Music
Ⅰ.阅读理解
Do
you
listen
to
the
songs
that
your
parents
like?
Great
chances
are
that
you
don't.You
probably
think
the
music
that
they
like
is
old
and
dull
and
that
the
songs
on
your
playlist
are
much
cooler.
But
here
is
what
scientists
found
recently:people's
music
tastes
change
as
they
age,
according
to
a
study
published
in
the
Journal
of
Personality
and
Social
Psychology.So
it's
likely
that
your
own
music
preference
will
follow
a
similar
path
to
your
parents'
whether
you
like
it
or
not.
We
used
to
think
that
culture
and
personality
are
the
only
factors
that
affect
one's
choice
of
music.But
researchers
at
the
University
of
Cambridge,
UK,gathered
data
from
more
than
250,000
people
over
the
past
10
years.They
noticed
that
as
people
age,
their
social
circumstances
change,
and
so
do
their
music
tastes.
There
are
three
musical
periods
that
people
pass
through
as
they
mature

“intense”,
“contemporary”
and
“sophisticated”.
The
first
period
comes
in
the
teenage
years,during
which
time
people
like
intense
music
such
as
punk
and
rock
because
teenagers
tend
to
be
aggressive
and
want
to
establish
their
identity
as
independent
individuals.
But
as
people
move
into
early
adulthood,
their
lifestyle
changes—they
socialize
more
and
want
to
build
close
relationships
with
others.As
a
result,
they
become
fonder
of
contemporary
music,
such
as
pop
and
R&B,
which
usually
makes
people
happy
and
is
danceable
and
is
played
at
parties
where
people
hang
out
together
and
chat.
When
middle
age
comes,
things
have
settled
down
for
most
people.This
period
will
be
dominated
(支配)by
more
sophisticated
music,
such
as
jazz
and
classical
music,
as
well
as
catchier
music
like
country,
folk,and
blues.
“For
many,
this
life
stage
is
frequently
exhausted
by
work
and
family,
and
there
are
requirements
of
relaxing,
emotive
(有感染力的)
music,”
Jason
Rentfrow,
a
member
of
the
research
team,
told
The
Telegraph.
But
you
must
be
thinking,
“Aren't
there
old
people
who
are
still
into
rock
music?”
Of
course
there
are.But
Rentfrow
explained
that
their
reasons
for
listening
to
rock
music
may
have
changed.“We
use
music
for
different
reasons,”
he
said,
and
thus
at
that
age
people
may
listen
to
remind
themselves
of
their
youth.
本文是一篇说明文,介绍了年龄对人们的音乐喜好的影响。
1.Why
do
children
usually
like
different
songs

their
parents

prefer
cool
music.
B.Music
tastes
change
with
age.
C.Parents'
songs
are
always
dull.
D.Parents
have
better
social
circumstances.
答案:B
解析:考查细节理解。根据第二段中的“But
here
is
what
scientists
found
recently:people's
music
tastes
change
as
they
age”可知,人们的音乐喜好随着年龄的增长而变化,故孩子和他们的父母喜欢不一样的音乐。
2.Middle

is
a
period
when
people________.
A.have
an
aggressive
goal
B.like
pop
and
R&B
C.desire
close

