Charpentier
and
Doudna
have
discovered
one
of
gene
technology's
sharpest
tools:
the
CRISPR/Cas9
genetic
scissors.
Using
these,
researchers
can
easily
change
the
DNA
of
animals
and
plants.

technology
has
had

impact
on
the
life
sciences.

contributing
to
new
cancer
treatment

make
the

of
