Dear Danny,
This week in class, we talked about success. We studied famous people and talked about our favourite heroes.
Earlyier this year, I had told Ms Liu that I would like to help her teach our English class. On Monday, she asked me to make an example of a crossword puzzle. I thought it would be fun since I had done a lot of crossword puzzles when I was in Canada.
But whom would my puzzle be about Day after day, I asked myself that question. I thought about it as I walked to school. I thought about it later as I walked home.
Then I had a great idea. My puzzle wouldn’t be about somebody famous. But it would be about someday who wants to be famous.
I’m sending you the puzzle so you can try to guess who it is.

I loved your puzzle! You chose a very good hero. I hope he will be famous someday!
I showed the puzzle to Jenny and Brian as we ate our lunch today. I tole them that the puzzle was about a very great person. I said that this person was born in the same year as they were.
They couldn’t guess, so I helped them. I said that the person’s favourite food was a donut. Five minutes later, they had finished the whole puzzle. I told them that you had made it for me.

would like意为“想要”“愿意”,用于礼貌的提出要求或表示愿意提供帮助,后面接名词、代词、to+动词原形,不能加动名词。

like意为“喜欢”“喜爱”,后面接名词、代词、+动词原形或动名词。

because 表示直接原因,回答why的提问,一般放在主句之后,也可单独存在。

hope表 “希望”,后接不定式或从句.都用于实现的可能性很大的希望
即 hope to do sh. 或 hope that +从句
I hope to go shopping with Jenny this weekend.
I hope that I will go shopping with Jenny tonight.
wish表 “希望,但愿” 接不定式或接宾语再接不定式, 即wish to do sth. 或 wish sb. to do sth. 都表示大体上可以实现的. I wish you to finish your work tonight.
但wish 也可接从句时, 此时表示很难实现或无法实现的愿望,此时从句要用虚拟语气.
