B
It
was
the
first
family
ski
weekend
in
Colorado.
I
was
tired
and
considered
quitting
it.
But
I
figured
I
should
push
through—if
I
skipped
out,
then
the
kids
would
think
that
they
could
too.
After
dropping
the
kids
at
ski
school,
my
husband
and
I
charted
our
course
on
the
mountain
map.
Then,
I
pushed
off
and
three
minutes
later,
my
right
ski
inverted
(倒转的)
and
took
my
leg
with
it...
I
still
remember
hearing
the
crack.
I
was
taken
down
the
mountain
in
an
ambulance.
After
surgery
I
woke
up
with
my
leg
bandaged
beyond
recognition,
my
mouth
dry
and
my
mind
confused.
I
wouldn’t
walk
for
three
months,
optimistically.
I
couldn’t
drive.
I
couldn’t
navigate
the
steps
in
our
house.
I
couldn’t
even
shower
on
my
own.
I
turned
to
Adam
and
asked,
“How
are
we
going
to
manage?”
“We’ll
figure
it
out,”
Adam
said.
I
nodded,
because
what
was
the
alternative?
But
nowhere
in
any
of
my
cells
did
I
believe
him.
Not
even
a
tiny
bit.
But
something
unexpected
happened:
my
children
learned
to
be
both
autonomous
and
empathetic.
They
ran
up
the
steps
each
day
after
school
to
check
on
me.
Without
the
luxury
of
my
packing
their
lunches
or
ensuring
that
their
homework
was
filed,
they
learned
to
do
it
themselves.
And
my
husband
too!
The
man
previously
had
to
be
told
what
to
do
and
when
to
do
it,
and
sometimes
why
too.
When
I
went
down
on
the
mountain,
he
attended
to
my
every
need,
as
he
said
to
me
once,
“After
all
the
years
that
you
did
so
much,
it
was
my
turn
to
show
up.”
Sometimes—many
times—both
in
life
and
in
marriage
you
hope
for
the
sunset
overlooking
the
ocean
off
a
deserted
beach,
but
what
you
get
is
a
drive
to
physical
therapy.
That’s
OK.
When
I
went
down
on
that
mountain,
I
worried
that
my
injury
would
upend
everything.
It
turns
out
that
it
did.

