教学目标
知识与能力目标：
⑴ 能理解并运用本单元重点句型。
⑵ 能正确运用句型相互问答身高、体重、大小、长短，如：How tall are you 。
2．过程与方法目标：
（1）提高和发展学生的听说能力；
（2）激发学生的学习兴趣以及综合运用语言的能力。
（3）培养学生的交际能力与创新精神。
3．情感与态度目标：
⑴ 培养学生在观察中联系英语的习惯；⑵ 培养学生的合作精神；⑶ 渗透健康教育。
二、教学重点及难点
重点：掌握询问他人的基本情况的特殊疑问句。
难点：提高学生综合运用语言的能力。
三、教学准备：卷尺、秤、各类文具、单词卡片、自制图片。
四、教法和学法：
　　教法：情境教学法、听说法、任务型教学法等。
学法：TPR 小组学习法。
五、教学步骤
Step 1 Warming up
1． 师生问候。T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to see you again!How are you today Ss: I’m fine ,thank you .And you T : I’m fine,too.
2． 唱已学的英文歌曲。
3．利用单词卡片或图片复习已学单词。
4．复习课文A部分。
Step 2 Presentation and drill
1. 介绍新朋友（可以是人，也可以是利用头饰或图片扮演的动物），与学生们进行交流，启发学生们询问他的基本情况。
T：Today, I’ll introduce you a new friend. Please ask him some questions, OK
Ss : OK.
S1: What’s your name T: My name is ……
S2: How old are you T: I’m …..years old.
S3: How tall are you T: I’m …….cm. 教师边与学生会话，边板书重点句型并教学，帮助学生理解意思。
采访明星。出示图片姚明、潘长江、刘欢、巩汉林和刘翔及相关的资料。
Step 3 Practice
1．课文D 部分。①Lead-in. T asks the following questions: How old/tall/heavy are you Pair work. Look at pictures. Ask each other questions. Write down the answers.
②A survey: Extension
How heavy is your bag How long is your arm ...
T writes the sentence on Bb and help Ss understand the meaning. Read the sentence after T.
③Open the books at Page23, Ss write the sentences on the book.
2．让学生们相互彼此之间的基本情况，并做好记录。然后选择几名学生进行汇报。
Step 4. Consolidation
创设情景，自由会话。情景：模拟八年后的部队招兵体检现场，应试者正向招兵单位介绍自己的基本情况。（每组选一名“招考官”，其余学生均为“应试者”鼓励学生综合运用已学的知识进行交流。）
评价。教师对学生的表现进行评价，给予肯定和鼓励，激发学生的求知欲望，提高学生的学习能力。
家庭作业。
听磁带，背课文。
熟记单词，抄写单词并准备听写。
调查家庭成员的身高、体重和年龄，并记录下来。
