He is afraid of going out alone at night. 他害怕在夜里独自外出。 be afraid 后面还可接动词不定式和宾语从句。 例：Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need.　
如果你需要，不要害怕向别人求助。
注意区分alone和lonely
alone的意义是“单独、独自的”，而lonely则指“孤独的、寂寞的”。试看下面这个句子： The old man’s wife died a year ago. He lives alone now, and he feels really lonely. 这位老人的妻子一年前去世了。现在他独自生活，感到很孤独。
still 我们用still来说明某人或某物没有变化。
She still lives in Mexico. still应放在主要动词前面
He still lives in New Zealand. still应放在be动词后面。 He is still crazy after all these years. still 应放在助动词或情态动词之后 She can still play the piano.
