三、阅读理解(共20小题,每小题2分,满分40分)
A(2020年河南)
"Are
you
listening,
Simon?"
Simon's
teacher
asked.
It
was
a
pretty
usual
question.
Simon
shook
his
head,
smiling.
He
hardly
listened
or
tried
hard
in
class.
Talking
was
so
much
fun.
He
wanted
to
be
heard
rather
than
listen.
"Listen,
and
you'll
learn
something."
Mrs.
Jacobs
tried
every
day,
but
Simon
never
paid
attention.
That
evening,
his
throat
really
hurt.
The
next
morning,
when
he
opened
his
mouth
to
say
"Good
morning",
nothing
came
out
but
a
croak.
Simon's
mother
looked
at
him.
"Honey,
you've
lost
your
voice."
"Can
I
stay
home?"
He
tried
to
ask,
but
words
didn't
come
out.
Instead,
his
mother
checked
him
for
a
fever
and
decided
it
was
good
for
him
to
go
to
school,
even
if
he
couldn't
talk.
When
he
got
to
school,
Mrs.
Jacobs
said
"Hello"
to
him,
and
he
just
nodded.
When
his
friends
asked
him
what
TV
shows
he
watched
last
night,
he
just
shrugged.
By
the
time
the
bell
rang
for
class,
almost
everyone
was
looking
at
him
as
if
he'd
grown
a
third
eye.
Penny
raised
her
hand.
"Mrs.
Jacobs,
why
isn't
Simon
talking?"
"He
never
stops
talking."
Richard
said
worriedly.
Everyone
started
talking
at
once.
They
were
excited,
worried,
and
surprised.
Simon
sat
in
class
bored.
He
watched
them
talk
to
each
other
as
if
the
teacher
wasn't
there,
but
he
couldn't
even
do
that.
In
math
class
he
could
hold
up
fingers
if
the
answer
was
less
than
10,
but
that
wasn't
fun.
He
decided
to
try
to
pay
attention.
He
could
do
his
homework
that
night.
It
gave
him
TV
and
game
time
with
his
work
all
done.
The
next
day,
even
though
his
voice
was
coming
back,
he
stayed
quiet
again.
The
third
day,
he
could
talk
fine,
but
he
listened
and
raised
his
hand
to
speak.
What
a
difference
that
one
day
made!

Isabel
Allende’s
novels
are
enjoyed
all
over
the
world.
She
is
famous
for
her
creativity
and
imagination.
And
her
own
personal
story
is
as
amazing
as
any
she
has
ever
told
in
a
novel.
Born
in
1942,
Allende’s
family
moved
often
during
her
childhood.
She
went
to
school
in
South
America,
Europe,
and
Asia.
As
a
young
woman,
she
became
a
journalist
in
Santiago,
Chile’s
capital
city.
Then,
she
got
married
and
had
two
children.
In
1970,
everything
began
to
change.
Isabel
Allende’s
uncle
was
a
political
leader
named
Salvador
Allende.
In
1970,
her
uncle
was
elected
president
of
Chile.
In
1973,
President
Allende
was
killed
during
the
fighting.
When
Isabel
Allende
began
to
fear
for
her
life,
she
and
her
family
decided
to
move
to
Venezuela.
It
was
really
a
painful
experience
for
Isabel
Allende
to
leave
her
country.
Without
this
experience,
however,
Allende
said
she
never
would
have
begun
writing
novels.
Then
she
got
a
phone
call
from
Chile,
Her
grandfather
was
dying,
She
knew
she
could
not
return
home
to
be
with
him,
but
she
wanted
to
respect
him
in
some
way.
“I
decided
to
write
a
letter
about
all
the
things
he
told
us
when
we
were
young.”
Allende
explained.
Later,
she
wrote
a
long
letter
which
became
Allende’s
first
novel,
The
House
of
the
Spirits,
“I
spent
ten,
twelve
hours
a
day
in
a
room,
writing,”
Allende
says,
“I
don’t
talk
to
anybody;
I
don’t
answer
the
phone.”
When
she
finished
the
first
draft
of
a
new
novel,
Allende
mailed
a
copy
to
her
strictest
critic.”
I
send
it
to
my
mother.
She
read
it
and
came
here
with
a
red
pen.
We
fight
for
a
month
at
least,”
Allende
then
went
back
to
work
until
she
felt
the
book
was
finished.

storytelling

the
fun
part”
she
said,

work!”

“What!
You,
too?
I
thought
I
was
the
only
one.”
Have
you
ever
said
this
to
anyone?
If
so,
you
may
have
ended
up
becoming
friends
with
this
person.
It
seems
that
similarity
often
helps
form
friendships.
The
Greek
philosopher
Aristotle
once
said,
“Some
people
define
‘friendship’
as
a
matter
of
similarity,
they
say
that
we
love
those
who
are
like
ourselves.”
Now,
there
is
some
science
behind
this
idea.
Scientists
from
University
of
California
said
friends
have
similar
brains,
Scientific
American
reported.
The
scientists
invited
42
university
students
to
take
part
in
an
experiment.
Each
student
watched
the
same
set
of
videos,
which
included
a
comedy,
a
discussion
and
a
soccer
match.
Meanwhile,
the
scientists
studied
their
brains
and
recorded
their
brain
activity.
According
to
their
study,
friends
who
watched
the
same
video
clips
reacted
in
similar
ways.
Similar
parts
of
their
brains
lit
up
while
watching
the
videos,
especially
parts
that
are
connected
with
motivation,
learning
and
memory.
However,
people
who
weren’t
friends
had
different
reactions
to
the
same
clips.
Having
close
friends
whose
brains
react
like
ours
“may
be
rewarding
because
it
makes
one’s
own
values,
opinions,
and
interests
strong”,
lead
scientist
Carolyn
Parkinson
told
Business
Insider.
But
brain
similarity
is
not
the
only
thing
that
can
result
in
friendship.
Scientists
from
the
University
of
Leipzig,
Germany,
found
that
friendship
is
also
based
on
how
physically
close
you
are
to
someone.
They
did
an
experiment
with
first-year
college
students
who
met
in
class
for
the
first
time.
In
this
experiment,
students
who
sat
in
neighboring
seats
were
more
likely
to
become
friends.
36.

