How do people celebrate theChristmas
Christmas Day always begins before breakfast.Children wake up very early,and can’t wait to open the presents in their stockings and under the tree. They wake up the other family members,calling,”Merry Christmas!”After all the presents are opened,the family will usually have a delicious breakfast.They spend the day playing with the new toys and visiting their relatives and friends.They greet each other with a hug and say,”Merry Christmas!”
Father Christmas is based on a real person in history.InTurkey,there once was a man named Saint Nicholas. He was a very shy person .He wanted to give money to the poor .But he did not want them to know that the money came from him.He didn’t know what to do .It is said that one day he climbed to the top of a house and dropped some money down a chimney .It went into a stocking that a little girl had hung by the fireplace to dry! Even through Father Christmas is no longer living ,his spirit of generosity lives on today.
