Lesson 22 Special holidays in China!
一、教材分析
本课主要谈论中国的传统节日,是春节这一课的继续。谈论了端午节和中秋节及其相关活动。这篇对话语篇的呈现形式,给学生提供了模仿交际的范本。突出了语言是用来做事的思想。可通过游戏和活动,创设真实的语言情景,来调动学生的积极性,从而激发学生的学习兴趣,为进一步学习打下基础。
教学对象为五年级学生,学生已学习了有关春节的单词和句型,有了一定基础。他们口语表达较为灵活,而且挑战自己,乐于展示自我。本课通过一些小组、竞赛游戏等活动,充分调动了学生的学习兴趣。使其掌握所学,并灵活运用。
二、教学目标:
1. 认读和理解新单词boat,moon及短语have dragon boat races, eat zongzi, watch the moon, eat moon cakes.
2. 了解中国其他两个传统节日及其相关活动。
3. 通过阅读课文获取关键信息并能根据提示来介绍中秋节和端午节。
4. 培养学生热爱祖国传统文化的爱国情怀。
三、教学重、难点: 了解端午节和中秋节及其相关活动,自己能独立介绍端午节和中秋节的活动,以及能通过自己的调查来介绍中国其他的传统节日。

本课讲述中国传统节日及其相关活动。首先通过猜节日引入本课的学习。运用语篇阅读策略,通过略读、寻读等方式,让学生对本课有一个宏观、深入的了解。并通过各种活动放手锻炼孩子。体现学生的主动性。提升了学生的学习能力。符合五年级学生的学习习惯。大量的活动,歌曲和chant, 寓教于乐。有效地激发和保持学生兴趣和参与热情。课堂设计的练习让学生的听、说、读、写能力得到了巩固和提升。节日调查的活动体现了任务型的教学模式。通过小组相互合作完成任务。引导学生养成大胆开口,与人交流的良好习惯,培养了学生综合运用语言的能力。互助合作也让不同程度的孩子都有所提升。课后作业的布置拓展学生思维,将英语学习由课内延伸到课外。
