Elyse
Fox
said
no
one
in
her
family
spoke
about
mental
health
while
she
was
growing
up.
As
a
result,
Elyse,
27,
said
she
didn’t
really
know
how
to
talk
about
what
she
was
feeling.
But
now,
Elyse
understands
that
her
depression(抑郁)
is
not
something
to
be
embarrassed
about

it’s
just
a
small
part
of
her
overall
health
that
she
has
to
take
care
of.
In
order
to
spread
that
message,
Elyse
started
@sadgirlsclubpbg,
a
real-life
club
that
gathers
girls
together
to
let
them
know
that
if
they’re
struggling
with
their
mental
health,
they
aren’t
alone.
That
way,
Elyse
said,
girls
who
understand
that
others
are
going
through
can
start
to
break
down
the
stigma(耻辱)
surrounding
mental
health,
showing
that
it’s
nothing
to
be
ashamed
of.
At
the
same
time,
they’re
supporting
one
another
and
sharing
resources.
While
the
group
meets
in
person,
Elyse
keeps
the
community
going
on
Instagram,
a
social
media
platform.
We
talked
to
Elyse
about
how
social
media
can
create
a
supportive
community
for
people
with
mental
illness.
Teen
vogue:
Why
did
you
start
Sad
Girls
Club?
Elyse
Fox:
I
started
it
in
February
of
this
year

after
I
put
out
a
film
about
my
mental
illnesses
in
December.
I
removed
my
mask
and
said,
‘Hey,
I’m
not
as
happy
as
I
seem,
I’m
depressed
and
here’s
my
story.’
That’s
when
I
received
a
wave
of
girls
saying,
‘I
feel
the
same
way.’
So
I
wanted
to
create
something
for
girls
to
connect
in
real
life
and
in
person
to
get
rid
of
the
stigma
around
mental
illness.
TV:
Why
is
it
important
to
talk
about
mental
health?
EF:
Because
the
conversation
needed
to
happen
and
it
needed
to
happen
now.
Because
one
in
five
Americans
is
going
through
some
type
of
mental
illness.
If
you
aren’t
personally,
you
know
someone
who
is.
It’s
out
of
people’s
control.
TV:
Do
you
think
social
media
help
with
mental
illness?
EF:
Absolutely.
I
think
with
social
media
it’s
so
easy
to
be
honest.
You
being
your
true
self
and
removing
a
mask
and
being
honest
with
yourself
and
followers
is
the
best
way
to
heal(治愈).
People
are
connected
with
realness.
You
can
reach
so
many
people
from
different
countries,
different
ages.
TV:
What
do
you
want
young
women
of
color
to
know
about
mental
health?
EF:
I
want
everyone
to
know
about
mental
health,
that
it
isn’t
something
that
is
visible.
It
doesn’t
have
a
face,
no
age
range.
It’s
something
we
can
cope
with
-
and
it’s
best
to
do
it
together
rather
than
alone.
TV:
Anything
you’d
like
to
add?
EF:
I’d
add
that
anyone
would
encourage
women
or
anyone
going
through
anything
to
find
a
friend
or
to
speak
out
and
seek
help.
Even
if
it’s
a
simple
conversation
with
a
teacher.
As
a
person
who
kept
everything
inside
for
over
20
years,
it’s
extremely
helpful.
3.
What
can
we
infer
from
the
first
paragraph?

Elyse’s
family
members
don’t
care
about
her
mental
problems.

Elyse
didn’t

until
she
grew

had
to
the
members.
D.
The

organized
online
activities
for
girls
with
mental
problems.
4.
What
is
the
main
reason
for
many
girls
sending
messages
to
Elyse
after
watching
her
film?
A.
To
get
in
touch
with
her
in
real
life.

ask
her
to
start
a
club
for
girls
like
them.

