September is the ninth month of the year.
October is the tenth month of the year.
Students go back to school.

China’s National Day is on October 1st.
The children are celebrating National Day.

Presentation
1. Show the picture of Teachers Day and let Ss guess and learn what festival it is, then ask Ss搘hich month is Teachers Day in ?攁nd guide Ss to learn and master the new word: September, try to let Ss understand and learn the sentences below and ask them to pay attention to the change of the words nine - ninth..
September is the ninth month of the year.
Teachers Day is on September 10th.
2. Show Ss a calendar of October, and guide them to learn and master 揙ctober , 揙ctober is the tenth month of the year , 搕en-tenth. Then ask Ss if they know what festival is in October and guide them to learn : National Day , National Day is on October 1st.
3. Let Ss learn a chant to revise the new words and sentences learned just now , then encourage them to make a chant like that in groups and share it with the class.
4. Ask Ss if they want to know what Ss do on Teachers Day or National Day , then play the video of the text ,and let Ss just listen and watch for the first time, ask them to open their books and read the text together for the second time, after that, read again to find the answers to the questions given and underline them in the text. Lastly , check if Ss do correctly.
5. Ask Ss if they really need to give flowers to their mothers or teachers when Mother抯 Day or Teachers Day is coming, the answer is 揘o ,try to let Ss know that forming a good study habit is better than giving flowers to their parents and teachers as a gift of showing their love.
6. Let Ss form a group by themselves and make a new dialogue with the sentence patterns given, then practice it and perform it for the whole class in the front in groups.
7. Do some exercises to revise what Ss learned in this lesson and before.
8. learn and enjoy the song <12 months> to revise the months from 1-10 and preview the months: November, December
9. summarize the main points on the blackboard.
10. Assign Homework :
A. Read the text 3 times .
B. Sing the song and do the chant to your parents.
C. Try to make a new chant with months and festivals if you can.
