September
is
one
of
the
very
best
months
to
visit
France.
Not
only
will
you
get
to
enjoy
plenty
of
sunshine
and
warm
weather,
but
the
tourist
season
is
beginning
to
wind
down

which
means
cheaper
airfares,
lower
prices
at
hotels,
and
fewer
crowds.
If
this
is
your
first
trip
to
France,
here
is
some
handy
information
to
help
you
get
started
planning
your
vacation!
Go
Wine
Tasting
September
is
the
beginning
of
the
grape
harvest
season
in
France,
meaning
there
are
plenty
of
wine-related
events
and
festivals
around
the
country.
So
September
is
a
great
time
to
visit
the
vineyards(葡萄园)
around
the
country
and
go
wine
tasting.
The
Bordeaux,
Loire
and
Burgundy
regions
are
all
lovely
and
great
places
to
visit
vineyards.
Besides
that,
going
to
the
castles
of
the
Loire
region
in
between
visiting
vineyards
on
such
warm
and
sunny
days
is
also
very
enjoyable.
Take
a
Barge
Cruise(游艇巡游)
The
temperatures
are
slightly
lower,
but
plenty
of
sunshine
makes
for
perfect
conditions
to
enjoy
a
barge
cruise
on
the
canals
of
France.
With
such
comfortable
weather
and
beautiful
scenery
at
this
time
of
year,
nothing
equals
hanging
out
on
the
deck
of
a
barge.
Visit
the
Museums
Many
museums
in
France
have
extended
opening
hours
during
the
summer
to
accommodate
the
extra
tourists
and
locals,
and
some
museums
also
have
extended
opening
hours
into
September.
Wandering
around
the
Louvre(卢浮宫)will
take
you
into
a
wonder
world,
where
you
can
enjoy
world-famous
art.
Going
out
of
the
Louvre,
you
can
walk
to
the
modern
and
fashionable
Champs
Elysees
to
do
some
shopping.
Besides
the
above,
riding
a
bike
through
France’s
villages
is
also
a
welcome
activity
for
young
visitors
in
September.
So,
don’t
hesitate
and
start
to
plan
your
September
trip
to
France
now.

Loire.
C.
Burgundy.
D.
Paris.

and
noisy.
D.
Warm
and
quiet.
B
We
can
express
thoughts
and
feelings
and
send
sounds
and
pictures
on
our
smartphones
today.
We
also
communicate
using
programs
like
Skype
and
Face
Time.
We
can’t
send
tastes,
smells
or
touch
like
people
do
in
the
real
world,
of
course.
Professor
Adrian
David
Cheok
at
City
University
in
London
is
trying
to
develop
a
way
for
smartphones
to
do
just
that.
To
give
users
a
sense
of
taste,
researchers
designed
two
electrodes(电极)that
are
placed
on
the
tongue.
A
chemical
process
creates
different
tastes
through
molecules(分子)on
the
surface
of
the
tongue.
This
chemical
process
sends
electrical
signals
that
convince
the
brain
that
a
person
is
tasting
something.
They
have
already
created
sour,
salty,
sweet
and
bitter
tastes.
“You
put
your
tongue
between
these
two
silver
electrodes
and
then
it
stimulates
your
tongue
electrically
and
you
get
a
virtual
taste
sense
in
your
brain.”
A
device
called
Scentee
permits
users
to
have
the
sense
of
smell.
Scentee
plugs
into
a
smartphone
and
can
spray(释放)tiny
clouds
of
fragrances
(气味),
including
flowers,
fruit
and
coffee.
Professor
Cheok
says
the
person
speaking
can
activate
the
device.
“Basically
what
happens
is
that
we
have
an
app,
it
connects
to
the
Internet
and
then
this
will
release
a
scent
from
your
mobile
phone.”
Scentee
holds
a
container
with
about
100
different
smells.
The
container
must
be
replaced
when
all
the
scents
run
out.
The
sense
of
touch
comes
from
a
ring-like
device.
It
is
connected
wirelessly
to
the
smartphone.
The
device
sends
a
soft,
electrical
squeeze
(挤压)when
a
person
on
the
other
end
of
a
telephone
conversation
does
the
same.
Professor
Cheok
says
this
permits
a
kind
of
wireless
touch
communication.
“I
can
be
in
London
and
my
friend
can
be
in
Tokyo,
and
I
can
squeeze
my
finger
and
then
he’ll
get
a
squeeze
on
his
finger
through
the
Internet.
It’s
a
way
of
touch
communication
with
small
mobile
devices.”
24.Which

the
following
functions
of
smartphones

NOT
referred
to
in
the
text?
A.
Sending
tastes.
B.
Sending
smells.
C.
Sensing
the
owner’s
feelings.
D.
Touching
people
you
are
communicating
with
through
the
phone.
25.
The
order
of
the
process
in
which
people
can
feel
tastes
through
smartphones
is
.
①A
chemical
process
creates
different
tastes
on
the
tongue.
②Put
the
tongue
between
the
two
electrodes.
③The
tongue
is
stimulated
electrically.
④The
chemical
process
sends
electrical
signals
to
the
brain.
A.①②③④
B.③④①②
C.②③①④
D.③①②④
26.

word
“activate”
in
the
third
paragraph?
A.