To
give

some
advice
to
solve
the
problem.
D.
To
tell
her
that
they
share
the
same
problem
with
her.
5.
Which
of
the
following
about

Depression
with
the
materialism
of
our

English
romantic
poet
William
Wordsworth
summed
up
how
dispiriting
(令人
消沉的)
this
was
back
in
1802,
at
the
beginning
of
the
industrial
age,
when
he
wrote:
“Getting
and
spending,
we
lay
waste
our
powers”.
His
preference
was
to
go
back
to
nature.
Closer
to
our
own
times,
the
hippies
(嬉皮士)
of
the
1960s
also
sought
to
‘‘drop
out”
of
modern
life.
And
for
many
minimalists,
their
key
is
to
unload.
Without
objects,
they
“believe
people
are
forced
more
and
more
into
the
present
moment
and
that’s
where
life
happens,”
wrote
Stuff.
But
does
simplicity
ever
feel
like
a
sacrifice
(牺牲)?
“It’s
eliminating
the
excess—unused
items
unnecessary
purchases—from
your
life.
Well,
I
may
have
fewer
possessions,
but
I
have
more
space

Minimalism
is
making
room
for
what
matters
most,”
said
Jay.
And
“the
real
questions”,
according
to
Duane
Elgin,
US
social
scientist,
are
“what
do
you
care
about?”
and
“What
do
you
value?”
He
told
CNN:
“It’s
important
for
people
to
realize
minimalism
isn’t
simply
the
amount
of
stuff
we
consume.
It’s
about
our
families,
our
work,
our
connection
with
the
larger
world,
our
spiritual
dimension.
It’s
about
how
we
touch
the
whole
world.
It’s
a
way
of
life.”

【解析】
本文是一篇议论文。主要讨论了一种生活方式:极简主义,同时介绍了极简主义者追求的主要是精神层面的东西,同时他们也很有环保精神。在现实生活中很多人追求物质财富,反而失去了很多,极简主义让人们反思他们生活中真正重要的东西。
【6题详解】
主旨大意题。文章第一段通过介绍Francine
Jay的书引出文章讨论的主题:极简主义。这是一种追求简单生活的方式,文章指出这种生活方式越来越流行,并指出背后的原因。故该篇文章的写作目的是探讨极简主义的发展趋势。A项正确。
【7题详解】
细节理解题。根据文章第二段“Thanks
to
a
travel﹣inspired
revelation
(启发),
Jay
has
been
happily
living
a
simpler
life
for
12
years.”"I
always
packed
as
lightly
as
possible,
and
found
it
exciting
to
get
by
with
just
a
small
carry﹣on
bag,"
she
told
CNN.
"I
thought
if
it
feels
this
great
to
travel
lightly,
how
amazing
would
it
be
to
live
this
way?
I
wanted
to
have
that
same
feeling
of
freedom
in
my
everyday
life."可知,一次轻装旅游的经历让Francine
Jay喜欢上这种极简生活,并一直这样生活下去。故C项正确。
【8题详解】
细节理解题。根据第三段“Jay
decided
to
get
rid
of
all
her
excess
(额外的)
possessions
and
live
with
just
the
essentials
(必需品).
"I
wanted
to
spend
my
time
and
energy
on
experiences,
rather
than
things."”可知,极简主义者追求的不是物质,在意的是自己的生活经历,更多的是精神方面的内容。在根据第四段第四句“Minimalists
are
typically
progressive
and
concerned
about
the
environment”可知,极简主义者关心环境;故B项正确。
9题详解】
词义猜测题。根据文章第三段描述可知,极简主义者想要的是简单的生活,想要的是生活的必需品,多余的东西都要清理掉,结合后面所列举例子:﹣unused
items,
unnecessary
purchases。可以猜测eliminate是“清除“的意思,故选A。
【10题详解】
推理判断题。根据倒数第二段"the
real
questions",
according
to
Duane
Elgin,"what
do
you
care
about?"
and
"What
do
you
value?"(“真正的问题”,按照Duane
Elgin
所说的,“你在乎什么?”和“你看重什么?”)可推知,Duane
Elgin希望极简主义能让人们能够反思他们生活中真正重要的东西。故选C。