Different
contexts
affect
food
production,
processing,
trade,
marketing
and
consumption.
As
a
result
of
this,
the
food
availability,
accessibility,
and
affordability—
as
well
as
consumers’
dietary
behaviour
and
nutritional
status—vary.
One
possible
picture
is
presented
here
to
provide
an
idea
on
how
COVID-19
might
impact
the
global
food
system.
Consumer
demand
plays
a
crucial
role
in
food
production
and
their
demands
depend
on
purchasing
power
and
preference.
Because
of
the
lockdown,
there
is
no
work
for
many
people.
As
a
result,
they
do
not
have
enough
money
to
buy
adequate
food
for
their
families.
The
closure
of
restaurants,
school
meals
and
tourism
businesses
may
reduce
the
demand
for
fresh
food.
People
buy
frozen.
dried
and
canned
food
with
longer
shelf
life.
Energy-dense,
less
nutritious
foods
are
often
more
affordable
than
fresh
and
nutritious
one.
According
to
the
Centers
for
Disease
Control
and
Prevention,
COVID-19
is
not
likely
to
be
transmitted
through
food.
However,
workers
can
get
infected
by
each
other
if
they
do
not
maintain
social
distance
properly.
Shortage
of
labor
can
not
only
hamper
food
production,
but
also
the
processing
of
food.
Around
the
world,
millions
of
people
depend
on
international
trade
either
for
then-
livelihood
or
food
security.
The
virus
outbreak
might
slow
down
global
trade
and
marketing
of
food.
As
a
result,
countries
depending
on
imported
food
can
face
difficulties.
The
closure
of
ports
and
other
supply
restrictions
will
hamper
food
supply.
The
price
of
transferring
food
within
and
outside
of
the
country
may
get
more
expensive.
It
means
import
may
get
more
expensive
and
export
may
bring
less
money.
On
the
other
hand,
the
restriction
in
transport
and
supply
can
be
the
cause
of
food
loss
particularly
for
fresh
fruits
and
vegetables.
Companies
may
face
difficulties
to
import
the
ingredients
for
different
products
which
may
disturb
the
production.
8.
The
passage
is
mainly
about
________.
A.
why
the
food
system
is
easily
affected
by
COVID-19
B.
how
the
world
may
be
affected
by
COVID-19
outbreak
C.
what
effect
COVID-19
may
have
on
the
food
system
D.
what
contexts
affect
food
production
9.
How
is
consumers’
dietary
behavior
changing
now?
A.
They
are
eating
more
fresh
food.
B.
Energy-dense
food
is
not
popular
with
them.
C.
They
buy
more
less
nutritious
food.
D.
A
balanced
diet
provides
adequate
nutrition
for
them.
10.
Paragraph
3
is
related
to
food
________.
A.
gathering
B.
trade
C.
market
D.
processing
11.
Which
of
the
following
leads
to
the
shortage
of
fresh
food?
A.
Growing
concern
for
food
security.
B.
Inadequate
ingredients.
C.
Increased
processed
food.
D.
Limited
transport
and
supply.
D
Thirst
is
one
of
the
fundamental
urges
a
living
thing
can
have.
After
all,
water
is
the
solvent
that
we
rely
on
to
transport
essential
molecules
(分子)
around
our
bodies
to
keep
us
alive.
So
it
is
perhaps
a
bit
suspicious
that
water
doesn’t
seem
to
have
any
flavor.
Shouldn’t
we
have
evolved
a
taste
for
this
essential
substance?
Well,
perhaps
we
have.
Several
new
studies
seem
to
indicate
not
only
that
water
does,
in
fact,
have
a
taste,
but
that
we
might
have
taste
buds
(味蕾)
that
respond
directly
to
it.
We
now
know
that
there
are
at
least
five
basic
tastes:
salty,
sour,
sweet,
bitter
and
umami.
If
there
is
a
sixth
taste
for
water,
then
we
should
be
able
to
see
evidence
for
it
somewhere
in
the
mouth
or
tongue.
Yuki
Oka
and
his
colleagues
have
sought
to
solve
the
issue
once
and
for
all.
They
have
thought
up
an
experiment
that
seeks
to
identify
any
water
sensing
taste
receptor
cells
(TRCs)
on
the
tongues
of
lab
mice.
The
team
first
used
a
technique
known
as
genetic
knockout
to
silence
different
types
of
TRCs,
in
order
to
remove
the
possibility
that
those
cells
might
accidentally
discover
some
other
taste
within
the
water
besides
the
water
itself.
They
then
flushed
the
rodents’
mouths
with
water
to
see
if
any
cells
were
still
responding.
It
turned
out
that
the
acid-sensing
sour
TRCs
were
still
firing
vigorously
indicating
these
cells
might
have
a
double
purpose,
capable
of
distinguishing
water
or
acidic
fluids.
So
if
you
are
on
the
side
of
the
debate
that
argues
that
water
is
flavorless,
you
might
still
be
correct.
But
water
isn’t
senseless.
At
least
it
doesn’t
appear
that
way
according
to
this
research.
The
study
also
opens
up
the
possibility
that
our
tongues
and
taste
buds
might
be
doing
more
than
merely
providing
us
with
a
sense
of
taste.
If
this
study
doesn’t
prove
that
water
is
the
sixth
flavor,
it
might
nonetheless
be
the
first
evidence
of
a
whole
other
sense
entirely:
a
water
sense.
12
Why
is
the
question
asked
in
the
first
paragraph?
A.
To
introduce
the
main
topic.
B.
To
show
ordinary
people’s
puzzlement.
C.
To
express
the
writer’s
curiosity.
D.
To
explain
the
reason
for
suspicion.
13.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“rodents”
refer
to?
A.
Researchers.
B.
Yuki
oka’s
colleagues.
C.
Thirsty
people
D.
Mice.
14.
It
can
be
inferred
that
genetic
knockout
is
a
technique
________.
A.
to
create
some
cells
B.
to
remove
some
cells
C.
to
identify
some
certain
cells
D.
to
disable
some
cells
15.
What
can
be
leaned
from
the
experiment?
A.
Water
is
flavors
without
doubt.
B.
Water
is
the
sixth
flavor.
C.
Water
can
be
sensed.
D.
Water
can
attack
TRCs.
第二节(共5小题,每小题2.5分,满分12.5分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Are
men
able
to
dance?
Well,
if
I
am
an
example,
then
no—I
have
two
left
feet
and
taking
to
the
dance
floor
just
fills
me
with
dread.
But
of
course,
we
know
that
most
of
us
have
the
potential
to
throw
some
shapes,
_____16_____
If
you’ve
ever
watched
fascinating
dance
shows
on
TV,
you’ll
know
that
there
are
men
who
have
great
dexterity
and
fancy
footwork
on
the
dance
floor.
These
professional
dancers
have
spent
years
learning
and
performing
ballroom
dances
such
as
the
waltz,
foxtrot
and
tango.
____17____
According
to
a
survey,
over
three
quarters
of
British
men
have
never
or
rarely
danced.
It
found
that
over
a
third
of
men
surveyed
wouldn’t
show
off
their
skills
on
the
dance
floor
because
they
were
too
embarrassed.
And
ten
percent
said
what
put
them
off
was
fear
of
being
the
center
of
attention,
being
made
fun
of,
or
being
judged.
Women
may
say
we
have
to
relax,
get
on
our
feet
and
just
let
ourselves
go!
_____18_____
But
what
helps
is
a
crowded
dance
floor
where
there
is
safety
in
numbers.
And
according
to
the
survey,
_____19_____
One
man
questioned
said,
“I
don’t
think
I’m
very
good
at
it
and
therefore
need
some
Dutch
courage
to
get
me
on
the
floor.”
____20____
We
need
training,
we
need
to
practice
and
we
need
to
lose
our
inhibitions.
Gareth
Dew,
who
took
part
in
the
survey,
says,
“I
think
to
be
able
to
dance
you
need
to
be
able
to
let
loose,
be
aware
of
your
body
and
generally
be
more
comfortable
in
yourself.”
Would
you
agree?
A.
as
long
as
we
are
smart
enough.
B.
men
always
need
a
great
dancing
partner.
C.
so
what
is
it
that’s
stopping
us?
D.
many
men
need
a
drink.
E.
But
for
a
majority
of
us
men,
we
are
not
willing
to
participate.
F.
Easier
said
than
done.
G.
So
let’s
face
it,
men
just
need
help.

