Ⅱ.阅读理解
A
In
the
summer
of
1862,
a
young
man
belonging
to
a
Vermont
regiment
was
found
sleeping
at
his
post.
He
was
trialed
and
sentenced
to
be
shot.
The
day
was
fixed
for
the
execution
(处决),
and
the
young
soldier
calmly
prepared
to
meet
his
fate.
Friends
who
knew
of
the
case
brought
the
matter
to
Mr.
Lincoln's
attention.
It
seemed
that
the
boy
had
been
on
duty
one
night,
and
on
the
following
night
he
had
taken
the
place
of
a
comrade
who
was
too
ill
to
stand
guard.
The
third
night
he
had
been
again
called
out,
and,
being
extremely
tired,he
had
fallen
asleep
at
his
post.
As
soon
as
Mr.
Lincoln
understood
the
case,
he
signed
a
pardon
(赦免令),
and
sent
it
to
the
camp.
The
morning
before
the
execution
arrived,
Mr.
Lincoln
had
not
heard
whether
the
pardon
had
reached
the
officers
in
charge
of
the
matter.
He
began
to
feel
uneasy.
He
ordered
a
telegram
to
be
sent
to
the
camp,but
received
no
answer.
At
last,
feeling
that
he
must
know
that
the
boy
was
safe,
he
ordered
a
carriage
and
rode
rapidly
ten
miles
over
a
dusty
road
and
beneath
a
hot
sun.
When
he
reached
the
camp,
he
found
that
the
pardon
had
been
received
and
the
execution
had
been
called
off.
The
soldier
was
set
free,
and
his
heart
was
filled
with
lasting
gratitude.
When
the
campaign
opened
in
the
spring,
the
young
man
was
with
his
regiment
near
Yorktown,
Virginia.
They
were
ordered
to
attack
a
fort,
and
he
fell
at
the
first
volley
(齐射)
of
the
enemy.
His
comrades
caught
him
up
and
carried
him
bleeding
and
dying
from
the
field.
“Bear
witness,”
he
said,
“that
I
have
proved
myself
a
brave
soldier,
and
I
am
not
afraid
to
die.”
Then,
making
a
last
effort,
with
his
dying
breath
he
prayed
for
Abraham
Lincoln.
1.The
young
soldier
was
sentenced
to
death
because
________.
A.he
tried
to
escape
at
night
B.he

C.that

B.the

didn't
obey
his
order
C.he
didn't
believe
in
the
officers
in
the
camp
D.he
doubted
if
the
officers

the

4.According
to
the
last
paragraph,
which
word
can
best
describe
the
young
soldier?
A.Determined.
B.Patient.
C.Thankful.
D.Friendly.
B
There
are
three
reasons
why
I
don't
agree
that
we
are
ready
for
cloning.
Firstly,
we
don't
know
exactly
what
the
consequences
of
cloning
would
be.
For
example,
if
scientists
cloned
a
man,
they
might
know
what
he
would
look
like,
but
they
wouldn't
know
his
dominant
traits.
What
would
happen
if
scientists
cloned
another
Hitler
or
others
like
him?
Do
you
really
think
we
would
survive
if
this
became
a
reality?
Secondly,
cloning
raises
many
ethical
questions.
Look
back
at
the
cloned
man
I
presented
and
ask
yourself
these
questions:“Do
you
really
think
that
he
would
be
a
man?”“Who
would
be
responsible
for
him?”“Do
you
think
he
should
have
the
same
rights
as
we
have?”
I
don't
think
that
we
can
answer
these
questions
now.
Lastly,
we
don't
know
exactly
what
the
meaning
of
life
is.
In
my
opinion,
creating
life
is
the
duty
of
nature,
and
we
must
not
interfere
with
that
task
because
we
can't
understand
the
extremely
complicated
relationships
among
lives
that
are
defined
by
nature.
Usually
these
relationships
are
extremely
complex.
Sometimes,
they
seem
to
be
so
untouchable
that
they
cannot
be
changed.
From
my
point
of
view,
we
have
to
look
at
the
natural
environment
around
us.
We
can
see
that
an
ecosystem
(生态系统)
is
composed
of
a
lot
of
different
kinds
of
life,
and
each
life
has
its
own
function
within
the
system.
If
we
interfere
with
that,
I
think
it
could
lead
to
our
extinction.
Even
though
cloning
may
have
a
lot
of
benefits
for
humans,
I
think
we
should
stop
cloning
because
we
do
not
understand
it
and
can't
control
all
of
its
effects.
Maybe
in
the
future,
we
will
be
ready
to
do
it,
but
that
time
has
not
yet
arrived.
5.According
to
the
author,
we
are
not
ready
for
cloning
because
________.
A.then
two
or
more
people
would
have
the
same
appearance
B.scientists
wouldn't
be
sure
about
the
personalities
of
the
cloned
people
C.people
may
not
function
properly
if
there
are
more
cloned
human
beings
D.cloning
has
not
been
permitted
by
the
government
6.According
to
the
author,
ethical
questions
refer
to
________.
A.the
rights
and
responsibilities
of
the
government
B.the
relationships
among
people
C.whether
a
person's
personality
is
good
or
not
D.the
education
and
academic
qualifications
of
a
person
7.According
to
the
passage,
what's
the
author's
attitude
towards
cloning?
A.Positive.
B.Critical.
C.Indifferent.
D.Ironic.
8.Which
of
the
following
would
be
the
best
title
for
the
passage?
A.To
Clone
or
Not
B.Why
Should
We