【解析】
这是一篇说明文。短文介绍了最近,食品服务行业出现了降低脂肪含量和减少盐的趋势,这产生了一些意想不到的副作用。文章告诉我们要保持健康,就不要走极端,要吃适量的盐和含脂肪的食物。
【36题详解】
考查介词。句意:这一趋势最初始于医学界作为一种对抗心脏病的方法。as表示“作为,以……
身份”,故填as。
【37题详解】
考查名词的单复数。分析语境可知,作者表达的意思是“一些不为人知的副作用”,根据前文的some可知,所以要用effect的复数形式。故填effects。
【38题详解】
考查不定式。句意:他们被要求加工食物。require表示“要求”,require
sb.
to
do
sth.表示“要求某人做某事”,被动形式为“sb.
be
required
to
do
sth.”(某人被要求做某事)。故填to
process。
【39题详解】
考查被动语态。句意:当脂肪和盐分从食物中被去掉。分析可知fat,salt和move之间是被动关系,脂肪和盐分是两种东西,且是被人们去掉,所以用被动语态。故填are
removed。
【40题详解】
考查固定短语。句意:结果,人们将吃更多的食物去弥补损失的东西。固定短语as
a
result表示“结果”。故填a。
【41题详解】
考查比较级。句意:更糟糕的是,人们所吃快餐的数量增加了。even修饰比较级。故填worse。
42题详解】
考查主谓一致。句意:快餐食物中满是脂肪和盐。fast
food的意思是“快餐”,表示一类食物,为不可数名词,谓语动词用单数形式。故填is。
【43题详解】
考查动名词。句意:通过吃更多的快餐,人们将在饮食中摄入超过需求量的脂肪和盐。by为介词,后接名词、动名词作宾语,故填eating。
【44题详解】
考查形容词。句意:然而,注意不要走极端。分析语境可知,be后面应该用形容词作表语,故填careful。
【45题详解】
考查非限制性定语从句。句意:很可能摄入过多的脂肪和盐,那对健康没有好处。分析可知,___is
not
good
for
the
health为非限制性定语从句,先行词是前面的整句话,在定语从句中作主语。所以用关系代词which。故填which。

为了帮助中学生健康成长,某中学英文报开辟了“HEART-TO-HEART”专栏。假设你是该栏目编辑Jamie,收到一封署名为Worried的求助信。信中该同学向你诉说了自己的困扰:近日容易发脾气,使正常的学习和生活受到了影响。请用英文给该同学写一封回信。
内容要点如下:1.表示理解并给予安慰;
2.提出建议并说明理由。
注意:1.词数100左右;
2.信中不能出现与本人相关的信息;
3.信的开头与结尾已为你拟好,不计入总词数。参考词汇:loseone’stemper发脾气
【答案】Hi
Worried,
I'm
sorry
to
know
that
you're
having
such
a
bad
time
at
the
moment.
The
truth
is
that
everyone
will
have
one
of
those
periods
when
things
seem
to
be
going
wrong.
I
quite
understand
how
you
are
feeling
now
and
there
is
no
need
to
worry
about
it
so
much.
The
important
thing
is
to
learn
to
control
your
temper
so
that
you
may
not
do
or
say
anything
you’ll
regret.
Here
are
three
useful
tips.
First
of
all,
talk
to
someone
you
trust
about
the
trouble
you’re
faced
with,
which
is
a
good
way
of
letting
your
anger
out
without
hurting
others
or
yourself.
Second,
go
outdoors
and
play
team
games
with
your
friends
as
physical
exercise
is
an
effective
way
to
get
rid
of
anger.
Last
but
not
least,
remain
optimistic
about
your
future.
Having
a
positive
attitude
towards
life
can
be
helpful
in
lifting
your
spirits.
I
hope
you'll
soon
become
calmer
and
better.
Yours,
Jamie