(满分25分)
47.
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。续写的词数应为150左右。
Jenny
was
the
only
child
in
her
home.
She
had
a
quarrel
with
her
mother
that
afternoon
and
she
ran
out
of
the
house
angrily.
She
couldn’t
help
weeping
sorrowfully
when
she
thought
of
the
scolding
from
her
mother.
Having
wandered
aimlessly
in
the
street
for
hours,
she
felt
a
little
hungry
and
wished
for
something
to
eat,
but
it
was
not
possible
for
her,
since
she
had
nothing
with
her.
She
stood
beside
a
stand
for
a
while,
watching
the
middle-aged
seller
busy
doing
his
business.
However,
with
no
money
in
hand,
she
sighed
and
had
to
leave.
The
seller
behind
the
stand
noticed
the
young
girl
and
asked,
“Hey,
girl,
you
want
to
have
the
noodles?”
“Oh,
yes...but
I
don’t
have
money
on
me…”
she
replied.
“That’s
nothing.
I’ll
treat
you
today,”
said
the
man.
“Come
in.”
The
seller
brought
her
a
bowl
of
noodles,
whose
smell
was
so
attractive.
As
she
was
eating,
Jenny
cried
silently.
“What
is
it?”
asked
the
man
kindly.
“Nothing,
actually
I
was
just
touched
by
your
kindness!”
said
Jenny
as
she
wiped
her
tears.
“Even
a
stranger
on
the
street
will
give
me
a
bowl
of
noodles,
while
my
mother
drove
me
out
of
the
house.
She
showed
no
care
for
me.
She
is
so
merciless
compared
to
a
stranger!!”
Hearing
the
words,
the
seller
smiled,
“Girl,
do
you
really
think
so?
I
only
gave
you
a
bowl
of
noodles
and
you
thanked
me
a
lot.
But
it
is
your
mother
who
has
raised
you
since
you
were
a
baby.
Can
you
number
the
times
she
cooked
for
you?
Have
you
expressed
your
gratitude
to
her?”
Jenny
sat
there,
speechless
and
numb
with
shock;
she
remembered
mother’s
familiar
face
and
weathered
hands.
“Why
did
I
not
think
of
that?
A
bowl
of
noodles
from
a
stranger
made
me
feel
indebted,
but
I
have
never
thanked
my
mum
for
what
she
has
done
for
me.”
On
the
way
home,
Jenny
made
up
her
mind
to
make
an
apology
to
her
mother
for
her
rudeness
as
soon
as
she
arrived
home.
注意:
1)所续写短文的词数应为150左右;
2)续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好.

