阅读理解
(共20小题,每小题2分,满分40分)
第一节
(共15小题,每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C
和
D)中,选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
A
The
CCU(Charity
Cycling
UK)
recently
called
on
to
raise
awareness(觉察,意识)
of
dooring
after
discovering
that
many
people
don't
know
what
it
is.
Dooring
is
when
a
driver
or
passenger
opens
the
door
into
another
road
user(typically
cyclist)
without
looking
for
other
road
users.
The
CCU
chief
officer
Paul
told
Glou
Live:
''Some
people
seem
to
see
car
dooring
as
a
bit
of
a
joke,
but
it's
not
and
can
have
serious
results.
We
want
to
see
great
awareness
made
about
the
dangers
of
opening
your
car
door
carelessly,
and
people
to
be
encouraged
to
look
before
they
open.
''
Among
the
3,000
injuries,
2,009
were
cyclists,
resulting
in
five
deaths
but
this
might
not
be
the
whole
of
the
danger.
Not
all
car
dooring
incidents
will
be
attended
by
police,
so
the
CCU
has
written
to
call
for
a
public
awareness
campaign
urging(敦促)
all
car
users,
not
just
drivers,
to
look
before
opening
vehicle
doors.
One
of
the
ways
the
CCU
suggests
is
the
''Dutch
reach'',
where
people
leaving
a
vehicle
reach
over
and
use
the
non-door
side
hand
to
open
the
door.
In
the
Netherlands
they
are
known
for
practicing
a
method,
known
sometimes
as
the
''Dutch
reach'',
which
we
think
could
be
successfully
encouraged
in
the
UK.
If
you're
really
concerned
about
opening
a
door
into
the
path
of
a
cyclist
coming
behind
you,
consider
using
what’s
known
as
the
''Dutch
reach''
to
open
the
door.
That
will
naturally
turn
you
in
your
seat
and
give
you
a
much
better
view
of
what's
coming
up
alongside
in
the
car.
21.Why
does
the
writer
mention
the
figures
in
Paragraph
2?
A.To
cause
public
concern.
B.To
report
the
terrible
accidents.
C.To
stress
the
importance
of
traffic
safety.
D.To
show
the
danger
of
car
dooring.
22.While
doing
the
''Dutch
reach'',
you
should
_____.
A.use
the
left
hand
to
open
the
car
door
B.open
the
car
door
politely
C.use
the
inside
hand
to
open
the
door
D.sit
in
your
seat
23.What
can
be
learned
from
the
passage?
A.Drivers
are
to
blame
for
dooring
incidents.
B.Many
people
ignore
the
car
dooring.
C.Dooring
incidents
are
all
attended
by
police.
D.The
''Dutch
reach''
is
well
received
in
England.
B
A
scientist
working
at
her
lab
bench
and
a
six-month-old
baby
playing
with
his
food
might
seem
to
have
little
in
common.
After
all,
the
scientist
is
engaged
in
serious
research
to
uncover
the
very
nature
of
the
physical
world,
and
the
baby
is,
well,
just
playing…right?
Perhaps,
but
some
developmental
psychologist
have
argued
that
this
“play”
is
more
like
a
scientific
investigation
than
one
might
think.
Take
a
closer
look
at
the
baby
playing
at
the
table.
Each
time
the
bowl
of
rice
is
pushed
over
the
table
edge,
it
falls
in
the
ground
—
and,
in
the
process,
it
brings
out
important
evidence
about
how
physical
objects
interact;
bowls
of
rice
do
not
float
in
mid-sit,
but
require
support
to
remain
stable.
It
is
likely
that
babies
are
not
born
knowing
the
basic
fact
of
the
universe;
nor
are
they
ever
clearly
taught
it.
Instead,
babies
may
form
an
understanding
of
object
support
through
repeated
experiments
and
then
build
on
this
knowledge
to
learn
even
more
about
how
objects
interact.
Though
their
ranges
and
tools
differ,
the
baby’s
investigation
and
the
scientist’s
experiment
appear
to
share
the
same
aim
(to
learn
about
the
natural
world,
overall
approach
(gathering
direct
evidence
from
the
world),
and
logic
(are
my
observations
what
I
expected?).
Some
psychologists
suggest
that
young
children
learn
about
more
—
than
just
the
physical
world
in
this
way
that
they
investigate
human
psychology
and
the
rules
of
language
using
similar
means.
For
example,
it
may
only
be
through
repeated
experiments,
evidence
gathering,
and
finally
overturning
a
theory,
that
a
baby
will
come
to
accept
the
idea
that
other
people
can
have
different
views
and
desires
from
what
he
or
she
has.
For
example,
unlike
the
child,
Mommy
actually
doesn’t
like
Dove
chocolate.
Viewing
childhood
development
as
a
scientific
investigation
throws
on
how
children
learn,
but
it
also
offers
an
inspiring
look
at
science
and
scientists.
Why
do
young
children
and
scientists
seems
to
be
so
much
alike?
Psychologists
have
suggested
that
science
as
an
effort
—
the
desire
to
explore,
explain,
and
understand
our
world
—
is
simply
something
that
comes
from
our
babyhood.
Perhaps
evolution
provided
human
babies
with
curiosity
and
a
natural
drive
to
explain
their
worlds,
and
adult
scientists
simply
make
use
of
the
same
drive
that
served
them
as
children.
The
same
cognitive
systems
that
make
young
children
feel
good
about
figuring
something
out
may
have
been
adopted
by
adult
scientists.
As
some
psychologists
put
it,
“It
is
not
that
children
are
little
scientists
but
that
scientists
are
big
children.”
24.We
learn
from
Paragraph
2
that
_______.
A.scientists
and
babies
seem
to
observe
the
world
differently
B.scientists
and
babies
often
interact
with
each
other
C.babies
are
born
with
the
knowledge
of
object
support
D.babies
seem
to
collect
evidence
just
as
scientists
do
25.Children
may
learn
the
rules
of
language
by
_______.
A.exploring
the
physical
world
B.investigating
human
psychology
C.repeating
their
own
experiments
D.observing
their
parents’
behaviors
26.What
is
the
main
idea
of
the
last
paragraph?
A.The
world
may
be
more
clearly
explained
through
children’s
play.
B.Studying
babies’
play
may
lead
to
a
better
understanding
of
science.
C.Children
may
have
greater
ability
to
figure
out
things
than
scientists
D.One’s
drive
for
scientific
research
may
become
stronger
as
he
grows.
27.What
is
the
author’s
tone
when
he
discusses
the
connection
between
scientists’
research
and
babies’
play?
A.Imposing.
B.Confused.
C.Confident.
D.Objective.
C
This
could
be
the
perfect
gift
for
the
partner,who
embarrasses
you
on
the
dance
floor.Smart
socks,which
can
teach
to
dance,may
be
the
answer
for
anyone
with
two
left
feet.
The
socks
have
been
developed
as
a
running
tool
to
help
runners
improve
their
skills.Thanks
to
the
socks,users
can
accurately
record
not
only
how
far
and
fast
they
run
but
also
how
well.It
means
the
user
maximizes
their
performance,and
reduces
damage
to
body
and
prevents
hurt.The
hi-tech
socks
are
made
of
special
fibers
that
watch
the
movements
of
your
feet.They
look,feel
and
can
be
washed
like
normal
clothes.
Sensors(传感器)record
each
movement
and
send
it
by
an
ankle
transmitter(脚踝发射器)to
a
smart
phone.
Then
a
“virtual
coach”
application
shows
the
information
and
can
tell
the
user
what
they
are
doing
wrong,and
help
to
improve
skill
in
any
task
with
feet.
The
socks
should
be
useful
to
athletes
and
weekend
joggers."People
think
running
is
so
easy
and
of
course
everybody
can
do
it
but
not
necessarily
safely
and
well,"Dr
Davide
Vigano
said.A
recent
study
showed
that
between
60
and
80
percent
of
runners
got
hurt
per
year.This
is
pretty
much
more
than
any
other
human
activity.Researchers
say
the
technology
can
also
be
developed
to
teach
people
how
to
dance,play
sports
such
as
golf,or
even
to
help
to
teach
women
to
walk
better
in
high
heels.
Mr.Vigano
said,“People
could
all
benefit
from
the
idea.We
have
had
interest
from
all
sorts
of
sports,like
skiing,
football,cycling
and
golf.Anything
where
you
have
to
use
your
feet
can
use
it.It
could
even
be
put
in
high
heels
to
help
women
walk
in
them
safely.”
Socks
are
just
the
start,and
the
technology
could
be
used
in
gloves,hats
and
boots.The
socks,anklet
and
software
package,are
expected
to
be
sold
for
around£120,which
will
go
on
sale
in
March.

