Step1: Warming-up:
1) Let’s sing a song: Months of the Year
2) Review: January, February, March, and April. The festival.
Step2: Presentation:
1)????? Talk about 7-8 month. Maybe in Chinese.
T: There are 12 months in a year. Do you want to know their names? Let抯 learn the names of the months!
2) Listen to the tape and answer the questions:
Do you know what months they are talking about? Please listen again and find the names of the months.
Learn the new word: May.
T: In May, there is a holiday. Do you know what holiday is in January?
T: In June, there is a holiday. Do you know what holiday is in June?
Yes, it抯 Children抯 Day. What are the children in the picture doing?
3) Listen to the tape and answer the questions:
1)牋 Look at the cards, T: This is the seventh month of the year. It抯 July. Learn the new drill: July is the seventh month of the year.
2)牋 Look at the cards, T: This is the eighth month of the year. Its August. Learn the new drill: August is the eighth month of the year.
3)牋 T: Now, close your books and your eyes. Can you remember the names of the months? Just try! Let the students answer.
4)牋 T: Dont worry. Lets listen to the tape. Listen carefully and try to remember the names of the months.
5)牋 Listen the tape two times. And the teacher says: Close your eyes again and say the names after me. What is the sixth month of the year? S: June. And so on.
6) Listen the tape and read after it one by one.
Step3: Practice
1)牋牋 Let抯 draw and talk on Page53. Give every group a name: May Group, June Group, July Group, and August Group. Let them make a short dialogue.
2)牋牋 Play a guessing game: look at the pictures and answer: This is Its the month of the year.
