[设计理念]
以任务为中心的任务型语言教学是目前交际教学思想中的一种新的发展形态。它倡导“在做中学,在做中用”的教育理念,将语言应用的基本理念转化为具有实践意义的课堂教学方式。运用学习任务组织教学,强化了语言实践的过程,充分体现了语言的交际本质。新目标英语是一套好教材,然而,“橘生淮南则为橘,生于淮北则为枳”。在英语实践课堂上,实施任务和开展活动具有很大的挑战性,需要在实际操作中对教材进行重新整合,并要根据学生的环境和接受能力来开展行之有效的任务和活动。同时利用多媒体和网络技术,帮助解决教学难题。这样,既能为学生创设真实可视的英语学习环境,也能激发学生积极参与的欲望,引起学生的共鸣和兴趣。
[教材分析]
教学内容为“Go for it ”新目标英语八年级上册第六单元Section A (1a-1c)。学习内容主要体现在以下3点:
学习有关人物特点的单词:tall, thin, short, heavy, calm, wild, long hair, short hair, outgoing, quiet, funny, serious, smart, athletic, ect.
学习人物比较的重要句型:
A is _______ than B.
掌握语法点:the comparative degree of adjectives (形容词的比较级)
[学生分析]
利用多媒体课件上英语课,学生视听感受明显,表现出极大兴趣,在欣赏和享受中学习,学习效果很明显。
学生以前已经接触过形容词的比较级,但掌握不够,不能灵活运用比较级。通过对本课的学习学生可以对形容词的比较级有更深入透彻的了解,掌握用正确的语言结构表达人物特点和人物比较。
[教学目标]
1.谈论学生感兴趣的话题,指导学生学习有关人物特点的单词、人物比较的表达及语法知识点“形容词的比较级”。
2. 培养学生的口头表达能力、阅读理解能力和写作能力。
3. 孩子们能友善与人相处,积极地学习他人的优点,克服自身的弱点,不断完善自我,正视他人。
[教学过程]
Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher tries to get familiar with the students. Say hello to some students individually.Compare the students with yourself,by using “ tall taller short shorter heavy heavier nice nicer long longer etc.”
[ 1、此次优质课大赛采用借班上课形式,学生与老师之间完全陌生。利用这个环节,调动学生的学习兴趣,增进师生间的相互了解。2、以学生和老师作为实例,展示形容词及其比较级为下一步呈现学习做好铺垫。]
Step 2 Presentation
1.New words presentation
(1).Talk about personal traits, using the pictures of Happy Lamb and Big Big Wolf. Then Learn some new words: calm/wild/athletic/outgoing.(用学生熟悉喜欢的卡通形象呈现新单词,清晰明了。激发兴趣。)
(2). Write the new words and some other important words on the blackboard.(强调重点)
Emphasize the comparative forms of them.Help students to find the grammar rules.
(3).Give students more adjectives.Ask them to tell the comparative forms.( Group work).(巩固练习)
2.Key structure presentation.
Give some examples about the figures on the ppt using than structure.
Prensent the key structure:A is ______ than B on the blackboard.
Then let students to use than structure to talk about the other figures on the ppt.eg.Pleasant Lamb is calmer than Big Big wolf.
[1、充分利用课本资源和网络资源,进行词汇句型教学,词不离句,形散而神不散。2、让学生在学中用,在用中学,体现以学生为中心的教学特点。]
Step 3 Sing a song.
T:Just now we talked about Sam and Lim. Do you know there is a famous song about them
Students must wonder about it.
T:Two tigers.
Sing part of the song .Then ask students to try. At last try to sing the song together. (在唱得过程中巩固重点句型)

Step 5 Listening Practice
Have students look at the two person on the screen.Ask students if they are twins.(Present the new word twin on the blackboard)
T: Of coures they are not twins.They are sisters.They are different.
Ask students to Listen to a conversation.Try to find the differences between them .Then fill in the blanks.
After finishing check their answers.
Then let students guess who is Sonia.

Step 5 Let me guess.
T: Now it’s my turn to guess.
Choose a name from the name list.( some of the names should be got before class).Then call students’ attention to one student.Ask students: Is he/she...
Students say yes or no. If not, ask them to tell the differences.

[抛弃课本上以图片为例的形式,以学生为主体,到学生中间来,让学生善于比较我们身边的人,以此引导学生操练重点句型,拉近师生距离。充分体现 “以人为本”的任务型语言教学模式。]
Step 6 Group work
Ask students to discuss their differences .Work in groups try to say more sentences as much as they can,using than structure.
[鼓励学生多想敢说。培养孩子们的自信心。]
Step 7 Consolidation.
Prepare some questions for students.Ask them to answer.

Step 8 Sum-up and Homework
1.Ask students what they have learned.Go through all the new words and key structure of this class.
2.Homework:
Talk with your parents about Anqing in the pare past and now.
Write something about the changes in Anqing,using than structure.