B
Elyse
Fox
said
no
one
in
her
family
spoke
about
mental
health
while
she
was
growing
up.
As
a
result,
Elyse,
27,
said
she
didn’t
really
know
how
to
talk
about
what
she
was
feeling.
But
now,
Elyse
understands
that
her
depression(抑郁)
is
not
something
to
be
embarrassed
about

it’s
just
a
small
part
of
her
overall
health
that
she
has
to
take
care
of.
In
order
to
spread
that
message,
Elyse
started
@sadgirlsclubpbg,
a
real-life
club
that
gathers
girls
together
to
let
them
know
that
if
they’re
struggling
with
their
mental
health,
they
aren’t
alone.
That
way,
Elyse
said,
girls
who
understand
that
others
are
going
through
can
start
to
break
down
the
stigma(耻辱)
surrounding
mental
health,
showing
that
it’s
nothing
to
be
ashamed
of.
At
the
same
time,
they’re
supporting
one
another
and
sharing
resources.
While
the
group
meets
in
person,
Elyse
keeps
the
community
going
on
Instagram,
a
social
media
platform.
We
talked
to
Elyse
about
how
social
media
can
create
a
supportive
community
for
people
with
mental
illness.
Teen
vogue:
Why
did
you
start
Sad
Girls
Club?
Elyse
Fox:
I
started
it
in
February
of
this
year

after
I
put
out
a
film
about
my
mental
illnesses
in
December.
I
removed
my
mask
and
said,
‘Hey,
I’m
not
as
happy
as
I
seem,
I’m
depressed
and
here’s
my
story.’
That’s
when
I
received
a
wave
of
girls
saying,
‘I
feel
the
same
way.’
So
I
wanted
to
create
something
for
girls
to
connect
in
real
life
and
in
person
to
get
rid
of
the
stigma
around
mental
illness.
TV:
Why
is
it
important
to
talk
about
mental
health?
EF:
Because
the
conversation
needed
to
happen
and
it
needed
to
happen
now.
Because
one
in
five
Americans
is
going
through
some
type
of
mental
illness.
If
you
aren’t
personally,
you
know
someone
who
is.
It’s
out
of
people’s
control.
TV:
Do
you
think
social
media
help
with
mental
illness?
EF:
Absolutely.
I
think
with
social
media
it’s
so
easy
to
be
honest.
You
being
your
true
self
and
removing
a
mask
and
being
honest
with
yourself
and
followers
is
the
best
way
to
heal(治愈).
People
are
connected
with
realness.
You
can
reach
so
many
people
from
different
countries,
different
ages.
TV:
What
do
you
want
young
women
of
color
to
know
about
mental
health?
EF:
I
want
everyone
to
know
about
mental
health,
that
it
isn’t
something
that
is
visible.
It
doesn’t
have
a
face,
no
age
range.
It’s
something
we
can
cope
with
-
and
it’s
best
to
do
it
together
rather
than
alone.
TV:
Anything
you’d
like
to
add?
EF:
I’d
add
that
anyone
would
encourage
women
or
anyone
going
through
anything
to
find
a
friend
or
to
speak
out
and
seek
help.
Even
if
it’s
a
simple
conversation
with
a
teacher.
As
a
person
who
kept
everything
inside
for
over
20
years,
it’s
extremely
helpful.