B.
Encourage.
C.
Promote.
D.
Operate.
27.
The
text
is
intended
to
.

a
new
kind
of
technology
B.
describe
some
future
uses
of
smartphones
C.
show
the
effects
that
smartphones
have
on
people
D.
advise
people
to
keep
in
close
contact
through

C
When
we
talk
about
positive
thinking,
we
often
use
terms
having
to
do
with
our
hearts---open
heart,
pure
heart
or
joyful
heart.
But
new
research
from
Duke
University
is
making
a
closer
connection,
finding
that
a
positive
attitude
may
be
helpful
to
people
who
have
angina
(心绞痛),
a
common
heart
condition.
Symptoms
of
this
condition
include
chest
pain
or
pressure
because
the
heart
is
not
receiving
sufficient
oxygen.
Patients
who
displayed
optimistic
thought
patterns,
including
having
positive
expectations
about
recovery,
were
40
percent
less
likely
to
be
hospitalized
or
require
surgery
than
those
who
were
not
optimistic
according
to
the
study.
The
researchers
collected
data
from
2,
400
patients
who
had
diagnoses
of
angina.
An
interesting
additional
finding
from
the
patients'
questionnaires
was
that
the
most
optimistic
patients
were
also
the
least
likely
to
have
histories
of
heart
attack,
heart
failure
or
heart
disease.
The
researchers
did
not
declare
a
causal
relationship
between
positive
thinking
and
better
heart
disease
outcomes,
however.
There
are
multiple
possible
reasons
for
the
results
of
the
study,
including
the
idea
that
patients
who
are
healthier
to
begin
with
are
more
likely
to
expect
to
recover
and
regain
good
health.
But
the
study
does
represent
a
new
way
of
looking
at
the
situation.
Now,
in
addition
to
a
body
of
research
that
examines
the
relationship
between
depression
and
heart
health,
there
is
a
new
way
of
inquiry
that
asks
whether
positive
thinking
could
be
used
as
a
strategy
to
improve
outcomes.
Lead
researcher
Alexander
Fanaroff,
a
fellow
in
the
department
of
cardiolo(心脏病学)
at
the
Duke
University
Medical
Center,
told
the
Duke
Chronicle
that
his
next
research
question
will
find
ways
to
improve
attitudes
among
heart
patients.
Perhaps
his
subjects
could
reflect
on
the
word
of
the
writer
Anthony
J.
D
Angelo:
“smile,
it
is
the
key
that
fits
the
lock
of
everybody’s
heart.”
28.
How
can
people
with
angina
get
better
according
to
the
study
A.
By
expecting
more
B.
By
thinking
positively.
C.
By
getting
timely
surgery
D.
By
taking
more
exercise
29.
What
may
be
Allexander
Fanaroff's
next
research?
A.
to
explore
how
to
improve
patients’
attitudes.
B.
To
find
out
the
ways
to
treat
heart
patients.
C.
To
learn
the
causes
of
heart
diseases.
D.
To
test
if
positive
attitudes
help
with
health.
30.
What
can
we
learn
from
the
text?
A
Optimistic
people
hardly
get
heart
attack.
B.
People's
attitudes
decide
their
overall
health
C.
How
positive
thinking
benefits
heart
health
is
unclear.
D.
The
reason
why
patients
recover
well
is
that
they
have
no
depression.
31.
What
may
be
the
best
title
for
the
text?
A.
Keep
positive
to
get
rid
of
illness
B.
Angina,
a
kind
of
serious
condition
C.
Depression,
a
key
cause
of
heart
attack
D.
Positive
thinking
makes
hearts
healthier

My
mother
always
said,
"You
young
men
should
explore
your
own
country
before
stepping
out
into
the
world.
"It
seemed
like
a
tough
task.
But
luckily
for
me,
Via
Rail
Canada
offered
youths
between
the
ages
of
18
and
25
the
chance
to
ride
the
train
across
Canada
for
the
month
of
July
in
2017.
I
jumped
at
the
opportunity
and
secured
an
inexpensive
ticket
Excitement
was
at
its
peak
as
I
approached
the
train
station
on
the
morning
when
my
22-day
adventure
was
to
begin.
I
jumped
on
board
the
passenger
vessel
like
it
was
the
train
to
Hogwarts
in
Harry
Potter.
The
train
headed
west
in
search
of
our
first
destination-the
scenic
town
of
Banff,
Alberta.
After
just
an
hour
on
the
train,
desperation
already
came
on
me.
The
thought
of
three
full
days
on
those
tracks
broke
my
spirits.
As
I
gazed
out
towards
Lake
Superiors
glistening
waves,
I
decided
if
I
was
to
be
stuck
in
here,
I
would
need
to
enjoy
my
time.
Those
three
days
turned
into
a
summer
camp
on
rails.
Real
friendships
with
the
crew
were
born
within
that
train.
Stops
were
made
in
small,
remote
railroad
villages.
A
large
group
of
strangers
turned
travelling
companions
would
rush
towards
the
villages
to
reward
our
endless
patience
with
local
cuisine.
At
night,
we
would
walk
to
the
glass-domed
train
car,
which
gave
a
scenic
view
of
the
night
sky,
untouched
by
light
pollution.
After
three
days,
we
arrived
in
Banff
Before
my
adventure
of
taking
the
train
across
Canada,
if
I
could
ave
skipped
the
travel
and
arrived
at
the
destination,
I
would
have.
But
that
is
no
longer
true.
I’ve
learned
that
the
journey
can
be
more
enjoyable
than
the
destination.
