A
I’m
a
reporter.
Last
month
I
was
in
Stockholm,
Sweden.Now
I’m
in
Frankfurt,
Germany.
Next
month,
who
knows?
You
certainly
won’t
believe
that
I
can
call
you
from
my
laptop,
which
is
what
I’m
often
doing
these
days
using
something
called
Skype.
Skype
lets
me
call
any
phone
number
anywhere
in
the
world
for
about
2
cents
a
minute,
a
little
more
to
some
places,
such
as
the
Middle
East
and
Asia.
My
computer
does
the
dialing,
and
the
processing
of
incoming
and
outgoing
voices.
All
you
need
is
a
broadband
connection(宽带连接).
With
the
basic
version
of
Skype,
all
anyone
needs
to
make
or
receive
a
call
is
to
install
the
programme
on
his
or
her
computer
(and
that
includes
personal
digital
assistants).
All
calls
from
PC
to
PC
are
free.
You
don’t
even
need
a
pair
of
headphones,
though
headphones
can
be
a
good
idea
if
you
wish
to
be
discreet.
I
use
my
laptop’s
built-in
microphone.
The
paid
service
for
calling
regular
telephones
is
called
SkypeOut.
The
quality
is
completely
clear,
provided
that
there’s
not
too
much
traffic
on
the
Internet.
If
there’s
an
echo,
hang
up
and
try
again,
and
it
usually
gets
better.
There
is
one
warning:
on
some
computers,
especially
those
running
older
versions
of
Windows,
it
doesn’t
always
work,
or
can
sound
like
a
confusing
conversation.
You
can’t
hear
a
thing.
Skype
was
invented
chiefly
by
a
Swede
named
Niklas
Zennstrom
along
with
a
group
of
programmers
in
Estonia.

A
new
study
by
Chinese
researchers
has
found
differences
in
the
brain
activities
of
men
and
women
addicted
to
Internet
gaming.
The
study
says
addicted
men
have
lower
impulse
control
compared
with
women,
indicating
that
men
are
more
likely
to
become
addicted
to
Internet
gaming.
Researchers
from
Renji
Hospital,
which
is
connected
with
Shanghai
Jiaotong
University,
recruited
105
Chinese
participants
for
the
study,
which
had
two
groups—one
with
32
men
and
23
women
addicted
to
gaming,
and
the
other
with
30
men
and
20
women
who
were
not
addicted.
They
completed
a
questionnaire
on
gaming
addiction,
and
reported
their
gaming
history
and
number
of
hours
playing
per
week.
Researchers
also
talked
with
their
families
to
collect
the
information.
Through
FMRI
scanning(功能性磁共振扫描),
researchers
found
that
men
addicted
to
gaming
had
lower
brain
activities
in
the
brain
regions
associated
with
impulse
control,
than
nonaddicted
men.
The
lower
the
activity
levels,
the
poorer
the
impulse
control.
Addicted
women,
however,
showed
no
differences
compared
with
the
healthy
female
group.
Researchers
also
studied
the
functional
connectivity
between
brain
regions,
which
were
lower
in
men
with
addiction
than
in
nonaddicted
men,
but
showed
no
differences
in
the
female
groups.
Although
there
are
some
limitations,
the
findings
suggest
that
activity
levels
displayed
in
the
brain
regions
could
be
biomarkers
to
evaluate
the
behavioural
inhibitions
of
gaming-addicted
men,
they
said.
Gaming
disorder
was
listed
as
a
mental
disorder
by
the
World
Health
Organization
earlier
this
year.
People
with
the
disorder
have
impaired
control
over
gaming
and
give
it
increased
priority
in
their
lives—to
the
extent
that
gaming
takes
precedence
over
other
life
interests
and
daily
activities.
4.
What
did
researchers
find
by
FMRI
scanning?
A.
Addicted
men
have
higher
brain
activities.
B.
Addicted
women
have
lower
impulse
control.
C.
Addicted
men
are
the
same
as
nonaddicted
ones.
D.
Addicted
women
have
no
differences
with
nonaddicted
ones.
解析:细节理解题。答案定位在倒数第四段“Addicted
women,
however,
showed
no
differences
compared
with
the
healthy
female
group.”。通过功能性磁共振扫描,研究人员发现,上瘾的女性和没有上瘾的女性没有区别,故选D。
答案:D
5.