这是一篇记叙文。主要讲述了以前总是在照顾家人的作者,一次意外中摔断了腿。一开始,作者很担心,根本不相信丈夫说能够解决,后来却发现孩子和丈夫都能把自己的生活料理得很好,丈夫也说现在该轮到自己来照顾妻子了。这让作者觉得“塞翁失马,焉知非福”。
【4题详解】
推理判断题。根据第三段中“Without
the
luxury
of
my
packing
their
lunches
or
ensuring
that
their
homework
was
filed,
they
learned
to
do
it
themselves.(没有了我为他们打包午餐或确保他们的作业已经放好,他们学会了自己做)”以及第四段中“The
man
previously
had
to
be
told
what
to
do
and
when
to
do
it,
and
sometimes
why
too.(以前,这个男人必须被告知做什么,什么时候做,有时还得告诉他为什么做)”由此可推知,意外发生前的母亲总是在尽心尽力地照顾家庭。故选D。
【5题详解】
推理判断题。根据第二段中“I
turned
to
Adam
and
asked,
‘How
are
we
going

‘We’ll

Adam
said.

【6题详解】
推理判断题。根据第三段中“But
something
unexpected
happened:
my
children
learned
to
be
both
autonomous
and
empathetic.(但意想不到的事情发生了:我的孩子们学会了自主和同理心)”以及第四段中“When