There
has
long
been
a
notion
(观念)
that
money
buys
happiness.
However,
although
“we
really,
really
tried
that
for
a
couple
of
generations,
it
didn’t
work,”
said
Francine
Jay,
author
of
The
Joy
of
Less,
A
Minimalist
Living
Guide:
How
to
Declutter,
Organize,
and
Simplify
Your
Life.
Thanks
to
a
travel-inspired
revelation
(启发),
Jay
has
been
happily
living
a
simpler
life
for
12
years.
“I
always
packed
as
lightly
as
possible,
and
found
it
exciting
to
get
by
with
just
a
small
carry-on
bag,”
she
told
CNN.
“I
thought
if
it
feels
this
great
to
travel
lightly,
how
amazing
would
it
be
to
live
this
way?
I
wanted
to
have
that
same
feeling
of
freedom
in
my
everyday
life.”
Jay
decided
to
get
rid
of
all
her
excess
(额外的)
possessions
and
live
with
just
the
essentials
(必需品).
“I
wanted
to
spend
my
time
and
energy
on
experiences,
rather
than
things.”
Jay
is
a
follower
of
a
movement
called
“minimalism
(极简主义)”.
Growing
numbers
of
people
have
been
attracted
to
this
lifestyle
all
over
the
world.
They
share
the
same
feeling
of
disappointment
with
modern
life
and
a
desire
to
live
more
simply.
Minimalists
are
typically
progressive
and
concerned
about
the
environment,
Leah
Watkins,
a
lead
researcher
at
Otago
University
in
New
Zealand,
told
Stuff
magazine
in
March.
But
many
simply
experienced
unhappiness
caused
by
owning
too
many
possessions.
Depression
with
the
materialism
of
our
world
isn’t
new.
English
romantic
poet
William
Wordsworth
summed
up
how
dispiriting
(令人
消沉的)
this
was
back
in
1802,
at
the
beginning
of
the
industrial
age,
when
he
wrote:
“Getting
and
spending,
we
lay
waste
our
powers”.
His
preference
was
to
go
back
to
nature.
Closer
to
our
own
times,
the
hippies
(嬉皮士)
of
the
1960s
also
sought
to
‘‘drop
out”
of
modern
life.
And
for
many
minimalists,
their
key
is
to
unload.
Without
objects,
they
“believe
people
are
forced
more
and
more
into
the
present
moment
and
that’s
where
life
happens,”
wrote
Stuff.
But
does
simplicity
ever
feel
like
a
sacrifice
(牺牲)?
“It’s
eliminating
the
excess—unused
items,
unnecessary
purchases—from
your
life.
Well,
I
may
have
fewer
possessions,
but
I
have
more
space

Minimalism
is
making
room
for
what
matters
most,”
said
Jay.
And
“the
real
questions”,
according
to
Duane
Elgin,
US
social
scientist,
are
“what
do
you
care
about?”
and
“What
do
you
value?”
He
told
CNN:
“It’s
important
for
people
to
realize
minimalism
isn’t
simply
the
amount
of
stuff
we
consume.
It’s
about
our
families,
our
work,
our
connection
with
the
larger
world,
our
spiritual
dimension.
It’s
about
how
we
touch
the
whole
world.
It’s
a
way
of
life.”

Lots
of
people
find
it
hard
to
get
up
in
the
morning,
and
put
the
blame
on
the
alarm
clock.
In
fact,
the
key
to
easy
morning
wake-up
lies
in
resetting
your
body
clock._____11_____Here’s
how
to
make
one.

____12____In
order
to
make
a
change,
you
need
to
decide
why
it’s
important.
Do
you
want
to
get
up
in
time
to
have
breakfast
with
your
family,
get
in
some
exercise,
or
just
be
better
prepared
for
your
day?
Once
you
are
clear
about
your
reasons,
tell
your
family
or
roommates
about
the
change
you
want
to
make.

Rethink
mornings.
Now
that
you
know
why
you
want
to
wake
up,
consider
re-arranging
your
morning
activities.
If
you
want
time
to
have
breakfast
with
your
family,
save
some
time
the
night
before
by
setting
out
clothes,
shoes,
and
bags.
____13____
That’s
a
quarter-hour
more
you
could
be
sleeping
if
you
bought
a
coffee
maker
with
a
timer.

Keep
your
sleep/
wake
schedule
on
weekends.
If
you’re
tired
out
by
Friday
night,
sleeping
in
on
Saturday
could
sound
wonderful.
But
compensating
(补偿)
on
the
weekends
actually
feeds
into
your
sleepiness
the
following
week,
a
recent
study
found.
____14____

Keep
a
record
and
evaluate
it
weekly.
Keep
track
of
your
efforts
and
write
down
how
you
feel.
After
you’ve
tried
a
new
method
for
a
week,
take
a
look
at
your
record.
____15____
If
not,
take
another
look
at
other
methods
you
could
try.
A.
Get
a
sleep
specialist.
B.
Find
the
night
motivation.
C.
A
better
plan
for
sleep
can
help.
D.
And
consider
setting
a
second
alarm.
E.
If
the
steps
you
take
are
working,
keep
it
up.
F.
Stick
to
your
set
bedtime
and
wake-up
time,
no
matter
the
day.
G.
Reconsider
the
15
minutes
you
spend
in
line
at
the
café
to
get
coffee.
