
less,
pay
more
attention
in
class,
perform
better
in
class,
and
report
lower
levels
of
depression(沮丧).
The
researchers
of
these
studies
say
that
the
results
are
quite
important
and
that
more
schools
should
consider
pushing
backward
their
start
time
of
their
school
day.
28.
Which
of
the
following
would
the
author
agree
with?
A.
High
school
students
must
go
to
bed
before
10
p.m.
B.
High
schools
should
begin
their
school
day
at
a
later
time.
C.
Most
schools
should
push
forward
the
start
of
their
school
day.
D.
Kids
should
shorten
their
sleep
time
gradually
as
they
grow
older.
29.
The
second
paragraph
mainly
discusses
______.
A.
why
high
school
students
should
get
more
sleep
B.
what’s
life
like
for
high
school
students
at
present
C.
why
high
school
students
feel
sleepy
in
the
classroom
D.
how
to
lighten
high
school
students’
homework
load
30.
The
underlined
word
“shifts”
probably
means
“_______”.
A.
arrives
B.
reduces
C.
increases
D.
changes
31.
How
do
the
teachers
feel
about
the
results
from
pushing
backward
their
school
day?
A.
Disappointed
B.
Satisfied
C.
Puzzled
D.
Surprised
D
NOT
that
long
ago,
the
world
wondered
whether
clean
energy
could
survive
without
government
support.
Now
the
question
is
how
far
it
can
spread.
The
number
of
electric
vehicles.
which
was
about
1
million
in
2015,
last
year
reached
2
million.
In
electricity
generation,
too,
trend
is
with
the
greens.
In
the
first
half
of
this
year
wind,
solar
and
hydro
generated
a
record
35%
of
Germany's
power.
Greater
success
is
breeding
greater
ambition.
California
is
proposing
to
reach
60%
renewable
energy
by
2030:
176
countries
have
clean-energy
goals.
Hawaii,
America's
most
oil-dependent
state,
has
promised
to
be
100%
renewable
by
the
middle
of
the
century.
So
have
48
poor
countries
vulnerable
to
climate
change.
This
week
the
number
of
multinationals
making
a
commitment
to
running
their
operations
on
100%
renewable
energy
rose
to
100.
But
not
every
target
is
helpful.
To
see
why,
consider
that
goal
of
100%
renewable
energy.
It
makes
solving
climate
change
seem
easy.
In
fact,
though
wind
and
solar
can
generate
the
whole
country's
electricity
some
day,
renewables
still
account
for
less
than
8%
of
the
world's
total
power
output.
Moreover,
cleaning
up
electricity
is
only
part
of
the
battle.
Even
though
gas-fired
heating
and
cooking
can
be
at
least
as
big
a
source
of
greenhouse-gas
emissions,
renewable
heating
gets
little
attention.
Transport
policy
is
unpredictable,
too.
Carmakers
may
hit
their
goal
of
annual
sales
of
10
million
electric
vehicles
in
a
decade,
but
battery-powered
road
transport,
shipping
and
aviation
are
dreams.
A
much-quoted
claim
that
America
could
rely
on
wind,
solar
and
hydro
alone
for
its
electricity
has
recently
been
bitterly
criticized
by
a
group
of
respected
academics.
Most
importantly,
a
100%
renewables
target
confuses
means
with
ends.
The
priority
for
the
planet
is
to
stop
net
emissions(净排放量)of
greenhouse
gases,
especially
carbon
dioxide.
Putting
too
much
emphasis
on
wind,
solar
and
other
renewables
may
block
off
better
carbon-reduction
paths.
After
decades
of
investment,
it
is
wrong
to
leave
nuclear
power
off
the
table.
Carbon
emissions
in
Germany
actually
rose
because
it
chose
to
phase
out
nuclear
power
gradually
and
so
burned
more
coal.
New
technologies,
such
as
"direct
air
capture"
systems
designed
to
separate
carbon
dioxide
from
the
air,
may
in
time
prove
vital.
Likewise,
greater
energy
efficiency
could
reduce
emissions
by
even
more
than
using
renewables
would.
32.
It
can
be
inferred
from
the
passage
that
.
A.
the
problem
of
climate
change
will
be
solved
by
using
100%
renewable
energy
B.
with
new
technologies,
Germany
successfully
cut
down
carbon
emissions
C.
it
is
probable
that
ships
will
one
day
be
powered
by
battery
D.
America
is
not
likely
to
completely
rely
on
wind,
solar
and
hydro
energy
one
day
33.
According
to
the
passage,
carbon
emissions
may
be
reduced
by
.
A.
promoting
energy
efficiency
B.
blocking
off
carbon-reduction
paths
C.
using
non-renewable
heating
D.
abandoning
electric
vehicles
34.
The
underlined
phrase
"phase
out"
in
the
last
paragraph
is
closest
in
meaning
to
.
A.
ignore
B.
reduce
C.
use
D.
invent
35.
In
which
column
can
this
passage
be
read?
A.
Fashion
B.
Politics
C.
Economy
D.