【7题详解】
主旨大意题。根据最后一段“Sometimes—many

【解析】
【分析】
本文是说明文。不同的环境影响食品生产、加工、贸易、营销和消费。因此,食物的可获得性、可承受性以及消费者的膳食与营养状况不同。本文讲述了新冠病毒对食物体系的影响。
【8题详解】
主旨大意题。根据第一段“One
possible
picture
is
presented
here
to
provide
an
idea
on
how
COVID-19
might
impact
the
global
food
system.”(这里提供一幅可能的图景,以说明新型冠状病毒可能如何影响全球粮食系统)可知,本文主要讲述了新冠病毒对食物体系有什么影响。故选C。
【9题详解】
推理判断题。根据第二段“People
buy
frozen,
dried
and
canned
food
with
longer
shelf
life.
Energy-dense,
less
nutritious
foods
are
often
more
affordable
than
fresh
and
nutritious
one.”(人们购买冷冻,保质期较长的干燥和罐装食品。高能量、低营养的食物往往比新鲜、有营养的食物更便宜
)可知,在新冠病毒爆发时,消费者的膳食与营养状况正在改变,人们会买更多缺少营养的食物。故选C。
【10题详解】
推理判断题。根据第三段“However,
workers
can
get
infected
by
each
other
if
they
do
not
maintain
social
distance
properly.
Shortage
of
labor
can
not
only
hamper
food
production,
but
also
the
processing
of
food.”(但是,如果不适当地保持社会距离,员工之间也会感染。劳动力短缺不仅影响食品生产,还影响食品加工)可知,第三段和食物加工有关。故选D。
【11题详解】
细节理解题。根据最后一段“On
the
other
hand,
the
restriction
in
transport
and
supply
can
be
the
cause
of
food
loss
particularly
for
fresh
fruits
and
vegetables.
”(另一方面,运输和供应方面的限制可能是粮食损失的原因,特别是新鲜水果和蔬菜)可知,有限的运输和供应造成新鲜食物的短缺。故选D。
【点睛】
D
Thirst
is
one
of
the
fundamental
urges
a
living
thing
can
have.
After
all,
water
is
the
solvent
that
we
rely
on
to
transport
essential
molecules
(分子)
around
our
bodies
to
keep
us
alive.
So
it
is
perhaps
a
bit
suspicious
that
water
doesn’t
seem
to
have
any
flavor.
Shouldn’t
we
have
evolved
a
taste
for
this
essential
substance?
Well,
perhaps
we
have.
Several
new
studies
seem
to
indicate
not
only
that
water
does,
in
fact,
have
a
taste,
but
that
we
might
have
taste
buds
(味蕾)
that
respond
directly
to
it.
We
now
know
that
there
are
at
least
five
basic
tastes:
salty,
sour,
sweet,
bitter
and
umami.
If
there
is
a
sixth
taste
for
water,
then
we
should
be
able
to
see
evidence
for
it
somewhere
in
the
mouth
or
tongue.
Yuki
Oka
and
his
colleagues
have
sought
to
solve
the
issue
once
and
for
all.
They
have
thought
up
an
experiment
that
seeks
to
identify
any
water
sensing
taste
receptor
cells
(TRCs)
on
the
tongues
of
lab
mice.
The
team
first
used
a
technique
known
as
genetic
knockout
to
silence
different
types
of
TRCs,
in
order
to
remove
the
possibility
that
those
cells
might
accidentally
discover
some
other
taste
within
the
water
besides
the
water
itself.
They
then
flushed
the
rodents’
mouths
with
water
to
see
if
any
cells
were
still
responding.
It
turned
out
that
the
acid-sensing
sour
TRCs
were
still
firing
vigorously
indicating
these
cells
might
have
a
double
purpose,
capable
of
distinguishing
water
or
acidic
fluids.
So
if
you
are
on
the
side
of
the
debate
that
argues
that
water
is
flavorless,
you
might
still
be
correct.
But
water
isn’t
senseless.
At
least
it
doesn’t
appear
that
way
according
to
this
research.
The
study
also
opens
up
the
possibility
that
our
tongues
and
taste
buds
might
be
doing
more
than
merely
providing
us
with
a
sense
of
taste.
If
this
study
doesn’t
prove
that
water
is
the
sixth
flavor,
it
might
nonetheless
be
the
first
evidence
of
a
whole
other
sense
entirely:
a
water
sense.
12.
Why
is
the
question
asked
in
the
first
paragraph?
A.
To
introduce
the
main
topic.
B.
To
show
ordinary
people’s
puzzlement.
C.
To
express
the
writer’s
curiosity.
D.
To
explain
the
reason
for
suspicion.
13.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“rodents”
refer
to?
A.
Researchers.
B.
Yuki
oka’s
colleagues.
C.
Thirsty
people
D.
Mice.
14.
It
can
be
inferred
that
genetic
knockout
is
a
technique
________.
A.
to
create
some
cells
B.
to
remove
some
cells
C.
to
identify
some
certain
cells
D.
to
disable
some
cells
15.
What
can
be
leaned
from
the
experiment?
A.
Water
is
flavors
without
doubt.
B.
Water
is
the
sixth
flavor.
C.
Water
can
be
sensed.