invented
the
socks.

special
about
fibers
that
the
socks
are
made
of?

They
can
monitor
the
movement
of
feet.
C.
They
are
expensive
to

help
women
walk
better
in
high
heels.
C.
They
can
teach
people
to
dance
well.
D.
They
can
be
worn
for

For
Western
designers,
China
and
its
rich
culture
have
long
been
an
inspiration
for
Western
creative.
“It's
no
secret
that
China
has
always
been
a
source
of
inspiration
for
designers,”
says
Amanda
Hill,
chief
creative
officer
at
A+E
Networks,
a
global
media
company
and
home
to
some
of
the
biggest
fashion
shows.
Earlier
this
year,
the
China
Through
A
Looking
Glass
exhibition
in
New
York
exhibited
140
pieces
of
China-inspired
fashionable
clothing
alongside
Chinese
works
of
art,
with
the
aim
of
exploring
the
influence
of
Chinese
aesthetics(美学)on
Western
fashion
and
how
China
has
fueled
the
fashionable
imagination
for
centuries.
The
exhibition
had
record
attendance,
showing
that
there
is
huge
interest
in
Chinese
influences.
“China
is
impossible
to
overlook,”
says
Hill.
“Chinese
models
are
the
faces
of
beauty
and
fashion
campaigns
that
sell
dreams
to
women
all
over
the
world,
which
means
Chinese
women
are
not
just
consumers
of
fashion
-
they
are
central
to
its
movement.
“Of
course,
only
are
today's
top
Western
designers
being
influenced
by
China
-
some
of
the
best
designers
of
contemporary
fashion
are
themselves
Chinese.
“
Vera
Wang,
Alexander
Wang,
Jason
Wu
are
taking
on
Galiano,
Albaz,
Marc
Jacobs
-
and
beating
them
hands
down
in
design
and
sales,”
adds
Hill.
For
Hill,
it
is
impossible
not
to
talk
about
China
as
the
leading
player
when
discussing
fashion.
“The
most
famous
designers
are
Chinese,
so
are
the
models,
and
so
are
the
consumers,”
she
says.
“China
is
no
longer
just
another
market;
in
many
senses
it
has
become
the
market.
If
you
talk
about
fashion
today,
you
are
talking
about
China
-its
influences,
its
direction,
its
breathtaking
clothes,
and
how
young
designers
and
models
are
finally
acknowledging
that
in
many
ways.