to
the
Internet,
the
Ministry
of
Education(MOE,
教育部)
sent
a
letter
in
2018
to
all
parents
in
China.
It
calls
on
them
to
pay
more
attention
to
their
children’s
online
activities.
Nowadays
more

Internet.
A
17-year-old
boy
from
Guangdong
Province
nearly
died
after
playing
online
games
for
40
hours.
It
shows
how
bad
things
can
get

to
the
Internet.
The
MOE
also
sent
a
notice
to
primary
and
middle
schools,
asking
them

From
now
on,
schools
will
pay
more
attention
to
their
students’
Internet

mobile
phones.
Schools
have
been
told
to
teach
students
how
to
avoid
violent
online
content.
As
long

students
show
signs
of
being
addicted
to
the
Internet,
they
can
get
help
from
their
teachers
to
give

They
can
develop
healthy
hobbies,
like
reading
or
playing
sports
in
their
free
time.
Many
other
countries
are
also
taking
action.
The
Australian
government
has
called
for
schools
to
confiscate(没收)
mobile
phones
during
school
hours.
And
in
Korea,
there
is
a
law
that
children
under
the
age
of
16
are
not
allowed
to
play
online
between
midnight
and
6
am.

to
the
question
is
as
difficult
as
determining
at
what
age
a
child
can
be
left
at

by
themselves,
since
all
children
are
different.
Here
are
some
questions
to
ask
yourself
to
determine
what
is
right
for
your
child.?
12 ?
Of
course
when
you
are
trying
to
determine
if
you
can
let
him
or
her
go
online,
your
child
has
probably
already
said,
“I’m
ready;
I
can
handle
it.”

are
they?
13
How
would
they
handle
the
material
if
they
ran
across
it
by
accident?
?
14 ?
Does
your
child
question
other
people’s
actions?
Do
they
easily
believe
anything
that

what
the
dangers
are?

are
people
out
there
that
might
want
to
do
them
harm?

is
a
dangerous
world
out
there.
If
you
are
going
to
let
them
wander
around
in
the
online
world,
they
need
to
be
prepared
for
what
they
might
see
or
run
into.
?

Is
your
child
easy
to
cheat?
B.
There
are
a
lot
of
dangers
online.
C.
Are
they
ready
to
go
online
by
themselves?
D.
Is
your
child
skilled
in
using
a
computer?

is
a
lot
of
unpleasant
material

age
should
you
allow
your
child
to
go
online
alone?
G.
You
may
be
thinking
this
is
a
strange
question
to
ask
yourself.
11.

We
all
need
cash
in
order
to
live
our
lives.
However,
something
called
digital
currency
is
slowly
taking
the
place
of
cash.
Digital
currency
is
a
kind
of
money.
Usually,
we
use
currency
when
we
talk
about
a
country’s
money.
If
something
is
digital,
it
only
exists
on
a
computer.
So
“digital
currency”
means
money
that
only
exists
on
computers.
Lots
of
people
have
digital
currency
accounts.
They
use
a
credit
card
to
change
their
real
money
into
digital
money,
and
then
the
money
goes
into
the
digital
currency
account.
A
lot
of
people
wonder,
“Why
in
the
world
should
I
change
my
real
money
into
digital
currency?”
This
is
a
fair
question,
but
there’s
a
good
answer.
If
you
want
to
buy
something
online,
then
you
usually
have
to
use
digital
currency.
For
example,
if
you’re
in
China
and
you
want
to
buy
something
in
Canada,
then
you’ll
have
to
pay
with
digital
currency.
Many
people
still
don’t
trust
digital
currency.
Some
people
think
that
if
they
can’t
hold
their
money
in
their
hand,
then
it
doesn’t
seem
real.
These
people
don’t
feel
comfortable
when
they
see
numbers
on
a
computer
screen.
The
computer
tells
them
that
their
money
is
safe
but
these
people
don’t
really
feel
safe.
Another
problem
is
security
(安全).
There
are
hackers
all
over
the
world.
A
hacker
is
a
person
who
steals
computer
information.
If
a
hacker
gets
the
password
of
your
digital
currency
account,
he
or
she
can
steal
your
money.
You
have
to
decide
whether
or
not
you
trust
this
new
invention.
Just
remember
one
thing:
If
you
want
to
buy
something
online,
then
you
probably
won’t
have
a
choice.
You’ll
have
to
use
digital
currency.