Ⅲ.阅读七选五
Every
morning
is
a
struggle,
__1__
But
did
you
know
that
drinking
water
can
make
you
more
energetic
and
productive?
It
helps
to
balance
your
nervous
system.
Drinking
water
on
empty
stomach
especially
if
it's
hot
can
improve
the
health
of
your
nervous
system.
__2__
At
this
moment,
if
you
just
have
a
glass
of
warm
water,
it
can
properly
offer
water
to
your
nervous
system,
which
will
help
it
function
properly.
It
prevents
mild
headaches.
__3__
So
just
by
increasing
your
water
intake,
you
are
basically
preventing
your
chances
from
suffering
from
them.
__4__
Water
can
help
release
bacteria
and
other
harmful
elements
from
your
system.
This,
in
turn,
can
help
your
body
fight
the
effects
of
certain
chemicals
which
can
cause
your
looking
older.
Furthermore,
your
skin
will
feel
refreshed,
which
can
help
it
maintain
a
flexible
appearance.
It
improves
your
appetite
(胃口).
Early
in
the
morning,
with
your
stomach
totally
empty,
it
is
natural
you
will
feel
hungry.
So
another
benefit
of
drinking
water
is
preparing
you
to
have
the
most
important
meal
of
the
day—breakfast.
__5__
So
now
you
know
the
benefits
of
drinking
water
on
empty
stomach.
Just
add
a
glass
of
warm
or
hot
water
to
your
schedule
after
you
wake
up
and
see
all
the
health
benefits
it
will
bring
to
your
life.
A.It
prevents
body
aging.
B.It
promotes
mental
fitness.
C.Early
morning,
the
stomach
is
most
thirsty.
D.We
think
that
a
cup
of
coffee
would
make
things
right.
E.The
importance
of
drinking
water
can't
be
emphasized
too
much.
F.Besides,
having
a
healthy
desire
for
food
is
good
for
overall
health.
G.Doctors
say
they
result
from
the
removal
of
water
among
various
reasons.

1.答案与解析:C'细节理解题。根据第一段前两句可知,这位年轻的战士因为在站岗时睡着了而被判死刑。因为他违反了军纪。
2.答案与解析:B'细节理解题。由第二段可知,这位年轻的战士因为连续三天晚上站岗而过度疲劳,所以才在岗哨上睡着了。
3.答案与解析:D'细节理解题。根据第三段及第四段第一句可知,林肯之所以自己驾车到营地,是因为他没有收到营地关于已经收到他发布的赦免令的回复,即他不确定营地是否收到了他发布的赦免令。
4.答案与解析:C'推理判断题。根据最后一段中这位年轻的战士在临死前说的话及他最后挣扎着为他的恩人(林肯)祈福可推知,他很忠诚,是个知恩图报的人,因此,thankful符合题意。
B
5.答案与解析:B 细节理解题。根据第二段“we
don't
know
exactly
what
the
consequences
of
cloning
would
be.”以及“but
they
wouldn't
know
his
dominant
traits”可知人们不愿克隆人的一个原因是没办法确定克隆人的性格特征。
6.答案与解析:A 细节理解题。可从第二个原因的三个问题中总结出来。
7.答案与解析:B 推理判断题。根据全文内容尤其是最后一段可知,作者并不赞成克隆,对此持批评的态度。
8.答案与解析:B 主旨大意题。通读全文可知,全文主要从三个方面讲述了我们为什么不要克隆,所以答案选B。

You're

A
new

evaluates
that
on
average,
a

of
bottled
water
from
big

Dasani,
Aquafina,

contains
roughly
10.4
tiny

The

them

evaluates.
Aquafina

Nestlé
said
the

Evian
did

In
our
modern,
plastic?filling
world,
these
little
plastic
bits
—
many
thinner
than
a
human
hair
—
seem
to
be
very
common
everywhere.
We
don't
know
exactly
what
these
plastic
parts
are
doing
to
our
bodies,
but
we're
drinking
them
in
anyway.
That's
an
alarming
possibility,
because
in
the
ocean,
these
little
plastics
are
doing
harmful
things
to
fish.
In
some
species,
they're
even
slowing
down
growth
and
reproduction.
While
there
isn't
clear
evidence
yet
that
the
plastics
in
singleuse
water
bottles
can
increase
cancer
risk,
we
know
that
bottles
containing
a
chemical
called
Bisphenol
A(BPA)
do.
The
hard
BPA
plastics
in
certain
reusable
water
bottles
can
lead
to
higher
risks
of
breast
cancer,
and
other
diseases.
And
a
few
studies
suggest
the
softer
kinds
of
single?use
water
bottles
can
have
similar
chemicals
inside.
The
tiny
plastic
bits
aren't
just
in
our
bottles.
They
come
out
of
our
taps,
too.
The
tiny
plastics
are
also
swimming
in
the
seas
and
disturbing
the
way
fish
eat.
In
some
countries,
microplastics
are
even
slipping
into
the