others
D.lead
a
stressful

many,this
life
stage

frequently
exhausted
by
work
and
family,and
there
are
requirements
of
relaxing,emotive(有感染力的)music”可知,对很多人来说,这个人生阶段经常为工作和家庭所累,故可推知中年人过着有压力的生活。
3.What
can
we
infer
from
the
last
paragraph?
A.Old
people
don't
like
rock
music.
B.Music
can
serve
as
a
reminder.
C.Rock
music
makes
old
people
younger.
D.Listening
to
rock
music
needs
reasons.
答案:B
解析:考查推理判断。根据最后一段中的“‘We
use
music
for
different
reasons,’he
said,and
thus
at
that
age
people
may
listen
to
remind
themselves
of
their
youth”可知,人们听音乐可能是为了使他们想起他们的青年时期,故可推知音乐可以令人回想起过去。
4.What's
the
main
idea
of
the
passage?
A.Why
do
people
like
music?
B.How
can
you
improve
your
music
talent?
C.What
influences
people's
music
tastes?
D.Why
do
different
people
like
different
music?
答案:C
解析:考查主旨大意。通读全文尤其是第二段中的“But
here
is
what
scientists
found
recently:people's
music
tastes
change
as
they
age”可知,文章主要告诉我们,人们的音乐喜好随着年龄的增长而变化。所以文章主要是围绕“什么影响了人们的音乐喜好”展开的,故选C。
Ⅱ.概要写作
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
3D
printing:the
future
of
food
production?
3D
printing
is
becoming
more
and
more
popular.
People
and
businesses
are
able
to
create
the
things
they
need
very
quickly
and
easily
using
3D
printers.
But
can
you
imagine
printing
food?
Some
scientists
are
trying
to
update
the
dining
experience
by
doing
this.
They
hope
that
having
a
3D
printer
in
the
kitchen
will
become
as
commonplace
as
the
microwave
or
blender(搅拌器).
Scientists
say
that
it
is
easy
to
use:you
simply
have
to
select
a
recipe
and
put
the
raw
food
‘inks’
into
the
printer.
You
can
also
adjust
the
instructions
to
make
the
food
exactly
how
you
want
it.
This
means
that
it
would
be
very
quick
and
easy
to
create
tasty
and
nutritious
meals.
Using
3D
printers
to
create
your
meals
would
also
be
saving
the
environment.
There
would
be
less
need
for
traditional
growing,
transporting
and
packaging
processes
as
food
production
would
be
a
lot
more
efficient.
Printing
food
could
also
help
people
who
suffer
from
a
swallowing
disorder.
They
could
program
the
printer
to
print
softer
versions
of
their
favourite
foods
so
that
they
would
not
have
trouble
swallowing
them.
However,
some
people
think
that
3D?printed
food
would
be
a
disaster.
It
could
take
away
many
jobs,
including
those
for
growing,
transporting
and
packaging
food.
Imagine
a
world
where
there
was
no
need
for
farming
or
growing
crops
and
the
same
tastes
and
textures
could
be
printed
from
a
raw
food
‘ink’.
Likewise,
traditional
cafés
and
restaurants
might
lose
business.
Also,
there
are
concerns
about
the
nutritional
value
of
printed
food:
is
it
really
possible
to
get
the
nutrients
we
need
from
it?
What's
more,
cooking
and
eating
together
with
family
and
friends
has
long
been
a
traditional
and
enjoyable
activity.
It
is
hard
to
imagine
a
world
where
the
pastime
of
cooking
is
dead
and
meals
can
be
created
at
the
touch
of
a
button.

Ⅱ.阅读理解
I
have
a
question
for
those
or
you
in
a
relationship.How
“normal”
are
you
and
your
partner
as
a
couple?
I
mean,
are
you
like
most
other
couples
when
it
comes
to
things
like
how
much
you
trust
each
other,
how
often
you
hold
hands
and
how
much
you
share
the
housework?
Well,
two
social
scientists
and
a
“wellness
entrepreneur”
tried
to
understand
what
most
couples
are
really
like.They
asked
over
100,000
people
around
the
world
questions
about
their
relationships.Then
they
analyzed
the
answers
and
wrote
a
book
about
what
they
found.The
book
is
called
The
Normal
Bar.It
was
published
this
spring.
Professor
Pepper
Schwartz
says
there
is
no
universal
standard
for
“normal”.In
other
words,people
can
be
happy
with
different
normal.But
she
did
find
that
couples
who
described
themselves
as
happy
had
a
lot
of
things
in
common.Pepper
Schwartz
says
normal
for
happy
couples
is
helping.That
means
that
neither
person
does
all
the
cooking
or
cleaning.About
42
percent
of
men
and
women
globally
said
they
share
chores
equally.
But
there's
a
bigger
point.She
says
happy
couples
see
their
partners
as
whole
persons—not
just
as
the
ones
who
do
all
the
housework,
or
the
ones
who
earn
all
the
money.“For
example,
something
like
89
percent
of
couples
in
America,
Spain,
Canada,the
Philippines,
China—you
name
it,
they
support
their
partners'
growth.”In
other
words,
she
says
most
happy
couples
allow
their
partners
to
change
for
instance,
to
try
new
jobs
or
new
hobbies.No
one
has
to
stick
doing
the
same
thing
over
and
over,
either
inside
or
outside
the
home.
And
there's
another
thing,
too.Schwartz
says
happy
couples
do
not
focus
on
work.The
laundry
and
email
can
wait,
they
say.The
relationship
is
what
is
important.