阅读理解
A
Nowadays,
the
Internet
is
usually
one
of
the
first
places
a
lonely
heart
turns
to
as
the
following
story
shows.
A
63-year-old
retired
woman
in
Zhengzhou,
made
the
headlines
two
days
after
she
posted
an
advertisement
on
her
WeChat,
where
she
said
she
wanted
to
find
a
young
female
companion
for
a
trip
to
Sanya,
a
local
newspaper
Dahe
Daily
reported.
In
the
advertisement,
The
Chinese
Dama
(a
Chinese
term
for
middle-aged
and
elderly
women)
surnamed
(a
person’s
last
name)
Li
said
she
was
in
good
health,
and
that
she
was
particularly
looking
forward
to
a
sea
trip
this
winter.
“I
have
a
daughter
who
works
in
Canada,
and
I
don’t
want
to
disturb
her.
My
husband
rarely
has
time
to
travel
with
me.
But
I’m
afraid
of
travelling
alone,
so
I
am
looking
for
a
sweet,
happy
young
woman,
aged
between
19
and
25
to
travel
with
me.
Hope
she
could
chat
with
me
and
take
photos
with
me.”
At
the
end
of
the
advertisement,
she
showed
her
sincerity
by
saying
she
would
be
responsible
for
all
the
costs
of
the
trip,
including
accommodations
(膳宿)
and
air
tickets,
plus
an
iPhone
7
as
a
gift.
She
told
Dahe
Daily
that
she
did
not
expect
her
advertisement
to
receive
so
much
attention.
“My
phone
keeps
buzzing
all
the
time.”
However,
some
people
questioned
the
truth
of
Li’s
advertisement.
They
said
it
might
be
organised
by
travel
agencies
aiming
to
promote(促进)
Sanya
tourism,
or
even
served
as
a
promotional
advertisement
for
real
estate(房地产)
on
the
island.
Li
denied
those
doubts
and
said
all
she
wants
is
just
to
find
a
sweet
“daughter”.
But
Li’s
advertisement
for
a
daughter
has
also
received
as
much
online
mockery(嘲笑)
as
positive
feedback.
1.
Which
girl
may
meet
Li’s
requirements?
A.
A
girl
aged
20
who
wants
to
travel
very
much
but
has
little
money.
B.
A
girl
student
aged
18
who
is
very
interested
in
an
iPhone
7.
C.
A
girl
aged
21
who
is
airsick
and
wants
to
take
a
train
trip
to
travel.
D.
A
girl
aged
22
who
wants
to
travel
alone
to
Sanya.
解析:推理判断题。根据第三段“…
so
I
am
looking
for
a
sweet,
happy
young
woman,
aged
between
19
and
25
to
travel
with
me.
Hope
she
could
chat

and

the

the
advertisement,
she
showed
her

by
saying
she

be
responsible
for
all
the
costs
of

including

iPhone
7
as
a
gift.”可知,她在朋友圈里发信息征“女儿”陪旅游,对“女儿”的年龄要求是19岁至25岁之间,不仅包机票包住宿还送iPhone
7。故选A。
答案:A
2.
Why
does
Li
want
to
find
a
girl
to
go
with
her
on
a
trip?
A.
Her
own
daughter
has
to
stay
at
home
to
work.
B.
Her
husband
only
cares
about
his
work.
C.
It’s
easy
for
a
lonely
person
to
find
a
companion
through
the
Internet.
D.
She
doesn’t
want
to
travel
alone
but
no
other
family
members
are
free.
解析:细节理解题。根据第三段“I
have
a
daughter
who
works
in
Canada,
and
I
don’t
want
to
disturb
her.
My
husband
rarely
has
time