markets.
Even
Dasani
wrote
in
its
statement:
“It's
clear
the

Handwriting

Elementary

But
what
are
we
losing
as
handwriting
loses
its
significance
in
society?
Brainpower,
according
to
science.
Researchers
from
Princeton
University
and
the
University
of
California,
Los
Angeles
conducted
a
series
of
studies
to
show
the
differences
between
students
who
wrote
out
their
notes
and
those
who
typed
notes.
Participants
took
notes
on
a
lecture
using
one
of
the
two
methods
and
were
tested
on
the
material
30
minutes
after
the
lecture
and
again
a
week
later.
The
results
showed
that
both
types
of
notetakers
did
well
on
the
first
test,
but
students
with
handwritten
notes
were
able
to
remember
and
still
understand
the
concepts
of
the
lecture
after
a
week
had
passed.
These
participants
were
also
more
open
to
new
ideas.
Researchers
said
that
the
reason
is
likely
that
longhand
notes
were
briefer,
more
organized,
and
better
caught
information
from
graphs
and
charts
than
typed
notes.
Another
problem
with
typing
notes
is
the
tendency
to
transcribe
lecture
notes
word
for
word.
While
this
can
help
in
recalling
(回忆起)
facts
short?term,
it
takes
the
focus
away
from
the
main
points
of
the
lesson.
Students
who
take
handwritten
notes
need
to
quickly
process
the
lesson
and
rewrite
it
in
a
way
they
can
understand,
giving
them
an
advantage
in
remembering
new
concepts
in
the
long
term.
Computers
aren't
going
away
anytime
soon,
but
that
doesn't
mean
paper
notebooks
need
to
become
abandoned.
In
fact,
it's
best
to
start
using
them
at
an
early

Choosing

5.Why
is

A.It
is
not
important
any

B.It
is
not
a

for
most
people.
C.Courses

D.Typing

6.What

A.Science

B.Notes

easy
to

as

C.Handwriting

A.Record.

C.Describe.
D.Give.
8.What
conclusion
does
the
author
draw
from
the

A.Lecturers
prefer

【语篇解读】 本文是一篇新闻报道。文章报道了瓶装水中塑料微粒对人、生物及环境的危害。
1.答案与解析:D 考查推理判断。第二段主要介绍了Orb
Media针对几家大品牌饮用水公司如Dasani,
Aquafina,
Nestlé生产的瓶装水所含塑料微粒的研究结果以及这些公司对此的回应。根据本段中的“Aquafina
and
Dasani
both
said...
Evian
did
not
immediately
respond
to
a
request
for
comment”可知,Evian没有马上作出回应,据此可推断Evian应为一家饮用水公司。故选D。
2.答案与解析:B 考查推理判断。第三段主要讲塑料微粒无处不在,我们喝的瓶装水中含有塑料微粒,这是一个应引起人们警觉的问题,因为塑料微粒正在侵害着海洋生物。综上可知,作者在第三段关注塑料微粒的潜在危害。故选B。
3.答案与解析:A 考查观点态度。作者报道了瓶装水中塑料微粒对人、生物及环境的危害,引发读者对环境及人类命运共同体现状的反思,因此,作者对塑料微粒深感忧虑。故选A。
4.答案与解析:A 考查标题判断。本文重在讲述瓶装水中的塑料微粒对人、生物及环境可能造成的危害。故选A。
B
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文。在键盘运用如此广泛的今天,手写依旧彰显出自身的独特魅力和优势:更加简洁、更具条理、更扣要点、更提记忆。
5.答案与解析:B 考查推理判断。根据第一段中的“Few
businesses
can
run
nowadays
without
computers,
giving
keyboard
shortcuts
great
importance...
their
curricula”可知,要是没有电脑,大多数公司都无法正常运行,这使得键盘快捷键的使用变得格外重要。而且小学、中学的教育也认为打字课程是必不可少的。由此可推知,手写对大多数人来说已不再是必需的。故选B。
6.答案与解析:C 考查推理判断。根据第二段中的“The
results
showed
that
both

but
students
with
handwritten

7.答案与解析:A 考查词义猜测。根据第三段首句可知,打字做笔记带来的另一个问题是,做笔记者可能只是逐字逐句记录内容,却忽视了对要点的关注。故选A。present“授予,提交,展现”;
describe“描述”;
give“交给,赠送,提供”。
8.答案与解析:D 考查推理判断。根据第四段“Computers