world.
A
new
Facebook
app
is
exercising
this
power
to
help
people
get
back
to
work
or
even
land
their
dream
job.___36___
With
an
unemployment
rate
of
9.7
percent
in
January
2010,
there
were
nearly
15
million
Americans
out
of
work
of
whom
6.3
million
had
been
jobless
for
27
or
more
weeks.
It
is
likely
that
these
people
have
used
the
most
traditional
methods
to
find
a
job.
____37____As
you
can
see,
the
name
of
the
app
is
Hire
My
Friend,
not
Hire
Me____38____One
of
the
most
important
parts
of
getting
a
job
is
who
you
know.
Reach
out
to
your
network
of
friends
and
you
will
find
more
opportunities
than
applying
for
a
job
in
a
newspaper
advertisement.
As
a
writer,
I
know
that
networking
is
the
key
to
opening
doors
and
getting
new
opportunities.
When
you
place
the
Hire
My
Friend
app
on
your
Facebook
page,
you
can
present
your
friend's
job-related
facts
and
then
this
information
is
shown
through
a
live
feed
post(实时发布).____39____In
addition
to
the
app
itself,
the
Hire
My
Friend
Facebook
page
has
lots
of
useful
resources
for
those
who
want
to
find
a
job.
One
tab(标签)
has
the
latest
jobs
that
are
being
posted
on
Twitter,
another
powerful
social
media
tool.____40____The
developer
of
the
app
encourages
people
never
to
give
up.
If
you
know
of
someone
who
is
out
of
work,
I
encourage
you
to
try
the
Hire
My
Friend
app.
A.
That
is
Hire
My
Friend.
B.
Therefore,
it
is
designed
for
you
to
help
a
friend
get
a
job.
C.
But
now
it's
time
to
get
creative
and
Hire
My
Friend
can
help
people
do
that.
D.
Besides,
many
other
job
searching
apps
provide
useful
information
for
the
jobless.
E.
Then
your
entire
network
of
Facebook
friends
can
see
what
your
friend
has
to
offer.
F.
Social
media
enable
people
to
communicate
with
each
other
by
sharing
information
online.
G.
Another
tab
has
a
list
of
job
searching
blogs
and
major
job
search
sites
for
the
jobless.

