教学分析:
(一)教学内容分析:
本课通过Mimi 过生日这个情景,复习过生日的各个环节,以及学习南北半球季节相反的文化知识。本课采用了任务教学法,通过帮助居住在中国的Mimi和居住在澳大利亚的Kangaroo举办生日派对,来复习过生日的各个环节。通过设置同一天却在不同地点举办派对的戏剧化情景,帮助他们来介绍南北半球季节相反的文化知识。
(二)教学对象分析:
六年级的学生已经有了一定的英语能力,能够进行一定的英语会话,但是英语能力却参差不齐,需要教师设置不同能力等级的学习任务,调动各个层次的学生参与到学习活动中来。
二、教学目标:
1 通过观察Mimi的生日邀请卡片,发现邀请卡片缺少的项目,通过这个环节,使学生们掌握如何正确书写邀请卡片,同时培养学生们的观察能力。
2 通过学生们复述故事,提高他们的口语能力和语言表达能力。
3 通过学生们对于聚会地点的种种猜测和如何过圣诞节的表述,提供了学生们锻炼口语的机会。
4 通过课文填空题目,提高学生们对阅读短文的理解能力和语言运用能力。
三、重难点
重点:能用英语描述过生日聚会故事,掌握如何正确书写邀请卡片。
难点:能用英语表达南北半球等地理词汇,介绍短文---全球的季节相反。

Step one: Warm up
Show some pictures about the birthday.
T: Here are some pictures. What are they?

Step two: Presentation
Show the picture of Mimi, and Mimi says: Hello, my name is Mimi. My birthday is on July 5th. I want to have a nice birthday party.
T: There will be a lot of yummy food at the party. Guess what are they?
S: (Show pictures) cake, candies, jelly, hamburger, Coke, French fries, fruit pie, and ice cream.
T: A lot of friends will come and celebrate the birthday with Mimi. Who are they? Can you guess?

10. 反思
成功之处
1 环节紧凑,过渡自然
本课利用与生日相关的图片导入,自然进入本课的话题--Mimi 的生日聚会。既复习了相关知识,又将他们带入了新的语言情境中。另外,通过介绍住在北极村的好朋友TOM在家过生日的情境,引出南北季节不同,让学生们不禁思索:为什么同一天,却南北季节不同呢?从而过渡到了第二个阅读----南北半球季节不同。通过引入了一个角色TOM, 使看似毫不相干的两个话题----生日聚会和季节---紧密的联系在了一起。
2 注重学生观察能力和发散思维能力的培养
通过让学生们观察Mimi的邀请函,引导学生们发现邀请函少了一些关键信息:邀请对象和聚会地点。邀请对象已经利用了谈论图片的形式熟悉,聚会地点大家积极参与猜测,有的人说是在家,因为他们可以吃好的,玩电脑游戏;有的人认为是在水上公园,那里可以划船;还有的人猜测是在饭店,他们可以享受一顿大餐。教师抛出了一个简单的问题:聚会地点可能在哪里,引发出如此多的可能性,通过这样的形式,大家的发散思维能力得到进一步的锻炼。
3 课堂有跳跃,有起伏,呈现给学生充满活力的体验
当呈现了(南半球)炎炎烈日在海边庆祝圣诞节的图片后,教师立即将学生们带入了中国的 White Christmas,讲述他们是如何过圣诞节的,之后,又将同学们带回了海边进行烧烤的Sunny Christmas。这样从南--北--南 的思路,带给了同学们一次跌宕起伏的圣诞体验。
不足之处
虽然在讲授White Christmas和Sunny Christmas的时候,教师采用了不同的介绍方法,not the same, different, snows, snowy, 但是通过学生们后面的阅读并完成短文填空,不难发现,同学们对于动词snow 和形容词snowy 还是掌握得不太理想。虽然这不是本课的知识目标,但是也需要日后课堂上对于这方面知识需有不断的体现。
课堂永远是带有瑕疵的艺术,我们应该在漫漫的教学长路上,不断地学习、探索、比较、反思,才能领悟到英语教学的真谛。不断地反思,精益求精,扬长避短,养成课课反思,时时反思的好习惯,做到课前反思,目标明确,加强实践;课中反思,适时调控,提高效益;课后反思,将经验理论化,促进教师的专业发展。以写促思,以思促教,长期积累必有“集腋成裘,聚沙成塔”的收获