But

答案:D
3.
What’s
the
writer’s
tone
in
writing
about
this
event?
A.
Objective.
B.
Subjective.
C.
Negative.
D.
Positive.
解析:推理判断题。根据文章内容以及最后一段“But
Li’s
advertisement
for
a
daughter
has
also
received
as
much
online
mockery
as
positive
feedback.”可知,作者是在客观地叙述。subjective主观的;
negative
消极的;
positive
积极的。故选A。
答案:A
B
Don’t
be
afraid!
We
are
not
encouraging
people
to
steal.
It’s
one
of
the
most
popular
topics
currently
talked
about
by
people
in
cities,
together
with,
“How
many
vegetables
did
you
steal
today?”
or,
“It’s
harvest
time
for
your
peaches.”
and,
“I
bought
you
a
new
car
today.”
Listening
to
a
conversation
like
this,
you
do
not
have
to
feel
strange.
These
people
don’t
really
have
their
own
farms
or
so
much
money
that
they
can
casually(随意地)
buy
someone
else
a
car.
They
are
just
playing
games
on
Social
Networking
Services(SNS).
Can
you
imagine
millions
of
people
in
China
spending
lots
of
time
on
SNS
playing
games
and
talking
to
friends?
This
is
especially
true
of
white-collar
workers
in
cities.
However,
the
large
number
of
people
using
SNS
highlights
another
problem.
That
is,
lots
of
people
choose
to
escape
from
reality.
SNS
just
offers
them
a
virtual(虚拟的)
environment
where
they
can
escape
from
reality.
Different
games
provide
netizens
with
different
experiences:
dreaming,
chatting
and
playing.
It
offers
people
the
opportunity
to
escape
from
reality.
But
the
virtual
world
is
not
the
real
one;
no
one
can
live
in
it
forever,
and
reality
is
not
as
surfing
on
the
Internet.
Since
these
kinds
of
social
networking
services
have
become
so
popular,
people
have
started
to
think
about
moving
them
into
the
real
world.
And
as
far
as
we
know,
farmland
of
this
kind
exists
in
Shanghai
where
it
has
reached
its
first
base.
After
playing
the
“Happy
Farm”
game,
would
you
like
to
put
yourself
among
the
real
world
while
smelling
the
fragrances(芳香)
of
the
countryside?
Recently
a
farmland
service
called
“Happy
Farm
in
Reality”
was
opened
in
the
suburbs
of
Shanghai
where
white-collar
workers
can
experience
the
real
farmers’
life
for
themselves.
4.
What’s
the
writer’s
purpose
for
the
first
paragraph?
A.
To
encourage
readers
to
be
brave.
B.
To
tell
the
readers
not
to
steal.
C.
To
tell
the
readers
some
shocking
news.
D.
To
introduce
some
game.
解析:细节理解题。第一段通过一系列针对游戏的细节性设问句,如“你今天偷了多少蔬菜?”或“是时候收获你的桃子了。”或者“今天我给你买了一辆新车。”引出下文“开心农场”这款游戏。故第一段的目的主要是引出某个游戏。故选D。
答案:D
5.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“it”
in
Paragraph
5
refer
to?
A.
The
real
world.
B.
Farmland
in
Shanghai.
C.
The
virtual
world.
D.
An
expensive
car.
解析:代词指代题。由第五段“But
the
virtual
world
is
not
the
real
one;
no
one
can
live
in
it
forever,
and
reality
is
not
as
surfing
on
the
Internet.”
可知,it指代上文提到的the
virtual
world。句意:但虚拟世界不是真实的,没有人能永远生活在其中,现实也不像在互联网上冲浪一样。故选C。
答案:C
6.
Which
of
the
following
is
NOT
true?
A.
Millions
of
people
in
China
are
spending
lots
of
time
on
SNS.
B.
People
steal
vegetables
on
SNS
for
a
living.
C.
Lots
of
people
play
games
on
SNS
to
escape
from
reality.
D.
White-collar
workers
can
have
the
real
farmers’
life.
解析:细节理解题。由第二段最后一句“These
people
don’t
really
have
their
own
farms
or
so
much
money
that
they
can
casually
buy
someone
else
a
car.”和第三段第一句“They
are
just
playing
games
on
Social
Networking
Services(SNS).”可知人们并不是真的拥有农场,而是在SNS上玩游戏,所以B项“人们以在SNS上偷菜谋生”错误,故选B。
答案:B
7.
You
can
find
the
passage
in
the
part
of
a
newspaper.?
A.
politics
B.
entertainment
C.
economy
D.
sports
解析:推理判断题。文章主要介绍了一种游戏——开心农场,人们可以在SNS上拥有自己的农场,种菜、偷菜,因此文章最可能出现在报纸的娱乐版,故选B。
答案:B
Ⅴ.