第一节
完形填空
(共20小题,每题1分,满分20分)
I’ve
never
thought
that
a
fundraiser
could
have
had
such
a
huge
influence
on
my
life.
Back
in
5th
grade,
our
school
announced
a
fundraiser
and
each
class
would
get
a
box
to
fill
it
up
with
small
41
.
To
make
my
class
to
come
to
the
first
place
in
the
fundraiser,
I
took
two
fifty-dollar
bills
42
to
school
and
tossed
them
into
the
box.
Two
weeks
later,
my
parents
asked
me
about
the
43
.
They
said
they
had
discovered
the
truth
and
weren’t
44
,
but
I
must
do
something
to
45
it.
My
dad
had
the
perfect
idea
in
mind.
The
day
46
Christmas,
he
took
me
to
St.
John’s
Hospice
and
said
we
were
going
to
be
47
in
the
kitchen,
making
meals
for
the
300-400
48
men
that
came
in
each
day.
As
the
lunch
began,
I
thought
I
could
49
this
by
playing
with
my
new
toys.
But
50
the
mealtime
went
on,
I
found
these
men
were
overjoyed
at
the
51
food
they
were
receiving,
which
I
couldn’t
52
.
I
considered
it
a
fairly
common
winter
meal.
I
had
always
heard
about
giving
to
the
needy,
but
I
never
fully
53
it
until
that
day.
It
was
enlightening
to
see
how
thankful
they
were
for
something
I
thought
was
54
.
I
learned
that
I
didn’t
55
need
all
the
materialistic
things
I
initially
desired.
On
the
drive
home,
my
dad
56
McDonald’s
for
lunch
and
I
immediately
answered
no.
I
knew
that
I
didn’t
57
it.?
That
day
I
came
to
know
how
58
the
feeling
is
to
help
people
in
need.
I
now
return
to
St
John’s
Hospice
every
year,
trying
to
make
a
59
.
This
is
why
I
am
becoming
a
doctor.
I
will
make
a
difference
in
people’s
lives
just
like
my
father
60
on
that
December
26th.

阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。
“I’m
going
to
miss
you
so
much,
Poppy,”
said
the
tall,
thin
teenager.
He
bent
down
to
hug
his
old
friend
goodbye.
He
stood
up,
hugged
his
parents,
and
smiled,
trying
not
to
let
his
emotions
(情绪)

the
better
of
him.
His
parents
were
not
quite
able
to
keep
theirs
under
control.
They
had
driven
their
son
several
hours
out
of
town
to
the
university
where
he
would
soon
be
living
and
studying.
It
was
time
to
say
goodbye
for
now
at
least.
The
family
hugged
and
smiled
through
misty
eyes
and
then
laughed.
The
boy
lifted
the
last
bag
onto
his
shoulder,
and
flashed
a
bright
smile.
“I
guess
this
is
it.”
he
said.
“I’ll
see
you
back
home
in
a
month,
okay?”
His
parents
nodded,
and
they
watched
as
he
walked
out
of
sight
into
the
crowds
of
hundreds
of
students
and
parents.
The
boy’s
mother
turned
to
the
dog,
“Okay,
Poppy,
time
to
go
back
home.”
The
house
seemed
quiet
as
a
tomb
without
the
boy
living
there.
All
that
week,
Poppy
didn’t
seem
interested
in
her
dinner,
her
favorite
toy,
or
even
in
her
daily
walk.
Her
owners
were
sad
too,
but
they
knew
their
son
would
be
back
to
visit,
Poppy
didn’t.
They
offered
the
dog
some
of
her
favorite
peanut
butter
treats.
They
even
let
her
sit
on
the
sofa,
but
the
old
girl
just
wasn’t
her
usual
cheerful
self.
Her
owners
started
to
get
worried,
“What
should
we
do
to
cheer
Poppy
up?”
asked
Dad.
“We’ve
tried
everything.”
“I
have
an
idea,
but
it
might
be
a
little
crazy,”
smiled
Mom.
“Without
anybody
left
in
the
house
but
us,
this
place
could
use
a
bit
of
fun.
Let’s
get
a
little
dog
for
Poppy.”
It
didn’t
take
long
before
they
walked
through
the
front
door
carrying
a
big
box.
Poppy
welcomed
them
home
as
usual,
but
when
she
saw
the
box,
she
stopped.
She
put
her
nose
on
it.
Her

would
you
like
to
stay?
M:
We
are
only
staying
overnight.
We’ll
check
out
tomorrow
morning.
How
much
is
it?
W:
It’s
$68
per
night.
M:
OK.
Do
you
accept
credit
cards?
W:
Yes,
we
do.
Now
your
room
number
is
204.
Here
is
the
key.
M:
Thanks.

