= What about doing sth.?
What about / How about doing sth? 表示“做某事怎么样？”，其用法有： (1) 用来询问情况或打听消息等，意为“……怎么样？/……如何？”。
(2) 用来提出请求，建议或征求对方意见，意为“（你认为）……怎么样？ /……如何？”。
eg： I’m ready. What about you? 我准备好了，你呢？

It’s a good idea to do …
It's a good idea to do sth. 意思是“做……是个好主意”。
=It is a great idea to do sth.
否定句：It isn't a good / great idea to do sth.
It's a good idea for sb. to do sth.意思是 “对某人来说是个好主意”。
eg：It’s a good idea to write down the teacher’s notes.
记下老师的笔记是一个好想法。
It’s a good idea for us to travel to the south.
去南方旅行对我们来说是个好主意。
每天检查自己的词汇笔记是一个好主意。

注意：1．主语是第一人称 I 或 we，可以用“Shall I …?”或“Shall we …?”引起疑问句以表示建议并征求对方意见。

Shall I come and meet you tomorrow afternoon?
2．也可以用“Let’s do …”来提出建议，let后面的宾语如果是代词，应用宾格，后面接不定式省略“to”。如：
Let's go for a walk after supper, shall we?
我们晚饭后去散散步吧，好吗？
3. 也可以用Would you like …?来提出建议，意思是“你想要吗?”，
would like后可接名词或不定式。如：
Would you like a cup of coffee? 你想来杯咖啡吗？
Would you like to play with me?你愿意和我一起玩吗？
4.也可以用You'd(You had) better …来提出建议，意思是“你最好是...”，后接动词原形。如：
You'd better see a doctor.你最好是去看医生。
对这些建议的肯定回答可以是OK./Good idea. /All right.等。
否定回答可以是No, let’s… / Sorry. 或 I want to but…等。