【18题详解】
根据上文“Women
may
say
we
have
to
relax,
get
on
our
feet
and
just
let
ourselves
go!(女人可能会说我们必须放松,站起来,释放自我!)”以及后文“But
what
helps
is
a
crowded
dance
floor
where
there
is
safety
in
numbers.(但有帮助的是一个拥挤的舞池,在那里人多安全)”可知,上文提到女人说男人应该释放自我,去跳舞,后文则提到男人要借助拥挤的舞池来获得安全感,说明男人要跳舞这件事,说起来容易做起来却难。故F选项“说起来容易做起来难”符合语境,故选F。
【19题详解】
根据上文“And
according
to
the
survey
(根据调查)”以及后文“One
man
questioned
said,
‘I

it
and
therefore
need
some
Dutch
courage
to
get
me
on
the
floor.’(一名受访男性说:“我不认为我很擅长这个,因此需要一些勇气来让我上场。”)”可知,本句是在说明调查内容,指出男人跳舞需要一些东西来给自己提供勇气,故D选项“许多男人需要喝点东西”符合语境,故选D。
【20题详解】
根据后文“We
need
training,
we
need
to
practice
and
we
need
to
lose
our
inhibitions.(我们需要训练,我们需要练习,我们需要摆脱束缚)”可知,后文列举了男人跳舞需要的各种帮助,后文中we
need可对应到G选项中men
just
need。故G选项“所以让我们面对现实吧,男人只是需要帮助”符合语境,故选G。

the
pronoun

used,故填used。

factor,代指物,定语从句用介词upon加关系代词引导,所以用upon
which,故填which。

第二节
(满分25分)
47.
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。续写的词数应为150左右。
Jenny
was
the
only
child
in
her
home.
She
had
a
quarrel
with
her
mother
that
afternoon
and
she
ran
out
of
the
house
angrily.
She
couldn’t
help
weeping
sorrowfully
when
she
thought
of
the
scolding
from
her
mother.
Having
wandered
aimlessly
in
the
street
for
hours
she
felt
a
little
hungry
and
wished
for
something
to
eat,
but
it
was
not
possible
for
her,
since
she
had
nothing
with
her.
She
stood
beside
a
stand
for
a
while,
watching
the
middle-aged
seller
busy
doing
his
business.
However,
with
no
money
in
hand,
she
sighed
and
had
to
leave.
The
seller
behind
the
stand
noticed
the
young
girl
and
asked,
“Hey,
girl,
you
want
to
have
the
noodles?”
“Oh,
yes...but
I
don’t
have
money
on
me…”
she
replied.
“That’s
nothing.
I’ll
treat
you
today,”
said
the
man.
“Come
in.”
The
seller
brought
her
a
bowl
of
noodles,
whose
smell
was
so
attractive.
As
she
was
eating,
Jenny
cried
silently.
“What
is
it?”
asked
the
man
kindly.
“Nothing,
actually
I
was
just
touched
by
your
kindness!”
said
Jenny
as
she
wiped
her
tears.
“Even
a
stranger
on
the
street
will
give
me
a
bowl
of
noodles,
while
my
mother
drove
me
out
of
the
house.
She
showed
no
care
for
me.
She
is
so
merciless
compared
to
a
stranger!!”
Hearing
the
words,
the
seller
smiled,
“Girl,
do
you
really
think
so?
I
only
gave
you
a
bowl
of
noodles
and
you
thanked
me
a
lot.
But
it
is
your
mother
who
has
raised
you
since
you
were
a
baby.
Can
you
number
the
times
she
cooked
for
you?
Have
you
expressed
your
gratitude
to
her?”
Jenny
sat
there,
speechless
and
numb
with
shock;
she
remembered
mother’s
familiar
face
and
weathered
hands.
“Why
did
I
not
think
of
that?
A
bowl
of
noodles
from
a
stranger
made
me
feel
indebted,
but
I
have
never
thanked
my
mum
for
what
she
has
done
for
me.”
On
the
way
home,
Jenny
made
up
her
mind
to
make
an
apology
to
her
mother
for
her
rudeness
as
soon
as
she
arrived
home.
注意:
1)所续写短文的词数应为150左右;