W:
Michael,
what
time
is
it?
We
are
going
to
be
late
for
the
party.
M:
It’s
6:15.
Don’t
worry,
Rebecca.
We
will
be
fine.
W:
But
we
have
to
be
at
Sarah’s
house
by
6:30
for
her
surprise
birthday
party.
The
traffic
is
getting
heavier.
M:
Relax.
The
party
begins
at
7:00.
We’re
not
far
from
her
house
now.
But
I
do
need
help
with
finding
a
place
to
park
the
car.
So
Sarah
doesn't
see
it.
Can
you
phone
her
husband
and
ask
him
where
it
is
best
to
park
our
car.
W:
OK.
I’m
calling
him
now.

M:
Hi,
Julia.
It’s
Robert.
How
are
you?
I
didn’t
see
you
in
class
today
and
I
wondered
if
you
were
alright.
W:
Oh,
yes.
I’m
better
now,
but
I
decided
to
take
the
day
off
as
I
woke
up
with
a
slight
cold.
It's
really
so
nice
you
called.
M:
Julia,
I’ve
got
you
a
copy
of
the
main
points
of
the
lecture.
It
was
just
an
introduction
to
French
impressionist
paintings.
W:
I
see.
I
can
read
it
then
before
the
next
class.
M:
Err,
Julia,
I’m
calling
as
I
wonder
if
you
are
free
on
Saturday
night.
My
friend
Max
is
having
a
party
and
I’d
like
to
know
if
you
want
to
go.
W:
That
would
be
really
nice.
I’ll
be
free
then.
What
time
shall
we
go?
M:
How
about
meeting
in
the
Student
Union
Bar
at
7:00?
W:
That’ll
be
fine.
But
shouldn’t
we
buy
a
present
for
Max?
M:
Well,
we
can
stop
at
the
gift
shop
on
the
way.
W:
Fine,
I’ll
see
you
then.

W:
Excuse
me.
I’m
doing
research
on
bus
service.
Could
I
get
you
to
answer
a
few
questions?
It
won’t
take
long.
M:
OK.
I’d
like
to
help.
W:
Thanks.
How
often
do
you
take
a
bus,
every
day,
less
than
once
a
week
or
somewhere
in
between?
M:
I
go
to
school
by
bus.
So
it’s
usually
twice
daily,
Line
Four.
W:
I
see.
Could
you
rate
its
service?
If
1
is
poor,
2
is
fair,
and
3
is
good,
which
number
would
you
choose?
M:
I
would
say
2.
The
drivers
are
nice.
The
buses
are
clean
and
the
seats
are
comfortable,
but
it’s
sometimes
unreliable.
There
should
be
a
bus
every
ten
minutes.
But
yesterday
morning
I
waited
almost
twenty
minutes
before
the
bus
came
and
was
almost
late
for
school.
W:
Oh,
that's
too
bad.
Do
you
have
some
suggestions
for
the
bus
company?
M:
Try
to
have
the
buses
arrive
on
time,
of
course,
and
um,
there
can
be
a
map
on
the
bus.
You
know
some
passengers
cannot
use
the
guidebook
very
well.
W:
Thank
you
very
much
for
your
help.
M:
You
are
welcome.

Hello,
everyone.
It
is
indeed
a
great
pleasure
to
have
this
chance
to
address
such
a
large
audience
this
evening.
I’m
Pierre
Chabrol
from
the
University
of
Marseille.
At
the
moment
I’m
carrying
out
a
research
in
Senegal
for
the
United
Nations
as
a
part
of
project
to
increase
the
world
food
production.
Before
I
get
on
to
what
exactly
we
did
in
our
research,
I
would
like
to
explain
briefly
the
purpose
behind
it.
Quite
simply
my
subject
is
rice.
As
you
all
know,
rice
is
the
main
food
for
millions
of
people
in
the
world.
So
if
the
rice
crops
fail,
millions
of
people
starve
and
die.
And
they
do
fail,
very
often
through
disease.
Now
what
my
colleagues
and
I
have
been
doing
out
in
the
field
in
Senegal
as
well
as
in
the
university
laboratories
is
to
try
to
produce
a
disease-resisting
variety
of
rice,
a
particular
kind
of
rice,
which
will
resist
disease,
in
other
words,
a
stronger
type
of
rice.
