教学目标:
1.能学会11月、12月的英文表达,能够简单询问和表达11月、12月中的节日和活动,如感恩节和圣诞节。
2.能听、说、读、写以下词语和句子:Thanksgiving, Christmas,November is the eleventh month of the year. December is the twelfth and last month of the year.
3.通过观看感恩节和圣诞节的视频,了解了西方节日习俗同时培养了学生的观察能力。
4.通过学习课文,能在真实语境中运用句子,提高学生的听说能力和交际能力。
5.通过了解中西方文化的差异,加强对中国传统节日的了解,升华到热爱祖国的情感中来。
教学重点:
学习11月、12月的表达,以及相应节日的表达,并用句子能够复述。
教学难点:
学习西方文化习俗,了解、学习西方文化知识,让学生在真实的语境中进行交流。
四、教学过程
Step one: Warm up(1分半钟)
1、Listen to an English song. (设计意图:英语歌曲的播放,不仅能吸引学生的课堂注意力,活跃了课堂气氛,还让学生复习了月份的名称,为新课的教学做了铺垫。)
Step two: Presentation
1. I get an email from Lucy,Let’s read it together.
(设计意图:让学生猜教师最喜欢的月份,自然地引入November和December。)
2. ①Show them the calendar of the year. 学习本课的重点单词:November、eleventh、December、twelfth、last,句型:November is the eleventh month of the year. 以及句型December is the twelfth and the last month of the year.
(设计意图:进一步学习本课的重点句型, November is the eleventh month of the year. December is the twelfth and the last month of the year.并在读的过程中注意序数词第11和第12的拼写.在学习twelfth时,我先出示了基数词twelve,在此基础上,替换了ve变f, 再加th。让学生理解序数词12 不规则变化。)
②Read the second part loudly and circle.
让学生通过自己读邮件第二段的内容,让学生带着问题去找出十一月的节日,学生们能够自然地找出感恩节的日期和人们的活动,让课文变得“活起来”。Then show them some pictures about this festival. The teacher uses some phrases and sentences to talk about this festival so that the students can use the phrases later.
(设计意图:通过展示图片的形式让学生感知感恩节的文化习俗,自然地使用感恩节相关短语,为语言运用打下扎实的基础,丰富学生的语言,为学生创作尽可能多的机会练习。)
③Read the third part silently and underline.让学生带着问题默读文本第三部分,自己找出12月份的节日及其习俗.学习December的相关内容.
The teacher introduces the customs on Christmas and let them see some pictures. And lead in the new words and phrases of Santa Claus and presents. Then listen to the tape and talk about Christmas in pairs and then show in class.
(设计意图:通过展示圣诞节图片,让学生们轻松愉悦的感知圣诞节的习俗和文化,给予学生直观的画面感,加深印象。最后引入生词,Santa Claus 和presents以及圣诞节的相关短语。听课本听力,自然地在听和读中完成段落学习。)
Step three: Practice
1.Fill in the blanks and write them on the paper.
November is the ________ month of the year. In America, ___________ Day is on the _______ Thursday of _________. In this picture, the family is ___________ Thanksgiving.
__________is the ________and _____ month of the year. __________ is on December 25th. Look! The children have _________from Santa Claus.
(设计意图:课文学习后,准备了听力的挖空,既复习了课文内容,又练习了听力。)
2.Let’s have a free talk. Talk about the text in Lesson 29 and the students can talk everything they know about November and December.
The teacher can lead in the weather and activities and so on.
(设计意图:让学生在课堂上对课文进行发问和总结,这不仅锻炼了他们的总结能力,还能提高学生们的自主学习能力,有了一定的语言基础,他们能够谈论更多关于11月和12月的话题,如天气,活动等等。)
Step four: Extension
Tell students the name of the twelve lunar years,and let them put them into the right order.
(设计意图:进一步巩固1-12这十二个序数词,同时扩充学生的知识面。)