idea"

三、阅读理解(共20小题,每小题2分,满分40分)
A(2020年河南)
"Are
you
listening,
Simon?"
Simon's
teacher
asked.
It
was
a
pretty
usual
question.
Simon
shook
his
head,
smiling.
He
hardly
listened
or
tried
hard
in
class.
Talking
was
so
much
fun.
He
wanted
to
be
heard
rather
than
listen.
"Listen,
and
you'll
learn
something."
Mrs.
Jacobs
tried
every
day,
but
Simon
never
paid
attention.
That
evening,
his
throat
really
hurt.
The
next
morning,
when
he
opened
his
mouth
to
say
"Good
morning",
nothing
came
out
but
a
croak.
Simon's
mother
looked
at
him.
"Honey,
you've
lost
your
voice."
"Can
I
stay
home?"
He
tried
to
ask,
but
words
didn't
come
out.
Instead,
his
mother
checked
him
for
a
fever
and
decided
it
was
good
for
him
to
go
to
school,
even
if
he
couldn't
talk.
When
he
got
to
school,
Mrs.
Jacobs
said
"Hello"
to
him,
and
he
just
nodded.
When
his
friends
asked
him
what
TV
shows
he
watched
last
night,
he
just
shrugged.
By
the
time
the
bell
rang
for
class,
almost
everyone
was
looking
at
him
as
if
he'd
grown
a
third
eye.
Penny
raised
her
hand.
"Mrs.
Jacobs,
why
isn't
Simon
talking?"
"He
never
stops
talking."
Richard
said
worriedly.
Everyone
started
talking
at
once.
They
were
excited,
worried,
and
surprised.
Simon
sat
in
class
bored.
He
watched
them
talk
to
each
other
as
if
the
teacher
wasn't
there,
but
he
couldn't
even
do
that.
In
math
class
he
could
hold
up
fingers
if
the
answer
was
less
than
10,
but
that
wasn't
fun.
He
decided
to
try
to
pay
attention.
He
could
do
his
homework
that
night.
It
gave
him
TV
and
game
time
with
his
work
all
done.
The
next
day,
even
though
his
voice
was
coming
back,
he
stayed
quiet
again.
The
third
day,
he
could
talk
fine,
but
he
listened
and
raised
his
hand
to
speak.
What
a
difference
that
one
day
made!
Word
Bankthroat
喉咙croak
低哑声shrug
耸肩

33.B

35.A
由原文第四段此句话前一句
“she

came
here
with
a
red
pen.”及后一句“Allende

D
“What!
You,
too?
I
thought
I
was
the
only
one.”
Have
you
ever
said
this
to
anyone?
If
so,
you
may
have
ended
up
becoming
friends
with
this
person.
It
seems
that
similarity
often
helps
form
friendships.
The
Greek
philosopher
Aristotle
once
said,
“Some
people
define
‘friendship’
as
a
matter
of
similarity,
they
say
that
we
love
those
who
are
like
ourselves.”
Now,
there
is
some
science
behind
this
idea.
Scientists
from
University
of
California
said
friends
have
similar
brains,
Scientific
American
reported.
The
scientists
invited
42
university
students
to
take
part
in
an
experiment.
Each
student
watched
the
same
set
of
videos,
which
included
a
comedy,
a
discussion
and
a
soccer
match.
Meanwhile,
the
scientists
studied
their
brains
and
recorded
their
brain
activity.
According
to
their
study,
friends
who
watched
the
same
video
clips
reacted
in
similar
ways.
Similar
parts
of
their
brains
lit
up
while
watching
the
videos,
especially
parts
that
are
connected
with
motivation,
learning
and
memory.
However,
people
who
weren’t
friends
had
different
reactions
to
the
same
clips.
Having
close
friends
whose
brains
react
like
ours
“may
be
rewarding
because
it
makes
one’s
own
values,
opinions,
and
interests
strong”,
lead
scientist
Carolyn
Parkinson
told
Business
Insider.
But
brain
similarity
is
not
the
only
thing
that
can
result
in
friendship.
Scientists
from
the
University
of
Leipzig,
Germany,
found
that
friendship
is
also
based
on
how
physically
close
you
are
to
someone.
They
did
an
experiment
with
first-year
college
students
who
met
in
class
for
the
first
time.
In
this
experiment,
students
who
sat
in
neighboring
seats
were
more
likely
to
become
friends.
36.
What
does
“this
idea"
in
Paragraph
3
refer
to?
A.
Many
friendships
start
with
small
chats.
B.
Friends
try
to
develop
similarities
between
themselves.
C.
people
with

【答案】
Television
has
become
one
of
the
most
important
parts
of
our
life.
Some
programmes
on
TV
are
very
educational
and
useful.
We
can
learn
much
knowledge
on
TV.
For
example,
the
news
tells
us
what
are
happening
all
over
the
world.
The
ads
tell
us
what
things
are
good
and
cheap.
The
movies
make
our
life
colourful.
But
some
programmes
are
unhealthy
for
teenagers
and
some
ads
are
misleading.
Watching
TV
too
much
is
bad
for
our
eyes
too.
We
can't
change
what
is
on
TV,
but
we
can
choose
what
we
watch.
